I had the pleasure of meeting Will from the Barnstaple office when deciding to move back to Devon from Norfolk. From the start of viewing the property through to exchange Will was extremely professional yet calm and friendly through a horrendous chain issue. These issues were out of my control but appreciate expectations from developers can be a different story. I wish I could give more stars the staff at Jackson-Stops from start to finish are outstanding , they have gone above and beyond to help me purchase my dream home. Sadly I lost it once thanks to my chain breaking but thanks to James and Will and all their hard work and fighting my corner I am now the proud owner. They are great in keeping you informed with everything , nothing is to much trouble and don’t keep you waiting when you need more information. Very helpful and professional but also super friendly, even got calls from them to congratulate me on my exchange of contract. I haven’t even met Will yet but he is a real credit to this company and absolute pleasure to be able call a upon, a brilliant young man.I can’t thank them enough for everything and would highly recommend this company to everyone selling or purchasing a property.

He passed onto me a list of architects, one of whom is now assisting me with the best way to tackle the issue of creating parking. There was no gain for James to visit to him so I am very grateful.

Both experiences were extremely positive and when difficulties occurred (as they generally do in this process), we felt James and Ria were totally committed to the right outcome and very supportive. Besides always contacting you when they say they’re going to (a small thing perhaps, but it’s by no means always the case), always being professional and an absolute delight to deal with, the crux is, we trusted them, their judgement and experience. Tireless Help & Support from the Barnstaple Branch.
We cannot speak too highly of the help, support and encouragement we received from James Carroll and his wife Ria at Jackson-Stops, Barnstaple. They fully understood the significance to us of the move we were making, and never made light of it. And they gave us assistance and advice with our purchase (which was not through Jackson-Stops) as well as our sale.
They were so completely professional in their work for us, but also friendly and supportive, pushing and battling for us, or asking a pointed question, or making a diplomatic phone call, at just the right moments. And when the going got tough, there was no-one else I would have wanted watching our back.
We have made a life-changing move, very much for the better, and James and Ria played a very significant role in making that happen.

We have never worked with such a professional, efficient and caring team. Their recommended photographer was exceptional, and they worked with us to produce a really beautiful brochure, presenting our home at its absolute best, resulting in 125 enquiries, and several offers, which they helped us to decide upon, resulting in progression to a successful sale, despite a very long wait for our buyers. When things got a bit tricky in the lead up to exchange, Ria was right there easing things along with the legal teams and the other estate agents in the chain, whilst communicating fully with us and our buyers. Jackson-Stops North Devon are the best in the business.

I recently purchased a property through Jackson-Stops, both Ria and James were incredibly professional, helpful, diligent and relaxed throughout the whole process. I can't rate Jackson-Stops Barnstaple enough. From the initial visit through to the completion, James & Ria were so professional (something that is often lost in these times). Our sale was of a non-standard property and I was worried that we would waste a lot of time but they vetted viewings perfectly. Their communication of viewings, offers, negotiations and the progressing of the legal side was outstanding. We sold "the village in a village" within 3 weeks and completion within a further 15, with Covid-19 and stamp duty pressures adding to the process. This is the first property sale I've ever had (and there have been a few!) where I actually believed the estate agents were working on my behalf.

After a frustrating year with another local agent we had had few viewings and little obvious support and enthusiasm from the agent. As a result we decided to transfer to the newly opened Barnstaple branch of Jackson Stops & Staff.
From the start the service provided by James Carroll and the team at Jackson Stops and Staff was superb and continued at that level throughout the long and at times frustrating process of selling our home.
His initial advice on pricing the property was realistic and the marketing effort better targeted than before, giving rise to a steady stream of enquiries and viewings from potential purchasers, all of whom were followed up diligently by the team.
James was very happy to accompany each viewing and spent considerable time on each viewing extolling the virtues of the house to potential purchasers.
In spite of having two sets of purchasers drop out just before we were due to exchange contracts James remained enthusiastic about the prospects of a sale.
Thankfully, our third attempt at a sale went through smoothly in no small part due to the work that James put in with the solicitors and surveyors to ensure there were last minute problems.
My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending the service provided by James Carroll and the team at Jackson Stops and Staffs to anyone considering selling their property in North Devon.
