1st Oct 2026 (26 days ago)This was our first viewing with Fine and Country and to say they were a breath of fresh air is an understatement. Unlike other agents we've viewed with, we were able to visit the property without being rushed and with no pushy sales tactics. This left us feeling welcomed and valued as a potential customer. Every member of staff we've dealt with has been polite, courteous and gone out of their way to be helpful and answer any questions we have. The whole process even started on a positive note as the photos taken to advertise the property were actually representative of what was there. Most other agents seem to use odd lenses and angles to give an unrealistic view of a property leading to instant disappointment when you arrive. That's not the case here. This is what other agents should aspire to be, welcoming, informed and helpful. We really cannot recommend them highly enough. We've dealt with both Alison and Sally and would would like to thank them both for all they've done. Superb.

Simon was fantastic during valuation and photos however I only had 3 viewings in 3 months and didn’t receive a lot of communication unless I chased. I appreciate there was nothing much to update me on but the communication wasn’t great overall as would have been nice just to have some check ins
28th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)We had an extremely disappointing experience with Brown & Co Estate Agents during the end of our tenancy.<br><br>They tried to claim a substantial amount from my deposit for issues that were entirely unreasonable, including the removal of an item of furniture that actually belonged to the property owner, alleged missing lightbulbs, and professional cleaning charges for the entire property including carpets that were nearly 20 years old and beyond life expectancy. Many of the deductions appeared to be aimed at improving the property for the landlord to sell, rather than fairly addressing genuine tenant wear and tear. It was particularly concerning that some of the extra items and the amount of money being claimed were added to throughout the process. The claims presented before and during the DPS dispute process were not entirely consistent, which raised questions about the validity of some of the deductions being sought.<br><br>Throughout the dispute, Josh Bailey's communication was often awkward with no negotiation skills, and there was a clear attempt to pursue claims for betterment rather than what was fair and reasonable under tenancy deposit rules. Rather than acting as an impartial agent, it seemed there was a deliberate focus on maximising the return to the landlord.<br><br>We were also disappointed by his handling of a small area of mould around the faulty hob extractor fan, as the problem was not addressed fairly or appropriately.<br><br>Fortunately, the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) reviewed the evidence independently and saw through many of the claims being made. The adjudicator recognised that the property had not been professionally cleaned when we moved in and rejected a significant proportion of the deductions being sought from our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the experience left us with little confidence in Brown & Co's ability to deal fairly and objectively with tenants. My advice to anyone renting through this agency would be to take extensive photographs at check-in and check-out, keep detailed records of all communication, and not be afraid to challenge deposit deductions through the DPS if you believe they are unfair.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would not recommend Brown & Co Estate Agents.

29th Sep 2026 (28 days ago)After making an offer on a property, Attik encouraged us to put funds down for solicitors fees and affirmed that they had accepted our offer. After being left in the dark over a few days, they pull the rug from under us, with us wasting some money on solicitors fees.

Sam Callaghan was excellent, both when looking at the property and going through the process, very easy to communicate with and constantly helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend both Leaders and Sam.

James put me at ease from the start and guided me and my family through the whole process, I thought this was going to be difficult but James and the team made it very straight forward. I popped in just to see how things where going and was always made to feel more than welcome. What really impressed me that they didn't do a hard sell with constant follow up phone calls, it was a difficult time after mum's passing and James and his team was understanding and totally professional, can highly recommend

When viewing our property, Millie greeted us with professionalism but genuine interest in what we would like from the house. We had communicated throughout the purchase and no matter the question - big or small they were there to help. A big shout out to Clare Clarke for being amazing, always available if we needed her, very polite and helpful - nothing was ever a bother for her! I couldn’t recommend Starking & Watson enough!
25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)It has to be said that this delightful estate agent sets an industry standard that all other estate agents should aspire to! For around a year, and using one initial small agent then a national agent, I was endeavouring to sell my lovely home. Sadly their efforts were mediocre and the national agent was ridiculous - peppered with mistakes all through the six months I was with them. Then a friend persuaded me to consider Seftons as they had just sold two houses fairly quickly with them. How I wish I had used them first! The difference from day one was incredible and so refreshing. A wonderful, enthusiastic team, superb photography, outstanding marketing ( including the best floor plan I had seen) and a real understanding of pairing the right people with the property. After a few viewings I very quickly had a really good offer which I accepted. Now here’s where they outdid themselves. Due to problems at the bottom of the chain and many delays, Seftons were constantly following up and chasing on my behalf throughout the whole process. They were answering questions that my solicitors could not which was very reassuring. A huge thank you to the whole team with a special mention to Suzanne and Charlotte for their unwavering support. I cannot recommend Seftons highly enough. Absolutely brilliant. Fiona D

23rd Oct 2026 (4 days ago)They came across as very keen to sell the property. They were very quick to get our property on the market and a lot of properties in the area which may help. After we dropped the price they managed to get several viewings, but we had to chase for feedback and didn’t get very much information. A sale was agreed within several weeks which was great. When we received the initial lower offer, we felt somewhat pressured to accept it, but we insisted on pushing back and received a higher offer.- 9th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)Jennifer was amazing throughout the house viewing. She was friendly, approachable and extremely professional. She went above and beyond, and even though the property wasn’t quite what I was looking for, she took the time to call me back when she found another property that might be more suitable.<br><br>Jennifer and her team kept me informed and maintained excellent communication throughout, providing a genuinely high-quality service. Although I ultimately found a property elsewhere, I’m very grateful for Jennifer’s kindness, effort and professionalism. She is a real credit to the team, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

4th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Absolutely dreadful! Would give 0 stars if I could. When I first moved in, the state of the property was absolutely appalling, it was obvious that there hadn't been a professional clean (or even a cursory dusting of the skirting) before we moved in and the whole property stank of damp and the bins in front of the house had not been emptied and were overflowing with waste. The first thing I did upon moving in was spend 3 days cleaning the property myself. There were also issues with appliances like the stovetop and microwave not working.<br><br>After making Jones and Co aware of these issues, they said that they would send maintenance to fix the appliances as well as restore the parts of the walls that were completely overrun with mold. The appliances were never fixed and the wall was left unfinished for over a week.<br><br>Later on during the tenancy, waste left in the main pipes, connecting the building to the sewers, from the previous residents caused wastewater to back up into the house. As soon as I noticed this, I rang up only to be accused of blocking the drain ourselves. It took roughly 4 hours for them to send out a plumber to unblock the drain and we were left to clean the floor on our own.<br><br>The amount of sleep Ihave lost renting with Jones and Co is immeasurable and I doubt I would even consider to rent from them again, even if the only alternative was to sleep on the Dereham Road roundabout.
