We tested Connor Malcolm with a small sale which went very smoothly, being under offer within 4 days, then another small flat, again, being offer within 3 days this time. The process from marketing, to conyevancing has been first class. The key stand out is communication, from the buyer leads to the legal process, we were kept in the loop at all times and updated. I was a first time home owner and was quite unfamiliar with the process involved in buying a home. Connor Malcolm’s team walked me through the process with exceptional communication, reassurance, expertise and integrity. Scott and Lauren were friendly, swift and concise in completing the steps necessary in this process.
Other solicitors in Edinburgh I looked at for the job made me feel unimportant, like this sort of work for them was a chore and I felt any time a question arose I really it was really bothering them.
Conor Malcom‘s team were always a quick email or phone call away to clarify anything and keep the process moving. They provided transparency with the work that was being carried out and ensured deadlines were adhered to.

We have just moved home and we cannot rate Connor Malcolm highly enough.
Their customer service and professionalism puts the others to shame, simply superior in every way. Every single member of the team is warm, friendly, competent and helpful.
When selling, we were kept up to date continuously throughout, even receiving emails well late into the night from David, often within minutes of messaging him. It's like he never sleeps!
Rachel was absolutely top drawer too, she arranged an absolute army of viewings and was always a friendly voice to talk to throughout, her experience clear to see. Even when the house didn't appear to be selling at first, (feedback was that the rooms were too small) she was so reassuring and it really helped to keep us positive and to stay the course.
When we got to the legal stage of completion and were transferred to Scott, he was so well organised and professional, frequently updating us on every bit of the process along the way. Always friendly and charming, but razor sharp and focused, definitely not like the many others we have dealt with in the past. He pays attention to every word, notes every detail and delivers on everything he tells you he will do for you. An absolute pleasure to deal with.
Our sale and subsequent move went smoothly and it was such a relief not to have the additional burden of chasing up things on top of it all as we have had to be in the past!

This was our second house move and I can honestly say that this has been the best solicitor we've had! They had excellent communication throughout the process (including when we would next hear from them and that it would be all quiet in the meantime), which is the biggest pitfall we've had with other solicitors. We knew what all the key milestones were and when they'd happen.
As promised they always got in touch when they said they would and anytime we emailed or called them they picked-up straight away and never left us hanging around waiting for an answer.
It really made the whole process less stressful for us, so we could focus on all of the other stuff that comes with moving house.

It's quite hard to write a review that really encompasses my recent experience with Connor Malcolm Solicitors. We were recommended them by a mortgage advisor who advised me they were efficient and professional. They were this and much more in fact. I dealt with Scott and his team for our recent sale and purchase. Communication was excellent. I was never in any doubt that he was very much looking after our legal work. Things moved very fast as soon as we accepted their services. They advised us immediately what they needed. Extremely efficient. They were always on hand to answer any questions. If they were busy, they called back or emailed. They were obviously very prepared and just got things done. Nothing was too much trouble. They made sure that everything on our end was done quickly and professionally. It was so refreshing not to have to be chasing anyone. They were always a step ahead and it was very comforting to know this. They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do. And I can certainly vouch for that. However, there was no stress with Scott, his team and their legal work. This aspect of the house sale and purchase went like clockwork. From first meeting with David he made us feel so comfortable, that there was no question on which solicitors we were going to go with. First impressions really do matter. David was so friendly and communicated with us through the whole process and let us know our valuation so fast.
Once our house was put on the market we were being looked after by Erin. Who was just amazing, she kept us updated with any viewings or responses we had and helped us find a buyer so quick and get a fair price for our house.
Once we had an offer accepted we then moved onto the legal stage and dealt with Fiona and Scott. Fiona kept me updated and answered any questions I had and was happy to chase anything up for me. Fiona was happy to pick up the phone to discuss things rather than email so it was so efficient and got things done faster.

Charged me more than what they have quoted! surely they need to let me know before hand if the fee is different from what they have told me before??? Apparently they are expert of finding all sorts of excuses to increase the fee, and threatened not to allow me access to the property! Terrible dishonest company! I noticed the last two good reviews are done quickly after a negative review, clearly these are fake good reviews trying to cover a bad review, there will possibly be some good reviews after this one. Simply do not fall for this, find a decent solicitor to do the job for you, or you will deeply regret!

Absolutely a nightmare dealing with them, they made the whole purchasing process unnecessarily complicated due to their lack of knowledge and bad time management (you think solicitors know what they are doing? Not this company!). They have totally turned my excitement of buying a new home to an extremely stressful experience. I consulted a couple of other companies later on just to find out if it was suppose to be difficult like that, only to find out it was them not handling things properly. It is shocking how UNPROFESSIONAL they are yet they are practising!
