We had been looking for a long time to find a property in Fowey. We were moving down full time so it needed to be right! And after viewing multiple properties with all the lovely staff in the office, over many years, Jane took us to view our dream property! Although our offer wasn't initially the winning one, when the other offer fell through, Jane had kept us in mind and helped us secure our wonderful new home!
The MW&G staff were always on hand to help us with any queries (of which there were many!) and to solve any problems that arose!

Isabel at May Whetter and Grose was our estate agent for the purchase - and from beginning to end of what turned out to be a battle of a purchase - she was brilliant.
We found our new house online and called and very quickly was able to view the property with Isabel who met us at the property and gave us a knowledgable & upfront honest overview which allowed us to evaluate the property. She highlighted points of note and happily met up for a second viewing where she answered any follow up questions after liasing with the sellers.
No other estate agent has gone above and beyond to help us in the process like Isabel has. Her support carried on for the entire 9 month process - from headaches with land registry to non-responsive seller solicitors - right up to a challenging completion. Without Isabel I genuinely don’t believe we would have been able to complete on what is our dream home. Throughout I knew we were in safe hands when she said “leave it with me” and that i could rely on Isabel to know what was happening.

We employed MWG to sell our house in Polruan. We put it on the market just before Liz the Lettuce crashed the UK economy. Through the winter of 22/23 the financial uncertainty dragged on until the spring when confidence returned and they showed many buyers around. Their staff were superb all the way through the process. Those showing people around are lovely, enthusiastic, local people who not only sell the property but also the idea of living in this village. Other agents offered their services but they did not have local staff and wanted us to drop our price for a quick sale. MWG were prepared to stick it out and eventually got us the price we were looking for. They put in a huge amount of effort for us, kept us well informed and certainly earned their fees. Excellent value for money. They totally belie the negative image that many people have of estate agents. Very highly recommended.
