We rented the flat through them for a few months. It was a short period, but they were very helpful and kind to us. They provided us with some furniture, even though it was advertised as unfurnished, and also offered professional cleaning. The people we interacted with were always friendly and professional over the phone. We never had any issues, only a good impression.

Awful agents, No professionalism , rude and arrogant. Renting his house for long time. No repairs or maintenance done ever. Totally useless, we are just stuck with them.

Seriously the most disgusting, rude and incompetent company I have encountered. When we moved in the house had NOT been cleaned and there was a mouldy shower curtain they refused to replace and hung up on us when we asked them to do so. There was also a used needle and syringe in the dartboard. We cleaned the property extensively and they tried to charge us £450 out of our deposit for ‘cleaning’ which they obviously had not done when we moved in and was not necessary after our move out. The manager has full on shouted at us and hung up on us when we have brought up issues in the house which they refused to fix/ replace. After trying to get our deposit back for a month I feel that we wore them down finally so we hopefully will get it back soon- but not without threats and verbal abuse from the staff

NOT GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL! DON'T EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!
The agent wasn't available most of the times we needed him. The house was never cleaned properly before we moved in. The garden was supposed to be maintained by the agency, but never was. The landlord was planning random renovations whilst we were in there. In the end we were charged for cleaning and maintenance of the house after we've paid professional cleaners to restore it to the original state! Stay away!

In this way, I want to point out that having arrived in the UK in this beautiful city of Leamington I had the chance to apply to rent a house, I was honestly expecting to find an agency where I could get all sorts of obstacles! I did NOT have the great pleasure to apply to this agency GOLDEN KEY, where we found professional, dedicated and open people for every client who calls for their services. I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Raj, who can say that he is a true professional. I highly recommend the services of this agency. Here you will find: quality - dedication and professionalism!

Extremely disappointed with them and won't be using them again. Arranged a viewing, we turned up a few minutes before the agreed time. Whilst waiting we were lied to multiple times about who was on their way to show us the house. After 25 minutes of waiting, eventually got a text saying the builder should have been there to let us in, but he left early. Their office was only 10 minutes from the house! Awful customer service.

Read through all comments as half of these are FAKE !!!
We used golden key whilst at uni and they were TERRIBLE. They never relied to emails or called us back when promising too. Issues with the house took extremely long to fix !!! Very very very bad service and horrible to deal with.
A nightmare to deal with on admin side. took them very long to do everything. Our house wasn’t even cleaned for the first day of our contract so we had to delay moving in.
Deposit: they took a extremely long time to give us our deposit back - after the new tenants had moved in!! They tried to rip us off by charging us for things we didn’t even do. Worst of all: they didn’t even protect our deposit and when I asked them for our deposit certificate they made up an excuse which was a lie as I checked our deposit with all protection schemes in the uk.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE HOUSE OR PRICE IS.

Avoid at all costs. Good reviews posted here are fake spam accounts. Awful agency if you are a tenant - emails and phone calls not responded to. No details of deposit protection scheme given despite multiple requests - will take a very long time to get deposit back, that is if you get it back at all.

Awful. Do not go near them. They never answer emails or phone calls. The house was disgusting when we moved in mould everywhere. Furniture broken and bed ripped and covered in I don’t know what.
They didn’t provide help when the boiler broke in the middle of winter. We were told by the plumber that it was unsafe. Didn’t think a kitchen table or chest of drawers were essential furniture and would not provide.
As soon as student accommodation was mentioned their attitude changed. If I could give no stars I would. Please be ware

***IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AVOID AT ALL COSTS***
This sham of an 'agency' rented a property to myself and 2 children that was an absolute death trap! Live wire showing in the bathroom, a shower where you could not turn the temperature down. Mould, windows that seriously leaked. Bed bugs!!!! When I insisted a gas safety check was carried out, the engineer told me not to use the cooker as it had been fitted with plastic piping & could blow up at any time!!!!!

Don't carry out repairs that they are obligated to do. We have had a broken boiler and broken oven for nearly two years, to name a couple of things wrong, and keep getting told that they will fix it but make no actual effort to sort out the problem. As a shared household, we have agreed to pay bills to the agency but they don't send the money to the supplier so we are currently receiving letters threatening with baillifs and having services cut off. Despite countless complaints, even when they go directly to the director, nothing has changed. This agency just wants to take your money and give you nothing back.

If I could give zero stars for this agency I would. Myself and flatmates rented one of their properties a couple of years ago. House was infested with bugs throughout the year, both agency and landlord were unhelpful in solving the problem. Very overpriced for quality of house. Shoddy carpeting and very poor insulation which meant we had to leave the heating on all day in order to keep warm. Agency was so rude, they did not even inform us when prospective tenants were going to come to house to view the property. This meant we had people showing up to the house at very inappropriate times. One of the students that had come to view the property told us that Golden Key had told them to "go the property whenever they wanted to" which I found incredibly inappropriate. All in all, an awful experience and a terrible agency. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Really pleased with this agency. My property had been listed with another regional agency for 2 months and they had only managed to get 1 viewing. Within 2 weeks of listing with Golden Key I’d had 3 viewings and one of them decided to take it. Process was efficient and smooth. Tenants are now in and settled. Would recommend to anyone.

I rented through this agent my previous address. The house was the cheapest in my area.
They were very professional and solved MAJOR problems we had with the landlord.
I am currently renting from private landlord without agent and I have none to solve the problems (fridge is broken and he doesn't want to replace it, he turns up INSIDE the house whenever he feels like it...)
This agency is professional and they are definitively worth the money.

An appalling estate agent, rented me a flat that had a broken washing machine, oven and shower even though they advertised the flat had these things, also mould all over the place and moth infested. I mean what type of estate agent would allow a property in such a state to be on the market? The customer service is also terrible, they are slow to reply and half of the time they never even bother replying to a query. They also owe me money, said they'd pay me back and its been about 2 weeks now and they haven't even bothered. Extremely dissatisfied and annoyed.

Honestly, just avoid. If you read all of those bunch of fake comments just think it's in purpose to get the agency reputation higher and, consequently, cheat on future tenants. If you want to live peaceful and at least happy don't consider Golden Key Letting agency. Despite costs could be good, behind this there are many reasons: no customer service, issues don't get fixed, agency don't reply to your requests.

It's a relief to have found an agent that offers a highly professional service and at a very competitive rate. Golden Key pay the rent on time every month and send me an email confirmation. Myself and group of 4 postgraduate students recently rented through Golden Key in Leamington Spa, and have to say that the whole experience from beginning to end was the best we have had so far.
They are extremely quick in responding to any maintenance issues we had throughout the whole 12 months and usually had problems on the same day as reporting them. Highly recommended agency

Could not be more inept. Frequently ignore calls and emails, fail to carry out inventory or repairs in a timely manner. Repairs done 6 months late, and to an extremely poor standard. Were unable to contact them regarding deposit, and had to deal direct with the landlords through the tenancy. Both landlord and tenants extremely dissatisfied. Rip off - avoid at all costs.
