I can’t recommend Jo, Kate and the team at GH highly enough. We had been searching a whole for our dream home and booked to view one being sold by Gascoigne Halman Poynton. The lady who showed us round (sorry can't remember her name) was a breath of fresh air compared to so many viewing agents. She was welcoming friendly and professional.
We knew after we left that we had found our dream house.
We offered and it was accepted. We then had the drama that comes with selling a house in our buyers pulling out. Gascoigne were great in liaising with our sellers and ourselves to allow us to find a new buyer. This wasn't a quick sale but they were super calm professional and tentative to us.

Our house sold before even making it to the website initially, then after an unfortunate collapse of that sale, it was re-advertised and sold again within just a matter of days due to the great advertising of the property and contacts the team in Poynton have.

Avoid Gascoigne Hallman Poynton and Jigsaw Surveyors
We strongly advise against using Jigsaw Surveyors. Due to their poor wording and lack of clarity in their Grade 3 report, we lost the opportunity to purchase 114 Dale House Fold, Poynton. Lucy Weddel’s report, particularly regarding movement and subsidence, was vague and failed to provide clear conclusions.
When we raised concerns and requested a senior surveyor to reassess, John Daniels revisited the property. However, his professionalism was lacking—he considered a voicemail sufficient communication for such an important matter. His response came a full week after we had already withdrawn from the purchase. Given that buying a home is one of the most significant financial decisions, we expected clear, written confirmation that there were no underlying structural issues—but this never happened.
To make matters worse, Jigsaw Surveyors were referred to us by Gascoigne Halman in Poynton. Katie at Gascoigne Halman later admitted they had failed to follow proper procedures, including direct discussions with us. Their failure ultimately cost us the home, while they sold it to another buyer—likely at a higher price to maximize their commission.
The financial and emotional toll has been immense. We relocated from Leeds to Poynton for this specific house and incurred substantial costs in surveys, solicitor fees, moving expenses, storage, and temporary rentals. We have now submitted formal complaints to RICS and the Property Ombudsman, as their combined negligence has caused significant financial losses.
Additionally, it is deeply concerning that Jigsaw Surveyors allegedly shared information about our report with Gascoigne Halman and third parties—an apparent breach of data protection regulations that raises serious ethical questions.
We urge anyone considering Jigsaw Surveyors to stay clear. Their reports lack the necessary clarity and reassurance, and their relationship with Gascoigne Halman appears to prioritize their own interests over their clients. Unfortunately, even the vendors failed to act with integrity. However, karma has a way of setting things right, and we will be pursuing reimbursement for all our incurred costs.
Avoid Jigsaw Surveyors and do not count on Gascoigne Halman for professional support and follow procedures at such a critical purchase.

We dealt mostly with Jo and Lucy and both were always so enthusiastic and helpful, they were also great with the kids when we brought them for their first viewing which could have gone either way! I honestly couldn't fault them and would definitely use them again... however they have found us our forever home so hopefully that won't be necessary!!

Jo, Owen and Nicole recently marketed and successfully supported us in the sale of a family property. The service they provided was nothing short of 1st class (professional yet friendly) and much exceeded our expectations. They demonstrated excellent local knowledge and clearly had lots of experience of selling properties in Poynton. They offered us lots of sound advice and were always willing to share their time throughout the process. This included supporting us with some queries and advice after the sale, which went above and beyond their obligations. Communication throughout the process was always appropriate and their marketing and promotion of the property was spot on. I recently purchased a house from Gascoigne Halman and have to say If I had known then what I know now I would have also marketed my property with them. It took us 8 months to complete a sale and purchase for a chain which on paper should have been the simplest thing in the world. We had the most terrible experience with our conveyancing team who were diabolical. The only shining light in the shambles of those 8 months was Owen at Gascoigne Halman Poynton. He went above and beyond for us and was relentless in his pursuit of getting information fed back to us that was near impossible from our paid conveyancing team and for this I am truly grateful. Needless to say I haven't got any plans for moving house again in the foreseeable but if I did Own would be my first port of call.
