Extremely unprofessional experience with agent Alan Shields. We had a viewing booked for the 8th, but the agent, Alan Shields, moved it to the 13th because he was on holiday. We accepted this without any issue. On the 13th he informed us that he was travelling to Aberdeen and would contact us later that day to arrange a new viewing time. He never contacted us — we waited the entire day. Later we found out that the flat was already marked as under offer. At no point did he inform us that the property status had changed, even though he knew we were waiting for the rescheduled viewing. On the 14th, around lunchtime, I sent him a message asking for an update. He replied that he would call me “soon”, but he never called at all. We later learned that an offer was made on the 14th. This means we never even had the chance to view the property because the agent failed to keep his commitments and completely failed to communicate. He doesn’t even know how much we would have offered — because he never gave us the opportunity to view the flat or express our interest properly. I can’t believe how some adults behave like children—ignoring responsibilities, making excuses, and causing unnecessary problems. It’s frustrating to see such immaturity and lack of professionalism from someone who should know better. We rearranged our schedules twice and were genuinely interested in the property, but we were never given the opportunity to make an offer. This behaviour is unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on the agency. I would not recommend them based on this experience.... Read more

Amanda’s expertise in market and professional approach resulted in quick sell in 7 days to cash buyer and above the home report price. We felt confident and well informed every step of the way. Amanda took the viewings over the weekend when the most of the buyers are available but unfortunately other estate agents are simply off. She recommended to us holistic and independent finance advisor and also awesome solicitors who are real professionals and also available for advice after normal office hours. Was totally taken back how easy it was to sell my flat, was told it is one of the most stressful things to do, but after contacting Kenny from Housespotters, I had nothing to do Kenny took over putting me at ease and sold my flat with in two weeks, well over asking price. I've booked a viewing and received a confirmation of this not long afterwards. We drove 30 miles to view this property, arriving 4 minutes before the appointment (2nd January 11.00 am). Knocked on the door, heard a dog barking inside. No one let us in, no agent has showed up, so I called the office a few minutes later to ask what's happening. After 25 minutes waiting in front of the property, we decided to leave. It was a total waste of time. Would've appreciated a phone call, at least, if the appointment was cancelled or something. Also, we have not received the home report, thinking that this agency works in a different way and may send it after the viewing. Anyway, it was a bad experience from a buyer's perspective.... From our first contact to the sale of our property, which incidentally took only a couple of weeks, Amanda and her team made everything so easy and pleasant, always available at the other end of a phone call, and if not call back swiftly.
