On renting the accommodation, Initially a good Service. thorough inventory. After leaving property earlier than expected, Only 4 months into a six month contract, which was paid upfront, communication was poor, and more than half my deposit was kept. Shocking.

Avoid renting with at all costs unless you’re happy to lose your deposit. I have never been in contact to ensure I was happy with the rental but very happy to provide a long list of reasons why I won’t get the deposit back!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Renting through Davies White & Perry (DWP) has been an absolute nightmare. They are dishonest, unresponsive, and negligent, especially when it comes to repairs and tenant safety.
Ignored serious safety concerns: Despite multiple inspections and complaints, they neglect to act on clear evidence of dangerous structural issues and severe mold problems. They dismiss tenant concerns outright and contradict their own contractors. Only doing basic repairs begrudgingly when the council become involved.
Intimidation tactics: If you dare to raise issues, be prepared for gaslighting, false accusations, and outright hostility from their staff.
Illegal and unethical behavior: Workers and staff have let themselves into the property without permission, violating tenants' privacy and legal rights.
False promises and neglect: They’ll tell you repairs are coming at inspections, then vanish. Even after years of inspections, written complaints and council involvement they will refuse and refute the need for repairs to life threatening problems or just out right ignore your requests.
DWP does not care about their tenants—only about collecting rent while doing the bare minimum. If you're considering renting through them, DON’T. Save yourself the stress, the frustration, and the risk.

This time last week (Sunday) the central heating boiler completely failed on one of the coldest days so far in this area.
Thinking that it would be days and days before any repairs could be undertaken, with no alternative form of heat, I contacted Davies White and Perry.
Under 24 hours we had heating and the following day the boiler was fully serviced and repaired.

The sale of my Uncles Property completed recently and I can only commend Michelle and the team at Davis White and Perry for the professional manner in which it was conducted .
The process was conducted with minimal intervention by myself as Michelle arranged and accompanied all viewings and a site visit from the surveyor .
I was informed of every development and given advice from valuation to completion and received excellent service from a local company with expert knowledge of the locality and market .

I initially contacted Michelle at DWP as we were looking for a ground floor flat or Bungalow for my Mom as she had recently suffered a stroke. Michelle valued Moms property and worked her diary around us so we could view a property as well as value Moms house.
Whilst we did not place the house on the market after Michelle’s initial visit as Mom wasn’t able to get home at that point we had no hesitation contacting Michelle again when we did want to sell the property.
Michelle revisited and updated her valuation as we had carried out work on the house and we had a buyer within a few weeks of the house going on the market.
Michelle was professional, courteous and knowledgeable and always kept us updated throughout the process.

I viewed a house in Newport and advised them that we needed to be out of our property by the 9th of December which they assured me that was fine it turns out the house isn't available until the 20th of December I spent £40 on taxis for no reason

I have always found both Caroline and Erika to be extremely efficient, knowledgeable and supportive whilst arranging the letting of my property, providing me with frequent updates and all the necessary documents for the inventory, deposit and references. The office staff too are always friendly and helpful.

I have been using DWP for over 10 years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. I have bought, sold and rented houses with them and at every stage the service has always been excellent.
Sophie, Caroline and all the team always go above and beyond to help, and at times when I have been particularly busy with my own work and things I am meant to have done have slipped, they always come to the rescue.
A truly professional outfit, brilliant communication, and always liaise with me in a friendly manner. I look forward to many more years of dealings with them.

Davies White & Perry were the first port of call to value my fathers property when he passed in 2023. They were courteous, sensitive and understanding and gave a fair valuation of the property. Probate was a long drawn out process and the sale took a year to complete. At no point did I feel rushed and they were understanding of the difficulties we experienced with Estate affairs and legal systems.
The property in question was situated some distance from the two offices yet the team were willing to travel, keep an eye on the place and show potential purchasers around on our behalf. This took away the worry of an empty property, and the need for me to travel backwards and forwards with many other issues to address.
The market changed during that period but the team at Davies White and Perry were also on the case with new valuations and advising on upgrading of one or two features that may increase 'kerb' appeal on Right Move.
Thank you TEAM for helping us through this sad time of events.

I don't understand the good reviews. They are the worst estate agent i have ever used. If you are thinking of renting a place i'd strongly suggest not to. Let themselves in without permission, Upon handing in my notice they were showing people around without my consent. I literally can't think of any good points. Avoid.

Currently renting through DWP and have been for over a year now. They're really helpful and easy to get hold of. Whenever we've had a problem they've been around straight away to sort it out. They even installed new carpets and redecorated before we moved in, highly recommend.

I am unable to recommend DWP, at least if you are renting your place. They did spend time trying, but they failed badly. Caroline cannot sell, at least in my case. She did find a couple of candidates who then fell through. The next estate agent I tried mentioned a few problems, fixed them and got the job done in 2 weeks flat, all done over the phone. Two stars - for effort.

All members of staff really care about the customer journey and go out of their way to help. I am the Sales Manager and follow the company ethos of going the extra mile. I have had two experiences with this company the first was as someone moving out of a property they were putting on there books. I was there for ten years I paid to turn into a three bed I put equstrian facilities in and she told me I paid too little for the property. She was rude and arrogant. The next I enquired about a property they had it took a week for them to answer. I honestly can't understand why they are still in business.

Never in my entire life have I experienced the displeasure that I did when I spoke to Caroline Cross from davies white and perry! Her astonishing lack of customer service and appalling lack of care for anyones feelings disgusts me. She talks over you, undermines you, patronises and verbally insults you and your intelligence until she gets her own way-regardless of anyone's efforts. She will speak down to you and treat you like dirt regardless of how polite you are back to her and I will be highlighting this to Davies, White and Perry's head office as this vile attitude to their clients should not be condoned. She is a liability to your business and an all round rude woman
