My family and I have been dealing with Hugh F Shaw for property rentals, sales and purchases for over 30 years and across three generations.
Personally, I am now entering my second year renting a lovely one-bedroom flat near Baker Street, thanks to Mr. Irvine, Marc, and the team at Hugh F Shaw. As a tenant, I could not have asked for a more seamless experience. From paperwork to the occasional maintenance issues, all matters are sorted immediately and with the utmost attention, going above and beyond what is expected.
Professionalism aside, what makes the team at Hugh F Shaw unique is their level of care, and their welcoming and friendly attitude. Each individual is highly personable and they have constantly displayed a genuine care for my wellbeing throughout my stay, which is a true rarity for property agents overall.
I would recommend Hugh F Shaw to anyone, as our experiences with them have been great so far, and will undoubtedly continue to be so in the future.

I cannot recommend them enough. Marc and the team have been nothing but helpful during my year-long stay in one of their managed properties.
Their high-touch services and care for their clients sets them apart, especially when compared to other larger and perhaps more widely known estate agents... For instance, I remember having a serious issue with an appliance one Friday late evening and after contacting him, Marc got back to me within a matter of minutes and helped me sort the situation out. They have also been efficient and timely in mediating between the landlord and me, ensuring I received the best service possible.
I have referred multiple friends and colleagues to Hugh F Shaw, as they are trustworthy and competent professionals.

I have been very fortunate to meet Irvine and Marc at Hugh F Shaw initially as a tenant, where they have been professional, and responsive to deal with any problem related to the properties (multiple) that I have lived in over the years.
Recently, I purchased a flat through them and my experience has been equally excellent as well. They managed the paperwork and the seller very efficiently. As a team everyone at Hugh F Shaw is knowledgable, friendly and very professional.

I and my family had very comfortable days in London, thanks to Hugh F Shaw. We were from Japan and it was our first time to live in the UK. They took care of us and our flat very well. Without their kind support, we couldn't find such a good flat, and couldn't have such comfortable days. Every time we were in trouble on the flat, they helped us kindly and quickly. Thank you very much. If we have next chance to live in this area in the future, we will use HFS again.

Our multi-year home lease through Hugh F. Shaw & Co was a very pleasant experience. Agents were available 24/7 to assist with whatever challenges arose. From unserviceable lifts to emergency maintenance during evenings, weekends and holidays, they were always available and took swift action to resolve whatever issue arose. Their genuine personal service included follow-up calls to ensure all issues were resolved to satisfaction. During the pandemic, they went far above and beyond what anyone could possibly expect of an Estate Agency and valued our wellbeing as if we were part of their family. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Mr. Irvine, Marc and their team were incredibly kind to us. Helped us throughout the 2y we lived in London and it made a huge impact in our experience/stay. They are straightforward when needed, but also very reasonable in dealing with day-to-day matters, for instance: We had an issue with the carpet and mattress of our bedroom. Mr. Irvine himself went to see and evaluate it, spoke to the landlord, and changed both free of charge. Simple gestures that make the entire difference. We could write a dozen more like these here. We are very glad to have met and done business with them.

This professional Father and Son company has the personal quality, which makes such a valuable difference when your in trusting your home, property, investement in their capable hands. I had a flat they rented out for me which I went unto sell with them. Both renting and selling they were generous and sincere with there time and advice. Both Marc and Ivrine have a personable disposition and a wealth of knowledge with the sincerity to deliver. I would recommend this estate agent without any doubt. When I came to London, my friend told me that parking attendants and estate agents are the most terrible people in the UK. Then I met Irvine and Mark from Hugh F Shaw and can say now that there are some exceptions from this rule. They helped me not only to rent a flat but become first friends in the new city. I knew that I could ask them any questions at any time. Their recommendations helped me a lot. So guys, if you need a flat, use their services, because they are the best in London: a small agency but with a strong reputation. I am really grateful to this agency because they hospitably greeted and made my life easier in the UK. When I come to London, their office is in the "must visit" list, because it's s a pleasure to meet old friends. I wish them all the best.

I could honestly not recommend this agency highly enough. They are not only incredibly honest, frank and communicative but also always very patient, helpful and understanding. I cannot recommend this agency highly enough. They are not only unusually straightforward, frank and communicative but also effective. They have managed a rental flat for my family for decades and recently succeeded in selling my mother's house where, in an uncertain market, much larger and better known agencies had failed. They quietly take care of business without fuss or tooting their own horn the way so many estate agents do - and yet they are more experienced and informed than most.
