After being let down by them multiple times in the past I made the big mistake of going back to them. I contacted them in November 2025 for some new TA's to be created and so Abbie agreed to do the work. However I am still waiting for this work to be done its now October 2026!<br><br>I have been chasing them for months only to be ignored (over multiple emails and dozens of phone calls, her colleagues always advise me she's not available after being put on hold, clearly ignoring me! and that she will call me back, which never happens). I will not be using Bairstow Eves Lettings ever again. If I could give them 0 stars I would! Poor service!!

He kept my partner and I well informed from our initial viewing all the way through to signing for the keys. We really appreciated his professionalism and support, which made everything run smoothly.

Steve, Jules, and Amelia were hands on from the start and the communication and support we received throughout a complex period was fantastic. Unlike some estate agents in the area who make promises that they do not fulfil, FHP provide a first class, personal service from start to finish.

They claim that they'll get back to me, then I wait weeks without a response despite multiple follow up emails and calls. Sometimes I wait all day in my flat for someone to come in and fix the problem but they never come as promised. Will avoid this agency at all cost from now on

22nd Oct 2026 (5 days ago)My experience with Frank Innes Mapperley has been incredibly stressful and disappointing, particularly regarding the return of my security deposit and the way I was treated by their staff.<br><br>I moved out of the property on 13 August, and it has now been more than two months without receiving my deposit or getting a satisfactory resolution. My landlord, Jeanette, has repeatedly failed to respond to my messages, while the agent’s position is that the deposit cannot be released until the landlord agrees. I have contacted the landlord multiple times and even requested the return of my deposit through the MyDeposits website, but neither the landlord nor the agent has responded appropriately.<br><br>What makes this situation even more frustrating is that MyDeposits has informed me that the deposit is held under an insured scheme through Countrywide, which is associated with Frank Innes. My understanding is of what mydeposit said is that, under an insured scheme, the landlord or agent retains the deposit while the scheme provides the protection in my case agent keeps the deposit. Therefore, I find it unacceptable that I am being left chasing my own money without a clear explanation, a proper response, or a resolution.<br><br>The landlord’s excuses have been equally frustrating. At different times, I have been told that she does not have the key because the agent has it, that she is away, or that there is already another tenant in the property. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for my deposit. The lack of communication and accountability has left me feeling completely disregarded as a former tenant.<br><br>I am also concerned about the time limits associated with the deposit scheme. I understand that there may be time limits for initiating a deposit return through MyDeposits, and I do not want my attempts to recover my own money to be jeopardised by the landlord’s and agent’s failure to respond.<br><br>Unfortunately, the problems began well before I moved out. At the start of my tenancy, Frank Innes provided me with an incorrect inventory. When I emailed them about the issue, I was simply told to forward it to the landlord and contact her directly. The landlord subsequently said she was ill, and the matter was never properly resolved. I expected the letting agent to take responsibility for helping resolve tenancy-related issues, rather than simply passing everything back to the landlord.<br><br>My experience with Abby Ashmore during my final month was particularly upsetting. She insisted that access to the property was required on a working day, despite my explaining that I would be at work and could make arrangements to provide the key over the weekend. I was then told to drop the key off at the Mapperley office. I live in Sherwood and do not drive, so this was not a reasonable or convenient option for me on a working day. When I questioned why I should be expected to travel to the office while working, and suggested that the agent contact the landlord to arrange access to the key safe, my concerns were not addressed satisfactorily. The situation ultimately left me having to leave my key outside while I was at work. I felt extremely uncomfortable about the security implications of this arrangement. Had anything gone missing or had the property been accessed by an unauthorised person, who would have taken responsibility?<br><br>Overall, I have felt unsupported, ignored, and forced to do all the chasing myself. The way my deposit issue has been handled, combined with the inventory problems and the stressful arrangements surrounding access to the property, has seriously undermined my trust in this agency.<br><br>A tenant should not have to spend months chasing their own deposit while receiving little or no meaningful communication from the people responsible for dealing with it. I have kept all messages and supporting evidence to substantiate my experience and can provide them if required.

9th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)Terrible, will not respond to maintenance requests unless you call them and repeatedly follow up. Even then they probably won’t fix it - we could not stay in our kitchen over winter as it was too cold but they fixed the radiator 4 months after the request was submitted. They take ages to get back to you about your deposit and are completely unreasonable. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ESTATE AGENTS.

We've had a few viewings with them and although we're still on our journey we've found the knowledge the agents have imparted upon us to be very insightful. Especially Nick Ashford - and incredibly helpful chap! Really knows his stuff, and it's very refreshing to not feel pressured into a purchase. We had a couple of viewings with him, and although we still haven't found 'The One' we felt that he understood our position as a growing family. Our focal point Sophie was always really responsive, any issues were fixed quickly and Sophie would always let us know in advance if they needed to pop round to check something or facilitate a viewing.
