We would highly recommend this agent having received good and impartial advice on the sale of two properties. Communication was excellent at all times and problems arising were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Property deals can be stressful but stress was kept to a minimum with sensible dialogue between all parties at all times. We would not hesitate to use John Brown Estate Agents again if we moved house again.

They offer a fantastic property sales service and they manage our rental property portfolio very effectively. I can honestly say I would not have survived my house move process without John Brown Estate agents. Nicola in particular was amazing at navigating procedures and was extremely responsive to my needs. She acted as a go between for myself and the solicitors and helped us get answers when no one else was responding. I would highly recommend

Loads of viewings arranged and 3 buyers secured (2 pulled out), 1 after the other. David was excellent but I reserve the highest praise for Nicola who went way above and beyond the call of duty. I put my house up for sale in early February and to say I didn't have the best solicitor. Is an understatement. My sale only completed late July and I truly believe that without John Brown Estate Agents and the AMAZING help of Nicola Bullock my Estate Agent my sale would have never completed. Just purchased via John Brown. We found them reliable and easy to deal with. The purchase was delayed by Covid and all the problems that go with it. Despite this Nicola was able to deal with any queries we had with the vendors and always came back to us promptly. Tried to get information regards a property in Ashton avenue, rainhill via their online form. Did this three times, never received any information regards this house and no calls.
Wouldn't like to think I was selling a house by them, missing hot leads like that!
IN REPLY TO YOUR COMMENTS, I HAD TWO EMAILS BACK CONFIRMING IT HAD BEEN RECEIVED, THE LATEST ON THE 29TH OCTOBE, advising I'd get a call. I didn't call the office as I thought this way of communication was sufficient!

Please avoid this unprofessional estate agency at all times.
We are a couple and we tried to rent the only property they offer in London and throughout the proccess it was difficult to communicate by email as their response was late and the information given was very poor. At the end we followed every step they demanded. On the 20th of April and after paying 1 month deposit+first month rent+agency fees we were ready to receive the keys and get into our new place as on the 24th of April we were starting a new job.
When we arrived into the property to sign the contract and check the inventory accompanied by their colleague in London, we found the property dirty and damaged as someone had put isolation foam in every sink of the flat as well in every appliance, all pipes and sinks were blocked and the general condition was miserable, we were not able to live in such a disastrous place. We found as well the dishwasher full of dirty plates and an offensive smell coming from it, the house was not clean with dirty linen on the bed and bathroom, the fridge and freezer were full of ice and it was not even possible to open the doors from the freezer, the ligths in the kitchen were on and all the sockets were on as well. Obviously they did not check the property between it was vacated and before we arrived what is surprisingly incredible...
At this point it started the nightmare, the person we were talking with throughout the renting proccess did answer at first instance over the phone with no solutions and then disappear from the picture. Then the manager rang us with the only solution of staying in that place in such a miserable condition or giving us back the money the next day and vacate the property, we chose to have our money back and we were left on the street at 21:30 with no place to go. Meanwhile the person sent representing the agency was trying to convince us that the whole building was having the same problem as consecuence of a heavy rain (obviously not) at the same time he was having a written conversation over his personal mobile phone with the people from the agency, the whole situation and their way to handle it was absolutely unbelievable, we were in shock. How the people from the agency manage the situation was disgusting as they were offering us to stay at this property even it was not suitable to live as all the sinks and bath were blocked.
After this catastrophic event we were really upset and in the worst moment of our lives as we were starting a new job on the Monday coming and we ended up with no place to live. We arrived at London with the best expectations and with an exciting future in our new career step. We have received our money back but this agency has ruined our lifes and has made us to go through our most horrible experience to date. Please we highly recommend avoiding any contact with this agency for sake of your mental and physical health. I would not wish to anyone the situation we have been through with them.
