Emery & Orchard were the estate agent for our sellers when we purchased our house - specifically Jemima Webster. Due to us (unfortunately) working with a terrible solicitor, the purchase became extremely fraught and very nearly fell apart a number of times. Thankfully we managed to get the purchase over the line through no small part thanks to Jemima. We honestly don’t think it would have happened were it not for Jemima’s proactiveness in keeping it together and pushing things along. She really went so far above and beyond. Been our agents for purchasing a house, very supportive, excellent communication, regularly gone above and beyond to ensure exchange happened within the timeframe needed and advocated for both parties involved appropriately. Jemima gave us two really helpful viewings, that felt relaxed and unpressured while giving us solid advice that didn't feel overly sales orientated. Chose E&O because of their longevity in the town and hoped they would be reliable, trustworthy, independent etc The service was OK for the money but nothing special tbh. We had to do most of the chasing and one of the partners had written an important phone number down wrong, which resulted in some delay. I get the impression that good houses in Godalming more or less sell themselves so they didn't really need to make too much effort for their 10%. No after sales follow-up or request for feedback either, a shame as this is how to make improvements if necessary. Wouldn't bother with them again although the lady answering the phone was quite pleasant.... Read more

I was a first time buyer and had asked to look at a property we had booked in and then 2 days later I phoned up to confirm and then the women said we have had an offer but was waiting for the seller to accept so I said I can do tonight if this would work and we where very interested in the property we Waited and waited and then I phoned and they said the vendor had accepted they didn't let us know and we had a viewing booked in and when I said I was very interested they said it had sold we will keep you on the books I was put of as I was a first time buyer and this is how you get treated stay well away I went to Seymours Godalming and they have been great from start to finish....
