From start to finish, they provided a truly professional service and maintained a high level of support throughout what turned out to be a lengthy completion process.
James kept in touch with me regularly, always keeping me informed and reassured. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything progressed as smoothly as possible. James also recommended excellent solicitors and surveyors, which made a significant difference and helped ease the overall process.

I had recently made a purchase of a 2 bed flat in Gosport with the intention of letting out soon after the New Year. Bernards had been recommended by family and rightly so!
Really fair pricing for the great service received and hardly a delay throughout the entire process, from ID checks to key exchange.
I had the pleasure of being assisted by Jessica throughout the whole lettings procedure, who in essence kept everything moving, simplified and resolved any minor issues that did occur and really demonstrated a fantastic level of attentiveness towards myself as a relatively new landlord. I couldn't approve of the hard work and communication provided by Jessica and the team enough. As a result, I look forward to potentially working alongside the team again in the nearby future. After my tenant handed in their notice, I decided it was time to change management. I wanted something more personal than the big nationwide agents, who often felt like they were working against me rather than with me.
I went around five estate agents in Gosport, already knowing what their rates were, just to get a feel for the people. Bernard’s was the final stop, and when I met Jess Bishop, I knew straight away this was the right fit. She was sharp, knowledgeable, and said a few things that showed she really understood what I needed.

The Bernards team were great, very professional and kept me informed throughout, cannot fault. Jamie the broker was great, knowledgeable and always happy to help.
Donna who was new to post in particular was fantastic! With several issues with solicitors she kept me up to date in the last few weeks, responded to emails and calls almost immediately and was very friendly and approachable. Amazing job!
The recommend solicitors was the only down fall. Taylor Rose Solicitors lacked basic communication skills, spent weeks sitting on our case and then tried to fit weeks worth of work into a few days. We all have busy jobs but courtesy goes a long way. They never answer the phone and email responses were short, snappy with no substantial information.
Overall Bernards have been excellent just save your time and sanity and research solicitors before instructing.

Jess helped us every step of the way, from the online vetting process, where we definitely needed assistance, right to the end when we received the key to a flat. Nothing was too much trouble for her, emails, phone calls and any queries were dealt with promptly, and communication between Jess and Toby in Fareham was excellent. Jess helped so much always with a smile and a calm, professional manner. She's a star!

Superb experience with Bernards. James initially came and valued my property and was extremely professional and patient when explaining the procedure for what was my first ever time selling a home. The entire team in branch were incredibly friendly, chatty and helpful including Sarah happily printing a load of documents out when my partner popped in unannounced and asked for some assistance.
Bernards sold my property within 48 working hours of being live and this came from the diligent hard work and exceptional knowledge that they possess having recommended it to the eventual buyer before it had even been listed officially - huge thanks to Jess for that, as without her our entire plan could've fallen through. Given our circumstances this was particularly important to avoid and has enabled us to purchase the property we fell in love with despite fierce competition.
The aftercare has been superb with regular updates and emails - which has made the process genuinely enjoyable to this point. I also used their mortgage advisor Jamie Risk who has, frankly, outdone himself by achieving a borderline impossible deal for my partner and I purely by being stubborn and sticking to his guns with the lender.
I cannot recommend Bernards highly enough. During our viewings a number of the other estate agents in the area naturally wanted to throw their hat into the ring and get my property (given the location) on their books; the common theme was Bernards are new and will possibly not provide the best service as they don't possess the same knowledge as branches that have been established for some time.
Couldn't have been further wide of the mark.

Big shout out to Jessica Bishop of Bernard’s Estate Agent Gosport.
Jess was able to sort out a viewing of a rental property (with very short notice from myself), she was able to answer all my questions re my enquiry and was excellent in her time keeping (meet at the property), and was professional at all times, also with a sense of humour :)
