I have known Jon Simon for over a decade—initially when purchasing my property, then while letting it through them, and most recently during its sale. Throughout this time, they have consistently been extremely helpful and professional.

Worst agency we've dealt with. Went to see one of their properties to let. I was happy with it and wanted to proceed. They had other viewings and after a few hours gave us a phone call saying landlord chose us. The very same day we filled the forms and next day they tell us we can't get the house anymore because we are self employed and currently live in North East and wanting to relocate to North West and that's why it isn't secure income. We wanted to pay for full 6 months, later on even offered to cover 12 months. But those people FAILED to understand that we have £30,000 in the bank account and also another £115,000 pending as we are getting this money after the sale of our house in the bank account. £145,000 cash was not enough to rent us a house because we don't have secured jobs. Absolutely waste of time. Not only they posted the property I wanted a week prior to viewings (it was empty for more than a week until they started doing viewings). So think twice before you decide to let this agency deal with your property or you want to rent from them. 7 hours on the road wasted completely and the disappointment we had to experience because of this agency. AVOID.

Jon Simon Radcliffe have been incredible from start to finish! Moving house definitely isn’t easy but they’ve always been at the end of the phone with some reassuring words on the stressful days. Each and every staff member has gone above and beyond and they have been an incredible team to deal with. I would highly recommend Jenine as a sales consultant as she’s been supportive and well-informed since our very first meeting. I wouldn’t consider anyone else to buy or sell a property with in the future.

Avoid avoid AVOID. Extremely useless from beginning to end. What a horrific experience dealing with this agency is. It is one thing being dishonest but being cowards too, well that really is something. I've never experienced such lazy, slack, rude, delusional & dense people. Also having Jo Scott as "Property Manager" is honestly just laughable. If you're looking for an amazing agency whether to rent or to buy this is most definitely not the one.

Our experience with JonSimon was deeply disappointing, primarily due to their failure to properly vet the landlords they work with and their lack of attention to essential details such as providing an inventory report.
We encountered significant issues with the property, including heating failures and mould infestations—problems that stemmed from the landlord's negligence. Although JonSimon does not manage the property, it is concerning that they did not adequately assess the landlord's ability to maintain the property and respond to tenant concerns. As a result, we were left to deal with a landlord who displayed a blatant disregard for our well-being and the property's condition.
Now - back to the agents. Furthermore, despite our requests before and after moving in, JonSimon failed to provide an inventory report. This oversight made it challenging to accurately assess the property's condition and led to complications in resolving disputes with the landlord.
Communication with JonSimon was also lacking, with our inquiries often met with delayed or evasive responses, or no response whatsoever. Their failure to address our concerns in a timely manner only exacerbated the situation.
In conclusion, we would caution against using JonSimon due to their apparent oversight in vetting landlords and their failure to provide essential documentation such as an inventory report.
BE WARNED! Always ensure that you receive an inventory report - we tried to chase them several times with no response. Luckily, we took photographs and videos prior to our move in to help dispute against some of the landlord's obnoxious claims.

PLEASE READ: I feel sorry for the owners trying to sell their property with this company. The sales team in Radcliffe are horrific at responding to enquiries. Luckily there are plenty houses on the market right now going for an fair price and we managed to quickly find accommodating service however Jenine and the team left my emails and offers without a response for weeks at a time! I also question their tone and professionalism when communicating back and forth. Please consider switching your agents!!

Mixed experience being a tenant managed by Jonsimon. Tenant 4 6 years had a good introduction to the property by one of the owners. But on a number of occasions throughout tenancy got pestering phone calls about unpaid rent when in truth I always paid my rent 2 weeks early because of my payday????. Got pestering phone calls about doing inspections while at work. They would most of the time do repairs within a good time frame and were considerate when the landlord put the house on the market. But it seems not keeping good track record of paid rent. I overpaid my rent by 3 weeks and got ghosted when I tried to get it back, still waiting????

Recently bought a property with Jon Simons and they've been amazing, I worked with Leanne and she made it all so much smoother and quicker. Any time we had an issue she was always on hand to help and kick solicitors in to gear, would still be waiting I reckon had it not been for her helping hand! She always kept us in the loop of what the vendor was hoping for too, couldn't of asked for a better person!

Wish I could leave a 0 star review. Phoned on 29/06/22 at 2:05pm to enquire about a 1 flat for sale (Canalside,Radcliff). I was very rudely told that they are awaiting for tenants to give a viewing slot. I mentioned that I am an investor living in London and not going to be viewing the flat and will be purchasing over the phone (subject to some numbers). I was very abruptly told that they can not answer anything and just hung the phone up. STAY CLEAR of these agents. I felt so sorry for the vendor who decided to use JonSimon to sell their property. I phoned to put an offer but I was told to **** off, GREAT SERVICE

Very strange communication on the phone. I called in to ask about a property for let. The first time, I was hung up on. I called again the second time, explained to them that I was hung up on, and I was met with a rude indifferent response, with the agent saying, "Ok, how can I help?".

Jon simon lettings are a joke letting agency they supposed to manage your letting but don't like sorting any issues out when any work needs doing.They even kept it quiet that the landlord was selling to another landlord and didn't let tenants know.They only found out because the new landlord knocked on door saying the rents going up 200 pounds a month either accept or move out is the choice. Jon simon lettings not interested ,only intersted when you paying the rent on time, all you get when you ring is cocky staff making excuses and lying through there back teeth. It's disgusting they way they treat people and as for the bond they holding you've no idea if your getting it back as they don't know which landlord should be giving it you..So if uve got damp all over your house one of the arrogant girls said can you not just open window ,brilliant advice that thanks let the kids freeze and carry on with there chest infections. So if you want a 700 pound a month damp 2 bed terrace you know where to go.

What an amazing team from first contacting them, Andy was great and very informative when i was viewing my house and came across very professional. Andy and Jon kept me updated throughout my purchase which was fantastic.
I also found it very handy that they have an insurance broker in the Radcliffe office, Michaela did my insurances and was extremely competitive with her prices.
I would definitely sell and by with Jonsimon Estate Agents again and would highly recommend them to anyone ????

Bought a terraced in Burnley to add to my rent portfolio. I'm not too local to them, so I was working with Jonsimon from a distance which I thought may have been a problem, but it wasnt. They couldn't have been more helpful tbh. I've dealt with estate agents in the south and midlands, so I have had plenty of experience with estate agents and these guys were just so down to earth.

After a year and a half of being the perfect tenant, I left my home to find a “for sale” sign in front of my house. They hadn’t bothered to tell me. Jon Simon as a letting agency will follow all legal rules and boundaries. But when it comes to human decency, respect, kindness and following ethical and moral law, they flounder and don’t. I found a new home to rent due to the uncertainty of my new situation of having potential viewers look at my home and it being sold, and they promptly pasted a “for rent” sign over the “for sale” sign. The landlord wanted money coming in despite wanting to sell. I moved into that home with three children wanting a long term rent. They even told me I could decorate, with it being a long term rental. Gd knows what they told the next tenants. I vacated the property paying for an extra day to make sure I left it perfect. I cleaned the oven, hoovered etc. They didn’t inspect the property for over a week until I left, delaying things. They ignored my phone calls and emails. Eventually after I called them yet again, I was told rudely that I left the property unclean. I remember moving into the property to find nails on the bathroom floor and grease in the kitchen where there was no seals. They requested £150 to be taken off my deposit.
Warning to all prospective tenants. Unless there is a commission involved, these people will show you nothing but ignorance and zero respect. I trained in counselling and social work to masters level before I became a single mother looking after children including a child with a disability. These people see only a single mum on benefits who has no value at all. Despite me never having missed a months rent and having kept the house perfect. (I had inspections every 6 months). It’s both karma and irony that I’m currently the best bet for any landlord in the current climate, and that money greedy, ignorant sales people such as these will be the ones to loose money. Suffice to say, I would never rent from Jon Simon agency again, and I urge people to think very carefully before doing so.
