This is my 3rd purchase of a new build and by far the most appalling quality of any developer I have experienced. The sales team were great and could not had been more helpful. The site managers were also very helpful and pleasant. However this does not make up for the extremely shoddy build quality. There is one adult and one child living in a 4 bed house, so less than designed for use of the property. During the 6 months we have lived here, we have experienced the following: kitchen cupboard doors have fallen off at least once a month. This is allegedly a kitchen “upgrade” yet the wood is broken inside where the hinges are fitted. The same residents have resided in several other houses without incident. There was no pipe-work fitted at all to the dishwasher - someone had removed it causing a large leak when moving in. The plumbing under the sink was the incorrect size pipework causing a leak and a strong smell. The thermostat was broken within 2 weeks of use. The toilet leaks causing damage to the ceiling below. The kitchen Amtico flooring is lifting. The carpet has worn away completely at the door strip. The ‘chrome’ work is in fact plastic, with no warranty unlike the other developers we have bought from, and is apparently meant to be cleaned after every use using no cleaning products - bear in mind this is a hard water high limescale area. As this is not normal anticipated use for any human, it is now damaged. The gate was broken. The patio slabs came up when you stood on them. There are holes in the door frame where unnecessary screws were left in. The spotlight surrounds were installed broken and held on with paint to act as a glue, which invariably fell off. When told I would not be selecting the golden ‘yes’ box for “would I purchase from Bloor again”, one of the directors turned up unannounced at the door to get me to change my mind. Perhaps if they concentrated their time on building better houses, then they wouldn't need to employ bullying tactics to encourage you to give a dishonest response. There were 2 shelves missing in the oven, another item which had been taken out from the “last house left”, a tactic admitted by a site manager that they would take things out to meet other customers needs, but because I didnt notify them initially being as I didnt know they were meant to be there, then they wouldn’t supply any. There were of course many more snags, which we do expect but this is above and beyond. Customer care make poor excuses. They are now building phase 4 - strongly recommend purchasing a property elsewhere in Banbury and not from Bloor.... Read more

Really well laid out development with a lot of green areas and walking routes nearby. Roads are finished promptly after moving in and doesn't feel like a building site even though work is continuing on Phase 3. Jenny in the sales office was incredibly kind and went out of her way to help answer some queries I had, even though I'd purchased a shared ownership home (and therefore hadn't buying through her directly). Only slight issue is the quality of the materials/specification of the internal finishes on my shared ownership home, though this is an issue with Sanctuary Housing, not Bloor Homes.... Read more

Post-sale, the pleasant experience of enjoying the neatly trimmed grass, a favorite site for family play and grand social gatherings, has ceased. The management of this green space has been transferred to another company. Consequently, unless your house is strategically positioned next to view homes or offices, your chances of savoring the beautiful vistas are reduced. The new situation underscores the changes that can come along with real estate transactions, altering the ambiance and aesthetics that residents once took for granted. Best newbuild developer I came across. Highest quality standards, amazing decorating finish. Sales team did everything they could to help out and make the whole process as easy as possible. Site managers also helped with the process and gave very useful tips. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dream home!... Read more

Exciting experience so far. we have been looking into getting a property with another developer in Banbury, although the sales advisers were okay and upfront but not to our satisfaction until a friend recommended Bloor homes at Banbury Rise. I walked into their office without appointment on my way from the other developer and the way i was received by Jenny changed everything. She gave me a quick overview of everything and promised to send more information and by the time i got home, the email was already waiting for me. Jenny and her team gave regular update even when there was no show room available. We were able to view and reserve our preferred property when one became available. I will recommend Bloor homes Banbury Rise to everyone at a heart beat. We are eagerly waiting for the day that our keys will be handed over to us and the awaited move in. Thank you Jenny and Laura for such exceptional customer service, your patience and attention to details is next to none.... Read more

We are buying a house at Banbury Rise and have been so impressed by the help, support and friendliness of the team - as well as the build quality of the houses. Jenny has gone out of her way to answer all of our queries, to keep us in touch with the build stage of the house and to make us feel as though we are highly valued customers and people. I can't thank her enough for everything she has done. Buying a house is an enormous purchase and she has been there all the way while we ask questions, make decisions and go through our options. Bloor Banbury development - Jenny!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! Not often I go and post reviews but this time it is different, and I must share my experience. Back in December my wife and I, we decided that it is time to purchase our first home. We have visited many sites and sales offices across Oxfordshire in pursuit for our dream home. And I must admit our search was not great and we started to get a bit reluctant due to level of service previously received until we called Bloor Homes Banbury. We have called the office and thankfully Jenny answered the phone. I could feel that warm and inviting energy over the phone and Jenny booked us in for an appointment same day. Meeting Jenny has changed our house search journey remarkably. We have been shown few houses, but something was missing until we been told about Astley. Unfortunately, Astley was not available as show home at Banbury Raise so we drove to Southampton and that was it, we have found our dream and forever home. House was stunning. I was made aware that some homes will be eventually build and released at Banbury Rise and again Jenny has kept me up to date, she called me even where there was no news just to give me that reassurance that she does remember about us and how important this house is for us. Luckily, last week we had the call we were waiting for. We managed to secure our first home. When we returned from reservation appointment we are blown away and excited by the level of attention we had. Jenny was very courteous, and she took her time going step by step and answering all our questions. House search, mortgage is incredibly stressful and personal matter for us, and we are glad that we found someone that took this also very personal and gave us time and guidance we needed. Jenny thank you for making it happen and being so kind and helpful. You are a credit to Bloor Homes, and we cannot thank you enough for your help, guidance and service. Now we are at the end and looking forward to house completion date. We also wanted to say BIG thank you to Karen Fesemeyer from Bloor Homes Witney.
