Called to arrange a viewing of a property but experienced an instant change of tone when I told the agent I was in England. She said she *could* speak to the vendors about me viewing but showed extreme biased toward me quoting ‘the English system’ and made it clear I wasn’t welcome in dealings. Avoid this agent of like myself you want to relocate to Scotland from England as they just don’t want to entertain you. She left me in tears.

This was the second time we have used Sinead to sell our house and once again the service was excellent. We weren’t too sure about putting the house up for sale in November but Sinead clearly explained the benefits and possible disadvantages. Sinead was sure our house would sell and we fully trusted her advice. One week later our house was sold with three offers on the table. Sinead arranged all the viewings and was in attendance with the surveyor for the home report which was invaluable because she identified an error in the report. Sinead was our first and only choice and will be again should we sell. If you are looking for a polite, friendly and professional person with an eye for detail then please give Sinead a call. You will not be disappointed.

We used Hometown Estate Agents to both sell our own property and buy a new one as she was recommended by a friend. She was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. She's not just an estate agent who wants to sell you a house, she really cares about doing an amazing job and finding the house thats right for you and your needs. She was a really lovely, polite person and it never felt like she was trying to push us into buying a house that wasn't for us. She kept us informed throughout the whole process and took a massive amount of stress away. She was always available to help with any questions and helped chase solicitors when it came down to the wire. I would definitely use Sinead again. She donates £50 from every house sale to Steps to Hope which is a local charity. When we got the keys for our property she gave us a welcome pack, complete with keyrings, candles and vouchers for furniture and anything else you might need. Now we are settled in a home that is perfect for us. Thank you Sinead, I wouldn't use any other estate agent. If I could give you 10 stars I would! ??????????

We cannot recommend Hometown enough. When we first met with Sinead to go over the property valuation and process she was brilliant. There was no trying to pull the wool over our eyes or giving us unrealistic figures and advice, she was authentic and honest and we could tell how passionate she was about her business and selling the property. I can't recommend Hometown Estate Agents enough, Sinead is a star! She was patient with me and made sure everything was perfect for marketing which resulted in a sale in less than a week. I can’t speak highly enough of Alanna and Alba Property, so highly I created this account purely to review them. They sold a house on our estate quickly which was how we found them, and we felt the no sale no fee was very fair. From Alanna’s first visit to our house we loved her and knew immediately that we wanted to go with her to sell our home. She knew we were in a rush as we had an offer accepted subject to sale and in this market that can be very stressful, from first visit to going live was 6 days I believe, which we were so impressed with. Alanna recently sold our property for us. We were selling for the first time and explored a few other companies alongside Alba. Alanna made me feel instantly at ease & made it feel relaxed without the typical sales pressure.
She explained everything well, and the entire journey was flawless and a breeze. Alanna was professional but friendly throughout and was always on hand for any questions we had and we were never made to feel silly. Alanna is great at what she does and she is such a lovely person too - added bonus! Where do I start. Having never had the experience of selling a home before. We asked 4 estate agents to come view our home. Sinead for Alba Property sized up the whole house explaining everything in detail. Organizing home report and photos and viewings. Today our sold sign went up! Our home actually sold within 24 hrs of going on the market to a lovely family ???? I hope they have lots of happy memories here as we have had over 28 yrs. Sinead from Alba Property has been great to work with so far. Our house was under offer in about a week from the day it went on the market, even though I never felt pressured by her to accept any given offer.
We were sold from the initial presentation, as she took plenty of time to explain all the different elements of the process in detail. We found her explanations to be significantly more detailed than others we spoke to before.
The best part was that all Sinead sold us, was true. It all went as promised, from timelines, to scheduling appointments, organising the photos (which ended up great by the way), etc.

I have just completed the sale of my property in Broxburn with Alba Property acting as my Sales Agent - and the professionalism of Alba’s procedural process combined with a wholly successful sales outcome causes me to irrefutably rate Alba Property as a Highly Recommended Property Sales Agent!!
In these terms my immediate point of contact was Alba’s Sales Associate Sinead Wood-McManus, and a key factor for me was that, although selling a property is inherently a stressful experience for the seller, Sinead was able to bring a calming influence with her plainly-worded professional advice, and which included her very helpfully communicating as needed on an ongoing basis, 7 days per week.
At the procedural level Alba’s Property Schedule as published on their website was of the highest order – with the final form taking on board some property features which I personally suggested as specifically noteworthy to Sinead – and the Schedule gained an immediate response from interested parties, with viewings taking place within a few days of the Schedule being released to the public domain.
AND, with Sinead acting as guide for the initial viewings, there was immediate success, with a sale being very quickly concluded fully to my satisfaction within a matter of days after the Property Schedule had been released on the Alba Property website – and which resulted in a sale price being achieved which was a positively acceptable margin above the advertised Offers Over amount!!
So overall a wholly satisfactory property sales experience from my own perspective as seller, and one which wholly and deservedly warrants my HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating for Alba Property as a Property Sales Agent!!

Don't use this company.
Inept!
Viewed a property they were selling. Expressed our interest by the usual legal means, and awaited their communication stating a closing date. I fully expected to make an offer in excess of 25% over the asking price, due to missing other similar properties recently. The agent never bothered contacting us, or our solicitor, to say another offer had been made, as is the norm. I only hope, for the sake of their client, the offer was comfortably in excess of 103k! If not, I feel they should be suing Alba.
