19th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)My husband and I bought a house through Charles David Casson a couple years back and they were the worst part of the process. Their communication was poor from start to finish. They recommended the worst solicitors, DO NOT go for the solicitor they recommend. They failed to adequately arrange viewings and made the process HELL. At several points I had to request their manager to intervene, who was equally useless. If you enjoy stress and headache, you can go for them. If the seller had not been so lovely and accommodating, we would not have got this sale over the line. We literally did all the work whilst they twiddled their thumbs and wasted our time. After the sale went through, they’ve been harassing me periodically to give a valuation of the house- in case I want to sell. Haunting me even to this day.

7th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)Highly recommend Taylors in Bicester. Lincoln in particular was always available to answer questions and gave great advice throughout the process of selling our late mother's house. Made a difficult time as stress free as it could be.

6th Aug 2025 (7 mo. ago)I have just completed on my new property bought through Barton Fleming in Bicester. From the start I was shown the property by Terry, and from there on in dealt mainly with Colin. I couldn't fault them. Any queries I had of which there were a few were sorted and dealt with. I feel I built up a good relationship with them and they went above and beyond to sort out any issues I had. I feel it was nice to work with a local independent company and to support local trade. 5 stars from me all round. Thank you Colin,Terry and your team. Many thanks

We needed to find somewhere and move in quickly, not only did she help us do this but she was thorough, friendly and efficient, nothing seemed too much trouble! 19th Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)We chose Cridlands because they are a smaller local estate agent who offered a very personal approach. We can only say ‘amazing’ from start to finish . A very smooth process and the whole staff work so hard to make it smooth . We felt that not only did they sell the house but they were totally approachable and able to answer any questions we had and offer various support through different processes . We would like to thank them for all their work, support and help. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to sell their property. If we ever sell again we wouldn’t hesistate to go with them again . Thank you .

I would like to take a moment to highly recommend an exceptional letting manager who truly goes above and beyond in her role who goes by the name Mary. From the very beginning, she demonstrated outstanding professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. Her communication was always clear, prompt, and reassuring, making the entire letting process smooth and stress-free. What truly sets her apart is her approachable and friendly manner. She builds genuine relationships while maintaining a high level of professionalism. It’s rare to find someone who combines competence, dedication, and warmth so effortlessly. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)Avocado have been a pleasure to deal with throughout. Their marketing was superb and customer service has been exceptional throughout. I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!

I found the Hunters team to be very knowledgeable, professional, patient and efficient. I cannot fault them as I received so much support; they dealt with issues promptly and kept me informed of progress, giving me confidence. Rachel and Phil also contributed hugely. Jon’s photos were very professional and the sales brochure was comprehensive in content. I recommend them highly.
13th Jun 2023 (2 years ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.

They advised on how to prepare our home for marketing and provided great advertising media. As the process flowed through to a successful sale they kept us informed and provided support and advice at every stage.

We had so many issues with selling my house with another agent, and we moved over to Breckon & Breckon and Maxine took us on, made the whole experience seamless, arranging new photos, listing the property with all of the attributes that had been forgotten and did us proud. She was so helpful and answered all our questions, quickly, and really helped to push the whole process along when we got the sale. She honestly was a godsend helping us with advice, and being so accommodating with everything we needed. We cannot thank her enough, we had a such a smooth sale and process, we would recommend Breckon & Breckon and Maxine in particular to anyone selling any property in the Bicester area!
