I would like to touch base on the Blackstones Residential and their overall level of service. As a foreigner coming to study in the UK, it is not easy for anyone in terms of finding a good property with reliable letting agents. I have been scammed many times by others letting agents who called themself ‘trustworthy and reliable’ and lived in unbearable conditions, but these things are quite common in london’s lettings market nowadays. But with Blackstones Residential, so far it’s safe for me to say that they have been really great overall and resolved any issues with good time manner, so I haven’t had any problems so far. They are also reliable and I completely trust them. They also reply to their e-mails swiftly. I will definitely recommend the company to some of my relatives and friends looking for a new apartment. If there will be something negative that is worth mentioning, I will update my review.... Read more

I can't forget the treatment we received over a year and a half ago when we rented a house with this agency for over two years. They accused us of damaging the wood material around the sink. How non-sense you have to be to make a sink with wood around. Which expands and shrinks because of the water and the temperature. They accused us of jumping on top of the sink like if we were 8 years old!! They scammed us taking money from the deposit, with such an arrogance that after two years I still can't forget. The worst part is that In all of this, as often happens, the one that rents has no power. The landlord has 120% power and control and the agency of course makes the interest of the landlord, always. Avoid at all costs. EDIT after the answer below: I would like to point out that I agreed to pay the costs because I needed the rest of the money asap to be used for the deposit of the following house, that is the only reason, but I really tried in any way possible to fix this injustice. But I repeat, the landlords have much more power, and the agency makes the interest of the landlords.... Read more

We rented a property a couple of months ago and so far the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During the viewing with Alex we were given time and space to look around and had our questions answered patiently and thoughtfully - we got the impression that the agency cares about the tenants' experience as well, which was in stark contrast to other agencies we had viewings with. Since signing of the contract and moving into the property, Salam has been responsive and helpful with sorting out many of the concerns we had regarding the general state of the flat e.g. getting the walls repainted and getting appliances fixed/replaced. We would therefore recommend Blackstones Residential as a letting agency.... Read more

I moved in a bank holiday which I understand can be annoying, but he attended the check in person, which I really appreciated. This review is about the frankly incompetent service we received from both Salam and Alex when trying to secure the property. Let's start with Alex. He has to be the laziest/incompetent estate agent I have ever met. He turned up 20 mins late for the viewing. whilst in the property he kept running outside to check on his car rather than actually show us around. After the viewing I asked that he send the paperwork asap so that we could start the process almost 24hrs and numerous phone calls and emails later I still hadn't received anything it wasn't until late on the next day that I received the email (Saturday 3:32pm). Now on to Salam, initially I thought he was innocent in all this but in actuality he's just as bad as Alex. They had both claimed we had first rights to refusal then emailed me back (after I had sent through my details) to say that someone else had placed an offer and that we never had the right to first refusal. Well thankfully it's 2021 and I can screenshot emails (attached to this review). He then tried to claim that they close at 2pm on a Saturday even though Alex sent me his email at 3:32pm. additional online they're opening time state that they are open until 8pm (again I've provided a screenshot). All in all I'm glad that we didn't get the property as I'm sure having these two as our estate agents would have been far worse. Honestly steer clear. Even if the property looks amazing it's not worth it having to put up with these two.... Read more

While the initial part of the letting was dealt in a semi- professional manner (quick process but dirty flat on our arrival). After we moved in, they completely forgot about us - they were not responsive at all and never helped us resolve any issue we had with the landlord (who was not responsive either). 2 months prior to the end of the tenancy we asked to renew our contract, and nobody replied until a month before the end of the tenancy. When the landlord replied, he said we could only renew our contract if we paid more, plus he told us that because there was only one month left until the end of the tenancy, we HAD to stay one more month paying the new price (although we had a FIXED TERM contract) and that this was not negotiable. He threatened us he would have kept the whole deposit in case we would have left on the final day of the tenancy. Not only Blackstones Residential didn’t help us at all, but they also started advertising the flat again which means they don’t select their landlords at all. We ended up in a dispute which of course we won. Would not recommend this agency at all.... Read more
