We sold our house in Buckhurst Hill. Alter and Cope helped immensely throughout the process. They were extremely helpful with the initial valuation and we always got feedback from viewings. They were also on hand to accommodate us logistically for the viewings.
After we found the buyer they were always responsive and helpful to any questions we had. A sale can be stressful but they made our lives a lot easier with constant, helpful and responsive communication.

Talking to customers who want to viewing the house is very disrespectful and rude.
We want to make an appointment to view the house before deciding to buy, not that after seeing it we have to buy. I called and told them: I want to make an appointment to see the house and they immediately replied: Do you think you can buy it, can you afford to buy it, if not, then it will save both of our time.

We were recommended Alter & Cope by a friend, and from the very beginning, they have been a pleasure to work with Antony and Lee. Both are very hands-on and highly responsive. During our initial meeting, Antony clearly explained their plan and the steps involved, including how they handle screening and shortlisting tenants before arranging viewings, as well as managing post-tenancy matters. This made the whole process much less stressful and easier to manage. It was such a pleasant experience working with Lee and Antony. Throughout my tenancy, from the very beginning that started with apartment viewing till the end when I moved out of the place, they have been always helpful, efficient, and transparent about everything.
Here are what I like the most about working with them:
- Move-in date was flexible. Usually, landlords and agencies pick the 1st of a calendar month. However, for me I needed to move in asap back then so they were ok with making the tenancy start date not falling on the 1st.
- Maintenance issues around the house got fixed quickly and efficiently.
Moving across the ocean by myself and trying to find a place to stay in London wasn't necessarily a fun experience, but they have made it much easier and manageable for me, and I'm thankful for that. I totally recommend them and hope their business continues to flourish in the coming years.
