We are still mid missives, moving towards exchange of contract day, but so far, it's all been good. I was selling on behalf of my brother with dementia, but they were very understanding and helpful. Advertising etc was good - it was not an easy property to sell, but they did it. All communications have been clear and good. I only did 4 stars for value for money as we are yet to see what the final costs will be. Very disappointed with my selling experience with McEwan Fraser. I paid for the upgraded service and definitely did not feel this was value for money. I think all estate agents aren't very good, but I couldn't with a clean conscious suggest McEwan Fraser to anyone. It would often take at least 24hrs for someone to get back in touch with me (sometimes almost a week) and if I called after 6 then the only option was for them to ask someone to call me back the next day. This is one of the key selling points of their upgraded package and it was a total waste of money.... Read more

The agent talked up the value of the flat and no-one offered over the valuation price. I have only had 1 private viewer. The rest have been investors. If I'd known that investors were my best option, I would have taken the first offer, despite being 2k below the asking price. Lots of 'informal offers' that don't materials. Poor so far.... Everyone that we have dealt with throughout the whole organisation who is involved with selling properties leaves a lot to be desired apart from one person. If it’s not answering the phone for at least 10-15 mins on occasion. We had people coming to house saying they had been trying to phone office and getting nowhere. So we tried it and it was shocking. Sending viewers who were in no position to sell so it was a waste of everyone’s time. Saying viewers were ready to offer but in reality they had places to sell. It’s been a nightmare from start to…..not yet finished.... Read more

Without going in to all the details, I can only say that the level of incompetence I encountered from using MFL in selling my property and purchasing another (neither of which happened ultimately), was quite simply astounding. They managed to make what is already a highly stressful situation 10 times more stressful by being incapable of following though with actions they stated they would, or that I requested, and generally just providing a well bellow adequate service. For a start they provided a brochure that was so riddled with grammatical errors, and just generally did NOT actually SELL my property, that I actually had to rewrite the text myself...and that was just the start of the never-ending issues that cropped up. If MFL invested even half as much time & effort into marketing the properties of their clients as they do their own company, they might be half way to fulfilling their own advertising claims....
