The Covid pandemic has not made it easy to sell our beautiful 17th century cottage with having to make many challenging decisions along the way! However, with Harry Sheppard's expert help, this challenge was made much easier: always supportive at the other end of the phone, he encouraged us through a couple of fallen-through sales! Our 62 viewings were expertly managed by three of Knight Frank representatives, Patti, Philippa & Sara, with wonderful communications left at all times. Savills is the management company of the Elms Parade car park and Westway Place Church Way - Botley, both parking lots managed by Smart Parking, company which has been frequently not fulfilling Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (POFA 2012) and still sending parking charge notice to customers of the Elms Parade shops. It's outrageous how a management company still allow such scam to happen in their managed premisses. Just look on Google and you can see how many people have been scammed by Smart Parking. I chose Boughtons over another mainly because of the all female staff, who had a more relaxed attitude. After an initial valuation which seemed, to me, a bit too high, they suggested a revision which then attracted viewings. We suffered a lag with the normal drop in viewings during the school break and then another drop as people waited for the budget. Despite this, Boughtons kept in touch and updated me throughout. The first meeting I had was with Catherine to introduce Savills of Banbury to me and to value the property, then everything was pasted over to Francesca Moss. Francesca was so efficient and helpful and very uplifting. We laughed a great deal which made the whole experience of selling and buying no where near as stressful as it can be.
