Run from this letting agency as far as you can. I have been letting shared accommodation for over decade but this letting agency is the worst and discriminatory with no interest in tenants. Their solution for sorting out problems is to get rid of tenants. They do not care at all.

Disappointing experience… generally ok through tenancy… always polite and friendly but only an average response to rectifications of issues. End of tenancy charges unreasonable. So be cautious with your reports and records of what you’ve done to leave the property in the same condition as you’ll definitely need it!!! I thought if I queried anything then my whole deposit would be withheld but I think it’s actually just the disputed amount… so please make sure you dispute… don’t let them take what they don’t deserve!

We had a viewing on Saturday with Davis and Lund , turned up 10 minutes early we waited at least 25 minutes the estate agent did not turn up . I rang them only to be fobbed off with some untruths saying they were in the property the blinds were open . No they were not , the blinds were shut and would they not have stepped outside like we got out of the car to see if there was anyone there . Poor practise and if I was the person selling the house I would be fuming as it could have resulted in a lost sale .

Perfect. I live 180 miles away from Ripon and found Paul and the Davis Lund team were not only willing to do everything for me but also to a high standard.
They have also forged a seamless relationship with Knight Richardson Solicitors meaning nothing is missed and all is done at an impressive pace.
This is the sixth property I've bought and sold but the first with Davis Lund and won't bother calling anyone else, the best thing is both buyer and seller were left informed and happy.

Initial valuation and listing was done by Chris who was friendly, supportive and approachable and produced a great listing including a 3D online tour of impressive quality.
Once we got an offer Beth took over and was amazing through the rest of the process. She was attentive, kept up good communication and was always on hand to help us through the process, including saving us from missing our completion date when she flagged that milestones were being missed, which we wouldn't have realised until much later.
I would definitely recommend Davis Lund and specifically Beth.

A realistic valuation by Chris Davis and lots of viewings meant that we secured a buyer quickly. Sam, who was managing our sale, worked hard on our behalf and went the extra mile. She was cheerful and supportive throughout a protracted and difficult move which was caused by problems further down the chain and was not in any way the fault of Davis Lund.

Will definitely recommend using Davis Lund for buying and selling your home. They were professional and prompt when coming to look round the property, and the brochure they produced was excellent, however not needed as they managed to sell our property within 24 hours - very impressed. When it came to buying Paul knew what we wanted in the price range, and again managed to find us our perfect property. 100% recommend. We haven't eaten here since March , but prior to that , we always found the food, the service, the atmosphere and the setting first class.
We did however recently enjoy a coffee and cake in the garden. a nice setting and a pleasant experience.

Rushed viewing and no response to further enquiries. Almost as though let had been agreed and going through the motions for others viewing. Even a brief email to say unsuccessful but we we will keep you in mind for future lets would have been absolutely fine, but even that brief courtesy was beyond them.

I booked an appointment with Mr Davis for valuations on my home which itself took almost a week but when he did come he said he'd get the figures I needed to me but just needed to check on some details.
Unlike other agents who produced figures within 24 hours, Mr Davis did not resulting in my chasing him before a meeting with architects.
He replied he was too busy but said he would let me know asap. Over a week later I chased him by email but he failed to reply and I am still waiting.
Avoid this agent as they seem incapable of handling the workload.

Davis and Lund, an estate agent that you can trust! After using another local agent in the area and receiving a poor service I switched to them to sell my home. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They don't follow the Code of Practice for Residential Estate Agents. By law they have to confirm all offers to both buyers and vendors, in writing, and within two working days. They do not do this - and they admit they don't! A buyer has no idea how they represent their offer to a vendor. Find another agent who adheres to the code and don't use this business.

I had a property to sell in Ripon, I spent a few days and had a total of 5 different local estate agents value my property. Each of the estate agents had their own strengths and weakness but I ultimately opted for Davis and Lund due to the following reasons . 1. Davis and Lund opt for premium listings to give maximum exposure,. 2. The agent that visited the house did not talk negatively of other agents. 3. The agent that visited knew the area so well that he did not even need to measure the inside of the house- (everyone else was dashing around with their lasers). 4. Davis and Lund appear to be dominating the sales in the area. 5. The agent did not talk a 'hard sell' and was easy to communicate with.
I ultimately chose Davis and Lund on a Saturday evening, therefore they did not have the property keys until Monday morning. I took the advice of the agent to ask for £170k (this was the very most I should expect for my property and I was certainly NOT under selling it). I received a call from Davis and Lund on the same Monday at 11:00 hours to say that an offer had been received on the property for the asking price!.....in cash!....no chain! They hadn't even put up the sign or advertised on Rightmove!
In short....this was a highly satisfying sale, with not one single issue....I completed two days ago.
If you are selling in the area - don't waste your time trawling through the others...take the premium service and use Davis and Lund, I could not have possibly done better or be any happier.
