This agent appears to trade on former sales, his techniques are dated, he does not use social media. He takes the photos himself, when they are specialists are available at reasonable costs. He made an error when placing my home on Rightmove which meant that the property was not visible when the correct filters were applied. All in all - if this was a school report - could do much better.

They sold me a flat with non working broken boiler water tank and after I purchased i tried to contact them and they never ever responded
They are unprofessional + Made a failty sell with no right information and didnt even tried to sort thing between the seller
They sold it , when i found out boiler is not working , they are gone with no email respons

Experience was excellent, such a professional and courteous agent. Dealt directly with Grant on the sale of the property owned by my younger brother in chafford Hundred, Sewell close. We had several valuations from other agents and to be brutally honest the others we met with were only focused on a quick sale and undervalued his property and made us feel awkward. Grant was the exact opposite.. He valued the property spot on to complete the sale early 2021 and was on hand to meet and showcase the property. His dedication to providing a professional and friendly informative outlook on local area amenities, schools and community really shows an understanding of the local market and helps close a sale. Thank you so much for your time, your support and kindness during lockdown and all its challenges for us all. Wouldn't go to any other agent in the area to sell my next property.

Do not buy a house with this agent. Grant wasted our time and made us lose our ideal home. He told us that our offer had been accepted but left the house on the market while our mortgage application had already been processed. Another buyer came forward with an offer 2 weeks after we had our offer accepted, he then told us we weren’t allowed to buy the house anymore and that’s when he finally took the house off the market. He only took the house off the market when another buyer came forward. Now we’re stuck looking for properties all over again despite searching for months and months for our ideal home. Throughout the whole process he would take days to call us back and when he did call us, he was so rude however we were patient because we really wanted that house. We’re absolutely gutted to have been treated this way despite being in a more than suitable position to buy the property.

Grant was recommended to us from a friend who also sold with him and I have nothing but good things to say about him. We had a few estate agents in for valuations as as soon as he walked in we felt comfortable with grant, he told us where our property was in comparison to others and price range it would sit at which we was very happy with. Grant sold our property in the first few days it was up and I would get constant updates on how it was progressing and when we had pressure put on us within the chain grant dealt with it all asking us to trust him in which all worked out very well.

Grant took on my property valuing the property at approx £25k more than another local estate agent, and within weeks secured a buyer, at a price of £20k more than the other estate agent suggested it was worth. Grant is extremely knowledgeable and will always research on your property giving you honest feedback on what he believes your property is worth. The sale of my property has not been plain sailing due to difficult solicitors, however Grant has took most of this stress & pain away from me and dealt with it. He is always on call and will deal with anything that you throw at him, even on his day off when out with his family. Nothing is too much for Grant and he has your best interest at heart. If Grant says he will do something or call you back, I can guarantee he is true to his word. I don't think you will get that with most other estate agents. Throughout this gruelling 4 months, Grant has been an absolute gem. I have used Grant Allen before, and I would definitely use Grant Allen again. I would 100% recommend Grant Allen Estate Agent to anyone. Just imagine if I went with the other agent I would have sold at a loss of £20k. Thank you Grant for your dedication and commitment to the sale of my property.

Despite being based in Grays he even drove to Corringham to deliver the keys.

Direct in his approach and always honest Grant Allen is a respectable, honest agency which isn't sales driven, rather making sure that you get then right house. Grant was also great in helping push things along with the solicitors and his recommendations and contacts for both our mortgage and solicitor where spot on! The area has a lot of salesmen trying to sell you the dream, Grant is certainly not one these! He was realistic in expectations which helped us understand where the market was at. Grant Allen and his team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and great support from the viewing of the property through to the completion of the purchase of our newly built property from them. We moved in December 2018. Grant was fantastic and his customer relation is second to none and unrivalled. He answered every single phone call we made to him even though some were odd hours. He is highly experienced and knowledgeable in the property industry and he gives excellent advice. Even when the conveyancer I took from Halifax panel did not know her job and was causing unnecessary delay which frustrated us, Grant stepped in and advised me not to change the conveyancer. My husband and I recently purchased a new build home through Grant Allen Estate Agents. Initially we had planned to use one of the popular developers, however we came across the small development online and decided to have a look out of curiosity. Grant himself did the viewing and the first thing we noticed was his excellent customer service. He was extremely polite, relatable, knowledgeable and generally a people person. We viewed two different 3 bedroom house styles and fell in love with one of them straight away. Grant was very informative and answered all of our questions in detail. By the time we reached home we had decided that we were going to buy the house we fell in love with. We called Grant back the next morning and arranged another viewing for later that day. Even with the short notice and a busy schedule, he was able to fit us in.
Moving forward Grant and his team were so helpful and professional throughout the entire process. He also put us in touch with a mortgage broker who helped us secure a mortgage with excellent rates. Grant went above and beyond, allowing us to have multiple viewings during the buying process, ensuring the solicitors on their end were doing their part, and communicated all updates to us.
We had initially said we would not be able to move in until towards the end of November, however towards the end of October we realised we would be able to move in earlier. Grant liaised with the relevant parties on his end and ensured that everything was complete in order for us to move in around the beginning of November. Even after moving in Grant has contacted us on a number of occasions to make sure we are settled in and that there are no concerns.
As first time buyers, the entire buying process can be quite terrifying and leave you feeling anxious but Grant Estate Agents made us feel looked after and positive about the process. Plus we were able to spend Christmas in our beautiful new home with our little one. Thanks to Grant Allen Estate Agents we have become homeowners earlier than we had anticipated.
We would highly recommend Grant Allen Estate Agents to anyone buying a home. We will definitely be using their services again when we sell in the future.

The valuation we received was in line with what we hoped to achieve and a sale was agreed within two weeks of the property going onto the market. We had an excellent experience with Grant Allen who helped us with our purchase and in renting out our existing property. Grant promptly answered the many questions we had and was very professional throughout yet supportive. He accommodated our many requests including asking the seller numerous questions and arranging for the many inspections and viewings. Grant Allen have been great as letting agents too, passing on correspondence promptly, answering questions and providing regular inspection reports. Grant Allen was fantastic! The whole process of buying a house was like walking into a shop and picking our desired house (which we literally did). I would extremely recommend Grant Allen for first time buyers, simply because of the wealth of experience they've had with help to buy.
I picked the house I wanted, Grant recommended a mortgage lender and solicitors which they normally use for first time buy and all I had to do was supply documents when requested. The process of putting my deposit down and moving into the property (which was still being built when the deposit was paid) took exactly 2 days short of 3 months! which was the estimate I was given anyway. He chased the mortgage lenders and solicitors when required and in some cases even chased me to supply documents.
Unfortunately this is my first experience of buying a house and I don't have anything to be critical about in my experience, as I have no point of comparison, but in comparison to what people said, it was a breeze and i'd do it all again. Having said that I think he exaggerated the distance to the local station, but i'm reaching for something to be critical about, as I could've checked myself and he's a salesman after all.
In summary, I have absolutely no regret, we're loving our new home and a big thanks to Grant Allen, Penmanns Solicitors and Trevor the mortgage advisor! We're all extremely grateful.

Recently bought a house through grant Allen and they was excellent. Once we moved into our property we discovered some rubbish and been left in the loft and sheds.after one quick call to grant he arranged to have it removed the following morning. He even refunded me money from a previous clearance that I paid for myself. Would highly recommend

We had our property on sale with another agent, who completely let us down, so contacted Grant Allen as the new property we was moving to was also through Grant Allen. Grant came over and took pictures of our property and went though in detail about the process of selling our property which our previous agent didn’t do. Grant kept us up to date regularly and managed to re-sell our property within a few weeks of being on sale again. For someone who works in customer service myself, I would highly recommend Grant Allen to anyone looking to buy or sell a property, very informative, professional and make our experience a lot less stressful.

Grant handled the sale of our previous property and the purchase of our new one simultaneously, making the transition between selling and buying a house a seamless process. He managed to get us a buyer within days! We found him to be very helpful and accomodating, attentive and quick to respond to any queries that we had. On the occasions he didn't have an answer he got back to us within a swift timeframe, either himself or via his staff. We were able to view our property on multiple occassions without issue after booking a time with him. Overall we'd recommend Grant for his friendly and professional service and we'd definitely use his services again in the future.

Very bad experience purchasing our property. Had a rude experience with Mr Allen when we asked to view the property one more time and he was really pushy with the sale too.
During the purchasing time the guy rarely contacted either side, even when we ask him the same simple question about the property a million times his response was the same, ' I'll find out, let me get back to you', then disappears for a month. In the end the whole process was 4 times longer than he promised. We spent soo much extra money on rent due to his ,' I'm going to get it done soon', responses, we had to kept moving from temporary accommodations, which costs much more than market rent price because it's always short term. In the end we were moving from air b&b to air b&b when both of us are in busy full time professions. I don't think this is what you want to experience when you are trying to purchase or sell your property.
