Everyone Ive spoken with at the Ash Vale branch is very friendly and helpful.
We had the pleasure of dealing with Hugo for the duration of our house purchase and he has gone above and beyond to help us move it along
He kept us up to date throughout the whole sale (our solicitors were not great).
Hugo has been so knowledgable, helpful, professional and friendly, helping to problem solve and always ready to immediately jump on a task I ask him to do, and then checking back with me once he has the information needed.

Selling my parents’ home was an emotional process for our family and we’re grateful to Hugo, Gary, Hayden, Jim and Ella for making it a positive experience. The entire team was friendly and collaborative from the get go. We never had to chase for information as they would always keep us updated and respond to any and every query straight away. When the first sale fell through due to the buyer losing their buyer, their reaction was immediate and a second sale was secured very quickly. It genuinely felt like nothing was too much trouble - even on the day of completion, Hugo kindly offered to do the final meter readings for us as we weren’t able to travel to the property. We’ve gone through several estate agents over the years but Bourne’s professionalism really stood out. Gary was amazing. As we were a chain, he really advocated for us through a difficult case and went above and beyond for us. We were buyers in this instance (selling my own property which had its own difficulties) but Gary negotiated on our behalf. He was thorough, friendly, showed initiative and was always happy to help. We had an awful experience with the estate agents through which I was selling my property so Gary definitely helped keep the chain together and was so refreshing to have someone else chase rather than you having to prompt to chase. Gary also accommodated additonal viewings and allowed worksmen visit the property with sellers consent. He was professional and personable and we couldnt fault our contact with him.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Gary and Hugo have been incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, always prompt with their replies and quick to answer any questions we had.
Gary, in particular, has been fantastic, offering layout ideas during our second viewing that created more usable space, and proactively chasing solicitors on both sides to keep everything moving forward.
As a first-time buyer, the whole process can be overwhelming, but the team genuinely made it so much easier and far less stressful.

Disappointing Experience – Not on the Seller’s Side
My experience with this estate agency was extremely frustrating and left me feeling unsupported as a seller. Throughout the process, it felt as though they were far more interested in keeping the buyer happy than representing my interests. Any time an issue or disagreement arose, they seemed to side with the buyer just to make sure the sale went through, rather than standing up for the person who was actually paying them to sell the property.
Another major concern was their fixed-fee structure. Because their fee doesn’t change regardless of the final sale price, there was absolutely no incentive for them to push for the best possible offer. Instead of negotiating strongly or trying to maximise the price, they were quick to encourage acceptance of any offer that came in. It felt like their priority was simply closing the deal, not achieving the best outcome for me.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone looking for motivated, seller-focused representation. My impression was that their approach prioritised convenience over effort and buyers over sellers.

Although we didn't end up buying the property, we found Hugo to be extremely helpful, informative and in general great to deal with. We would be happy consider using Bourne in the future or recommend them to others based on our experience.

Bourne Ash Vale and the agents all worked extremely hard to find a buyer for my home. Unfortunately after being on market for around 16/17 weeks no buyer was found. My decision to place my property with another agent was not an easy one after all their hard work. But happy to say my house is now under offer with new agent and the sale seems to be going through smoothly and I hope to complete in September.
But would still recommend Bourne as they did arrange a lot of viewings.

Love Bourne. Originally, as property managers, they really impressed me with their professionalism and handling. So much so, that when it came to the sale, it was a no brainer to use them again. Everything went really well and without any of the stereotypical Estate Agent BS we sadly see so often in this business.

Haydon was very good at keeping me informed and advising me. Had an offer almost immediately unfortunately the chain fell through but a few weeks later it’s under offer again.
The only reason they lost a star for value for money is I think all estate agents are expensive and should do more of a fixed price rather than a percentage.

He was very professional, whilst explaining things in simple terms to us. I cannot speak highly enough about Steve Darling, who represented our buyers in a very complex chain. When we were struggling to get responses from our own estate agents and solicitors, Steve personally kept us informed and where necessary put pressure on other elements of the chain when our own representatives were showing o sense of urgency. Obviously Steve had no responsibility to us, yet was the only one who empathised with the stress unnecessary delays were causing to all parties and went above and beyond to ensure appropriate action was taken.
