Moving is a very stressful time but Mann made it much less stressful by dealing with questions and queries very promptly and keeping me up to date with everything that needed to be done ready for me to move in smoothly. I had a viewing booked in, however, due to an Admin oversight it was meant to be a different day. I called through to the office. I spoke to Karl who went above and beyond and showed me 2 properties on less that 30 mins notice very professional and he had a human touch which is key in a role like his a true professional well done Karl keep up the good work more than 5stars for this gent ????

Lucky to get an answer when calling. Hugely disappointed in this service - our external door lock was changd without any notice, when we contacted we were told no one is aware.
Despite chasing for over a month and facing security issues at home due to the door being open, not to mention the risk of being locked out if someone decided to lock the external door, we have not been given a new set of keys and have now been informed were expected to pay for a set or 'wait for your landlord' to give us a set. Again, we have been chasing this for over a month.

We went with Mann to sell out house after it had been on & off the market for several years with no sale. Laura & the team were outstanding with a sale agreed within a relatively short period of time. The process ended up being extremely challenging with difficult tenants in the property & the buyers chain falling apart on several occassions. Despite these difficulties Mann managed to keep the chain together & went well above & beyond to ensure the sale completed almost a year after it was intially agreed.

I went to Mann when other estate agents let us down with buyers who were not fully committed . Mann were brilliant. They found us a handful of interested buyers within days and helped steer us towards the buyers who were the most committed. As a result the sale went through quickly and without a hitch. I wish I had gone to them first. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Mann provided an excellent service in selling my flat and I would use again. Mann had to work hard to earn their commission for this sale. A realistic selling price was advised with market data to back up. This resulted in competing buyers. Mann advised in the best proceedable buyer. In hindsight this advice really paid off. The sale proved difficult with slow solicitors, unresponsive freeholder/management agent, issues with BSA 2022 documents and lenders incorrectly marking the property down as non standard construction (LPS). Laura provided the most appropriate/sensible level of communication to both frustrated parties which facilitated a successful sale. The sale took nearly 7 months to complete. My flat was the only one out of 4 flats within the same block to sell. 2 are still on the market and the other has been withdrawn from sale. Great service and very pleased that it’s now sold.

I broke my tenancy agreement because of the build up of raw sewage due to an issue with the toilet drain. Despite repeated requests, the letting agency did not resolve the issue in a timely manner, leading me to involve the Bromley Housing Enforcement Team. I also received my security deposit a month later than expected. I am taking steps to bring it to the attention of the Property Ombudsman in the hopes of preventing similar issues for other tenants in the future.

Had a viewing last Saturday and even called before to make sure as received no text or email confirmation. Nobody showed up at the property and wouldn’t answer the phone. Hard enough to book viewings but this was a new standard of low from estate agents at the moment.

Spoke to a rep last Wednesday (29th Dec), that told me she would call me today Tuesday (4th Jan) to set up a viewing of a rental property I was interested in.
2pm rolled around and I had received no call, so I called to speak to someone. Was told I would be updated at a later date on the circumstances of the rental property as they had to hear back from the landlord on a potential offer.
The conversation I had with the rep on Wednesday might as well have not taken place, with the way the situation was handled.
I was happy to put the deposit in last week, but being told they would set up an appointment with me at a later date to get everything sorted gave me a false peace of mind to wait.
Don’t offer appointments if you won’t follow through with getting back to someone.
If I hadn’t called to check what was going on I would have never received a phone call back. Extremely unprofessional.

A summary of the situation: I could see the property was available online and in person as there was a sign just in front of the property for a long time. I have called this agency on many occasions to ask if I could see the property in question. I have called them on the day it has been advertised. About 6 or more months ago, I had seen the same property being advertised. They have recently advertised it again, in the beginning of August 2021. Regardless it was available, they have not given me the chance to see the property.

As first time buyers MANN - Sydenham has been amazing, they really took us through each step and answered any questions we had (we had a load of questions). We mainly liaised with Monica, Clive and Scott on our purchase. I can’t even begin to explain the excellent customer service we received form the team, they always emailed back any queries we had in a timely manner and made sure we were always kept updated with what was going on with the property weather it was the smallest or biggest change. I really respect how they work as a team. This is just the service we received during our journey, before we first viewed the property from the instant call I had with Clive I really could see this as being our home before we even saw the flat, he was so positive and really cared about what we were looking for. On our first visit Clive took all precautions to make us feel safe and welcome. Clive and Monica were always there to give me an answer/advice on any queries we had (and we had a few!). I am so glad I fell into the hands of such an amazing team. My work colleagues heard one of my conversations with Clive and she said wow your estate agent really likes you, I knew then I was in safe hands. At the end of the day I know this was a purchase but we have built such a great relationship with the team. Again as a first time buyer I was over the moon with the experience I had, I know for any future dealings I will stick with the MANN team at Sydenham.

If you’re a tenant do all you can to avoid these jokers. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such abysmal customer service. Landlords are let off the hook constantly when it comes to fulfilling even simple repairs. The management part of the company (part of countrywide group) might get back to you about repairs after a high degree of nagging but clearly just hope you’ll give up.
At the end of the day they’re happy once you’re in the property and don’t give a s**t about your welfare or quality of life after that point.
Genuinely horrific experience. We’re almost at the end of our first year contract and there are at least seven issues still unresolved which were logged within 24hrs of moving in. Best bit is that the renewal arm of the outfit just contacted us about a new contract and suggested a rent increase. Like, how about ????????
Oh and at the time of sorting contracts last year you got £20 off the fee if you left a positive review on here. So I’d ignore anything on google reviews with 4 or 5 stars, under a sentence long. Avoid avoid avoid. Mann lettings are even worse than Janets bar, Kensington and that’s saying something (look those reviews up, they’re brilliant and you’re welcome).

If I could give 0 stars I would. This agency is terrible, doesn’t resolve any issues, doesn’t respond and uses all the excuses in the book to ensure they make the most money possible. Avoid at all cost.
Also they give you a discount on the agency fees if you write a positive review so don’t trust any of the below reviews.

Initially we met both viewing different properties and despite these not working out for us, they took in everything we were looking for. A few weeks later a house that suited us much more went back on the market and they got in touch immediately, helping us to put in a very quick offer. Daniel and his colleagues let my flat as soon as I advised them that the previous tenant was leaving. They arranged the check-out for previous tenant and check- in for new tenant. This is the third flat that this office has let for me and in each case they have found me excellent tenants and have managed the process brilliantly. Wouldn't use any other agent.

This has been a joke! I moved into a managed property 2 years ago and since then we have at least 3 different property managers. I would email with an issue only to get a response a month later that the person was not working there anymore and no one would ever follow it up!! When moving out of the property on the day of the check-out, I sent a formal request for the return of the deposit and still to this day A MONTH later, we haven't received anything. I have been calling and emailing and I've been ignored and lied to. I'm very disappointed in the service as Doug was really nice when he showed us the house 2 years ago.

I would definitely recommend Mann & Co in Sydenham as the Estate Agent to use. They are professional, dedicated and determined to get the best price for your property that you are selling. The sales staff meet and greet you and learn everything they can about your property in order to market it. The Team, Lee, Guy, Truong, Hannah & Natalie were superb and I thank them all for their hard work.

I let my flat through Mann Countrywide, and could not be happier with the service provided. In particular, Daniel Sarpong was absolutely fantastic. As anxious landlords, he went out of his way to make the process as smooth as possible for us, answering all our emails and calls quickly providing us with reassurance as well as information all along the way. I'm just about to move into my second let arranged through Mann Sydenham and they have made the transition seamless. The staff are great, and it's lovely to see familiar faces still at the branch a year later. I think that says something about them as a team. Daniel (the manager) was great at looking out for suitable properties for us, and Doug is a warm, friendly Lettings negotiator who really looked after us. Hazel completed all the paperwork side of things very efficiently. What else can I say? Fab!

I can't say enough nice things about the staff of Mann Countrywide Lettings. Doug our estate agent, was diligent and trustworthy. He was intrumental in getting us into our new flat for the right price and for exactly what we wanted. After the relatively short wait to see if the landlord accepted our application (again I'm sure Doug was instrumental in his acceptance) we had to deal with Hazel who managed our references, scheduling of signature and the key exchange. She was as great to work with as Doug. Friendly and helpful with the due dilligence process. I would highly recommend them to any of my colleagues looking to move.

We rented a property from Mann Countrywide Sydenham, and received an excellent service from Doug and Dan. We viewed a couple of houses but they were not trying to push us to rent something that wasn't right; once we found the one we loved they made sure the paperwork and moving in part ran smoothly. The house was in a fantastic condition, with paintwork done where discussed and flat cleaned. I would recommend and use Mann Countrywide again!

Where to begin? I think it's best not to, the only thing good I can possibly say about Mann and Co are Daniel Sarpong and Carmel (don't know her surname)who completely salvaged a small portion of their reputation in my eyes, the whole firm was like a circus, I had tenants moved in without proper references which led to my payment protection insurance being void leaving me at the mercy of my tenants who were late paying 80% of the time, Daniel and Carmel were both like Knights in shining armour who did the best that they could with what they were thrown into but I have nothing positive to say about the firm other than those two who deserve far better than working for Countrywide.
In summing up, I had planned to rent my property and cash it in when I was 60, Mann and Co persuaded me otherwise with their shoddy and unprofessional approach to managing my property which was supposed to be stress free but was anything but, if you got the chance to infect yourself with the plague or deal with Mann and Co than the plague is much more appealing and I advise it more than allowing the Sydenham branch of Mann and co to manage your property.
Other than that it was alright.
