After I had an offer accepted, Kate was amazing at keeping thing progressing through the conveyancing process and made sure to help with any sticking points which I really appreciated! I was not expecting such a personal level of service from a high street estate agent and was very pleasantly surprised - thanks to Liz, Kate and the whole team!
17th Mar 2026 (1 day ago)Following the death of my brother, I appointed JWWood to sell his property. Notwithstanding a perceived problem, the agent obtained numerous offers around the asking price and although one offer fell through after lengthy procrastination by the proposed buyer Clare Richardson and her team rapidly obtained another offer at a higher price. Thereafter Clare became my point of contact and after several months during which numerous issues needed to be resolved, the sale has now been completed. Many thanks goes to Clare for the professional manner in which she has handled a multitude of issues from the time the property was listed for sale to completion.

The whole team was professional, efficient and very easy to communicate with from start to finish. I would especially like to highlight Wendy, who was incredibly helpful and professional hroughout the process – always patient, proactive and clear in her updates. She consistently followed up on my questions, kept me informed at every stage and really helped to reduce the stress of buying a property. Sarah and Lorna were also very supportive and responsive whenever I had questions or needed clarification. From viewings and negotiations through to completion, everything felt well organised and well managed. This was my first purchase through a limited company, and their guidance and coordination made a real difference. Right from the get go they were engaged with our property, amenable to our requests and willing to go the extra mile. The quality of the photography made us consider wanting to put in an offer for our home! We were actually away on holiday during the sale of our home (it took just two weeks to have a confirmed sale) but John did a fantastic job of showing people around the property even looking after a little one in the garden so her parents had time to look around without distraction. John's advice was also invaluable when we came to 'best and final' offers. The support did not stop at the memorandum of sale but continued with frequent communication throughout the whole of the selling process and WalkersXchange provided an excellent liaison between us and the buyers. Thank you to all of you for making this often complex journey so pain free; we have highly recommended you to friends and family.

Roz and Terri-Leigh have been fantastic to work with when buying our buy-to-let properties both are knowledgeable, honest, and truly committed to delivering a great service. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hive and will definitely continue using them for all of our future BTL investments.
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
