I sold my house with Bolton Properties this year, from the start they were fantastic. Chris has great knowledge of the local area and gave an accurate and realistic valuation so the house was under offer within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately my first buyer fell through but the whole team did everything they could to get another buyer in less than 2 weeks so I was able to keep my onward purchase. They're very easy to contact and always available for questions/updates making the whole sale process much less stressful than it could be. 100% recommended

Avoid them if you can! They are not at all transparent in communication and are good at wasting your time. We made an offer on a property through them last time and they never communicated back if our offer was accepted or declined, later we found (not through them) that property was sold to someone else on a lower price. Recently again we liked a property unfortunately advertised by them and we were very open and honest from begining that we have to sell our property and if acceptable we will put an offer to their property and they asked what is our offer and we made an offer. After prolonged delays, lack of responding to our emails, they finally sent us an email accepting our offer and in the meanwhile we marketed our property and were getting offers on our property, got credit checks done, obtained agreement in priciple etc. We advised them that we are getting offers on our property already but havnt yet accepted any as the viewings are ongoing in case we get even better offer however to get the ball rolling, we asked them if we are ok to get a survey done on their property and they said yes to it. We then paid almost £700 to get a survey done and when our surveyors called them to book an appointment, they again failed to communicate clearly and avoided to book the survey. Now today we were advised that owners of the property we were interested in are going ahead with someone else!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY AND CREDIT CHECKS!
If they would have sought clear instructions from vendors from begining and kept us informed at every stage openly and honestly, we would have not wasted our time with them.

Appalling phone staff.
I reached out to this agent as a first time buyer and was rudely shouted down to by the lady on the other side (Alison Bentley?). I haven’t purchased a property before, nor do I work in this industry, so I wasn’t familiar with a property “search”. I asked for clarification and the agent suddenly became very agitated, and extremely patronising, and proceeded to shout whilst she repeated what she had said already.
I haven’t had this before, as other estate agents are usually very helpful in supporting me through this process as a first time buyer, but unfortunately this hasn’t been my experience here.

Wasted my daughters time and money. She decided to purchase a property through this agency. Vendor was slow from the very beginning and Agency worker admitted that there were issues with documents that were submitted very late. 2 weeks ago agency contacted us that the vendor is going on holiday for few weeks and would like to speed up the process- which we did and submitted all documents next day- yet there was no response from the vendor or the agency when my daughter asked to see the property before exchanging contracts. NOW we received call from Chris saying that the vendor withdrawn coz she is moving back to the property ? The property she never lived in coz it was a rented property? The vendor probably went on holiday and couldn't be bothered to finish the process and Chris lied to us that the reason was completely different. We still have to pay for all work done by our solicitors and could avoid it if they would let us know that vendor have very limited time to close the transaction. I do not recommend this agency to anyone. They will lie to you. Please don't waste your time and money with them !

After having several visits from local and national estate agents with wild variations on value and little to no area or market knowledge, people stating they 'think' the property will sell. Chris and his team were the only ones that gave us the confidence that they could not only sell our property, but could also get the price that we wanted. We had a few personal interests that we needed to resolve, and Bolton properties was patient and gave us the time we needed. Hence to say, when we decided to get aggressive with the sale the house was sold within a week, even in the current financial times. The conveyancing solicitor that works with Bolton Properties as part of the sale agreement were also first class, completing within 6 weeks. Well what can I say... The office staff were really helpful and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble all the way through they were excellent.
Chris was fantastic, he was professional and down to earth. He was very direct and to the point, and was patient in explaining the process as it was the first time I had ever sold a property.
Chris was clear and not pushy in the slightest. He was able to give me several options and the information to come to my own conclusion.It was clear he had my best interests and that of the buyer in mind.
Well Chris got me an offer within a day, that I was 100 percent happy with, I know the market was good but less than 24 hours! A man of his word, I would 100 percent recommend Bolton properties.

I asked him to sell a property in terrible condition, even the rats had packed up and vacated.
Chris worked his magic, wrote an amazing advert for the house.
He listed it at 4pm, by friday morning we had 10 viewings and 8 offers on the table, majority above asking price!

I've used Bolton Properties on 2 occasions to sell my homes.
Chris and the team at Bolton Properties sold both properties within a 2 weeks of coming onto the market.
Ultimately I believe that this is down to them making sure the house is ' market ready' by giving advice on what we should be doing to sell our home and secondly their marketing of the property.
The staff are fantastic, professional and kept us abreast throughout the sale, making the selling of our houses a breeze( as ultimately it can be very stressful).
What I did like was the fact that they are very reasonably priced and they are honest and realistic with the sale.
I cannot thank you all enough.

Buyers and sellers BEWARE!!! This estate agency employs dishonest agents who lie and don’t even have the shame to admit it later!!! To me it looks like they have deals with investors/landlords/ friends/family members/etc. and they successfully block viewings and potential offers from the public so they sell properties to the above mentioned people and probably get their fair share from it. I would never sell my house through them and I feel sorry for the vendor who has just lost the chance to get a better price for their house. Really, I should have contacted the Property Ombudsman and other relevant trading agencies and ask them to look into it. Shame on you Bolton Properties.

Brilliant Estate Agents they worked hard to sell our house and put it on the market for more than any other had.
We got more for the house than any other estate agent wanted to advertise it for. They took more pictures than any other and were always at the end of the phone if I needed to ask a question.
Nothing was too much trouble I can not praise them enough. If you are looking to sell your house these are the people to use.
