I purchased a house through Rob at Margaret James Estate Agents and I can’t express enough how happy I was! Rob is super friendly and incredibly helpful. He got me into my house within 5 weeks of my offer being accepted. I would often message Rob late into the evening, expecting a reply during office hours, however I always got a reply straight away. In the future, if I sell my house, I will be picking the phone up to Rob straight away. Everyone needs a Rob when buying or selling a house!

The professionalism of Rob was amazing. His marketing techniques drew people in with interest before our home even went live on the website, meaning that we sold our property in three days and secured our new home purchase with him the same day.
Rob has answered any questions we have had and chased solicitors getting answers before we have even asked some of the questions he was always a step ahead of us throughout the whole process.

All I can say is that Rob has the patience of a saint!! Having made the decision to sell our home, I contacted Rob who set the selling wheels in motion. Our house went "live" on the Saturday, and viewing started almost immediately. The following Friday I took a call from Rob, with an offer of the full asking price! At first I thought he was joking ! 6 days??!! And no chain!! Offer accepted! Now I'll be the first to admit that I am not up to speed with the way conveyancing is done these days, so every day I'd be ringing Rob with a question! How does this work? What do we need to sign? How long does this take? What does this mean? Why do they do it that way? Why is it raining? Is Aldi open? OK, maybe not the last two, but I'm sure if I had asked, Rob would have given me the answer!! He had already said that the usual timeframe is between 12-18 weeks from offer to completion ....but he did it all in 6 weeks! 6 weeks and he was handing the keys to the new owner! It would be impossible to fault the professionalism and knowledge of Margaret James Estate Agents - their response to phone calls and emails is exemplary - which makes all the difference to a seller when they have a nerve-wracking moment (or maybe that's just me!) - but it makes all the difference knowing that someone is there to guide and advise. If you are looking for an Agent to sell your biggest commodity, then you shouldn't look any further. Besides buying your next home, using Margaret James Estate Agents will be the best decision you make

I only knew Margaret James from their "For Sale" and "Sold" signs around town. I knew they were a relatively new agent, but they seemed to have more "Sold" signs than the more established agents.
As soon as I decided to go with Margaret James, Rob Hodgson was on the case and, after photographing and videoing the house, it was up for sale online the next morning. I priced the house reasonably (but not as reasonably as the more established agents were encouraging me to do. They seem to be undervaluing whereas Rob was more realistic.) The house sold within 24 hours of going online, so I was a very happy customer.
I found Rob, and his henchwoman, Michelle, to be positive and proactive, without being pushy. Both were always available and approachable. Rob has even continued to be helpful eighteen months after the sale when the buyer of my house needed to contact me again.
I can't fault the service and would recommend Margaret James to anyone selling (or buying) in Olney and the surrounding area.

Moving house is one of the most stressful things you'll ever do and sometimes it can be difficult to know who is working in your interests or just their own.
With Rob and Margaret James, we always felt that they were working hard for us.
From the brilliant photography and promotion that had viewings booked before the house even hit any of the moving websites, to the advice, guidance and updates, Margaret James delivered every step of the way.
They priced the house that meant that we had a price that was great but that attracted people to view and take interest.

Rob at Margaret James in Olney has been fantastic helping us out with our house move. Having had bad luck and previous experiences, Rob was very personable and sympathetic. He took time to get to know us and talk about our worries which was really nice. He was always at the end of a phone if we needed him and would always respond, keeping us in the loop at all times. Having lived in Olney for many years and having mixed experience of local agents, I asked around and got excellent reports of the new guy, Rob Hodgson at Margaret James. Being a marketeer, I was impressed with his progressive approach to selling houses, how he thought about positioning ours and thinking creatively about marketing. Plus things like the team wanted to 'sell' our house, rather than leave us to it and simply provide a photo in the window and an online listing; and the photos and videos looked fantastic. We were delighted when our house sold with just a couple of weeks. But Rob's commitment to his business really shone through once the sales process was underway. He personally provided regular updates, explained what was going on and estimated timescales, plus he called up and down the chain to keep the whole sale progressing. In final panic on moving day, he even offered to take our last bag to the charity shop! Excellent service and so refreshing to have someone who sees his success in listening carefully, responding quickly and helping to control and steer to a happy conclusion for all. Well done Rob (& Tom), you're forging a new way of estate agency and it's great.

Rob, the owner and founder named his company after his parents and it's clear that he values the reputation of his company and likes to go the extra mile to assist clients. Rob gave great advice to us when we were selling our home and despite a fairly unusual market we had a sale in a few weeks.
