He has an excellent understanding of the market from both the seller’s and buyer’s perspective, which makes a real difference.<br>Communication throughout the process is always clear and consistent, and Chris is very good at keeping things moving. On a number of occasions, he has helped the process, resolving issues and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.<br>Professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with — we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris and his team.

- 31st Jul 2026 (23 days ago)I have been working with Connor O’Hara over the past few months to find a property in Woodingdean. Connor has been a stellar agent with great communication. He has identified properties that closely match what I am looking for, and hasn't been pushing for properties outside my search (which is common among agents and can be frustrating). He has been flexible with viewings and maintained good communication via regular phone calls. He has also always had hand-outs with particulars to share upon viewing properties, and brought additional particulars for my family members when they came along for second viewings. Connor is very professional, friendly, understanding, and responsive.

16th Aug 2026 (7 days ago)If I could give lower than a 1 star review I would. We had a very disappointing experience renting through Brand Vaughan.<br><br>At the viewing we specifically asked about mould and were told there were no issues. On moving in, we immediately found mould in kitchen cupboards, and later in both bathrooms and on an external kitchen wall. We were later told by a contractor working on the property that these issues were already known, which is extremely concerning but as the property had been repainted etc before we moved in the issue was temporarily unnoticable. It has since returned despite running dehumidifiers 24hours a day since we moved in.<br><br>The communication throughout the process was also poor, with unclear and inconsistent information, delays with contracts, and repeated difficulty getting straight answers at key stages of the move.<br><br>We were advised not to book removals due to contract delays, which ultimately caused unnecessary stress and a delayed move-in, despite rent already being paid.<br><br>I would advise future tenants to independently verify everything rather than relying on information provided during the letting process as the letting agent we dealt with seemed totally ill prepared and quite novice at his job.<br><br>**In response to the comment below from Charters even insinuating that it isn't a genuine review, it could unfortunately could not be a truer representation of the horrendous experience I had with them. I lodged a formal complaint via email already and the useless response I got just goes to show how little they care.<br><br>DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS!
12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)I can’t recommend Nicholas James highly enough, and in particular Sharon Francis, who has been absolutely fantastic to deal with over the past few years during our tenancy.<br><br>As a PM myself, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes to keep clients happy, and Sharon really does go above and beyond. Whenever we call or email, we can be confident that whatever we need will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and Sharon is always friendly, professional and incredibly helpful.<br><br>It’s such a pleasure to deal with someone who genuinely cares about providing a great service. Our family really appreciate everything Sharon does for us and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and Nicholas James to anyone looking for a letting agent.<br><br>Thank you, Sharon! ??????

It was especially Coco who we were in regular contact with for more than a year. Her professional, at the same time kind and polite attitude made it easier and quicker for us to resolve the different issues regarding our flat. 13th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience dealing with Sawyer & Co on a purchase in Brighton. Our main point of contact was Bob Beaken, and communication throughout was poor - basic management pack queries went unchased for weeks, information was mixed and kept changing, and updates were inconsistent.<br><br>The low point came when, after a brief and entirely reasonable visit to discuss timings with the seller, I received a call from Bob lecturing me about the visit rather than helping resolve the underlying delays that had caused the frustration in the first place. The seller withdrew from the sale shortly afterwards, at which point I'd have expected a competent, professional agent to be working to keep the sale together rather than adding friction to an already stressed situation.<br><br>We had cash in hand and were ready to proceed quickly. The lack of proactive, professional handling from this agency made an already difficult process worse. Can't recommend

Spencer has been a very efficient, hard working and polite agent. He is also a great communicator and always seems to be in a good mood, in spite of the difficult circumstances in which we had to work. I would recommend him to anybody as an agent. It has been a pleasure to work with him.
