Dauntons are brilliant property managers - I am easy to please after an appalling 2 years with a management company who refused to carry out any work at all but moving to dauntons was the best thing I’ve done. They are quick to help with any issues and require minimal input from building owners and tenants and I think their prices are competitive. I truly don’t have a bad word to say about them.... 28/05/21: Do not walk away....RUN!! As a building, we absolutely cannot recommend this company to manage a building. We have a small 5 story Victorian conversion building in Pimlico that Daunton Soar "mAnaGes". We have been with this managing agent for a long 3 years now. We would have already replaced them, but Covid has prevented us from meeting to have an AGM. Daunton Soar is very expensive and have additional charges for every tiny bit of work they do. The nominal amount that they quote a building can easily be doubled or tripled by the end of the year because they charge for nearly everything. And on top of it, they do all of their additional charges poorly and take forever. Essentially, they are an excuse factory. They only make excuses about why they cannot do something and why you are the person preventing them from doing their job. NO VALUE ADD. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Update: 01/07/21: So, based on my review above, Daunton Soars has resigned as our building management company. They have threatened to make is very difficult to move to another company because they will tell another company about how difficult we were. LOL!! Just to show how vindictive and unprofessional this company is, without consultation of the directors, they unilaterally significantly raised the sinking fund for all shareholders in their last demand notices before leaving as our management company. Who appointed them directors? Who gave them this permission? They are completely confused as to what their role is. This company is as unprofessional as I have ever seen. I absolutely stand by the recommendation: DO NOT USE unless you really want to pay over the odds for the most basic services and be treated very poorly. You don't need a company which you employ to perform basic management services to treat you so bad. Atlanta Moya published a 5 star review on 26/06/21. I would be very curious if she were providing a truly independent view because her comments were absolutely NOT our experience.... Read more

I would highly recommend Dauntons as a tenant. The negotiator my flatmate and I dealt with, Eden, was really helpful at every point and answered all our questions quickly and comprehensively- since my flatmate and I were first time renters this was very reassuring. I have stayed in a flat that Dauntons manage for 2 years; overall it was ok with the agency BUT only once bad incident marked my memory. While we did not receive one single notification out of nowhere some workers started installing scaffolding in the entire building that our flat is in. We only found out later after calling the agency that there was going to be works carried out for the period of 4(!) months. Luckily it was the period that we were moving out, but not only they did not request our consent for the works that needed to be carried out(as the law requires) one particular employee had the nerve to not agree that they had to notify us for these works. It is this behavior that forces me to leave a bad review. Other than the above incident, everything else was alright, the deposit was received on time and any maintenance to be carried out was done in a timely manner.... Read more
