Had an amazing time yesterday celebrating my birthday, we where given 3 lovely tables to sit with my family....staff couldn't of been more helpful,making sure we had drinks all the time ,food was lovely ,highly recommended. Again thankyou to all especially Sophie for letting us celebrate, will definitely come back again

A lovely place to visit with plenty of outdoor space which has been very well accommodated by the land lady making sure tables are covered with gazebos. Staff are as helpful, fast and friendly as they can be under such difficult circumstances. Wish more people would stop being rude towards the already run off their feet staff. Lots of complaints about slow service but not once seen a member of staff standing around. Prices have gone up slightly but still very fair for the area and one of the cheapest locally.

Awful..bad attitude bar staff and no service! Sat 30 minutes and after asking twice still no service..cant blame business as everyone else had drinks etc..no excuse..Will not try again

Popped in for a couple of drinks the night before, good service and atmosphere. Just left, having experienced some of the nicest food going. Both beef and chicken dishes were 5 star, left just a bit bloated though.

Had seen a lot of change over the years and this time, it's working. The new owner is wonderful and helped with a wake of a much loved regular. The quiz nights are fun and the disco can be laugh. Great local

If you like kids running riot, riding up and down on scooters in the bar, mothers sat at the bar nursing their babies, parrots on the table eating food, large dogs constantly barking at the bar, terribly slow bar service. Kids sat at tables doing homework, then this is the place for you.

Recently undergone a management change and you can definitely see the difference already. Re introducing cask ales and also looking forward to the new menu in February.
With some hard work I believe the manager will get it back to being the place to be.

went on thursday with a friend both had the 7oz steak it was only 7.99 each and the food was great the best steak ive had in ages, well done to the chef, done to perfection and there was also plents of chips ect, left feeling full and glad i dropped in.
will be going again well done the team at the penny.:)
