Top service from Naish. Communication was excellent throughout — any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly, which made the whole process feel much less stressful. I loved their use of a WhatsApp group to keep everyone in the loop. It made it effortless to follow each step, see updates in real time and stay on top of any paperwork or forms that needed doing. Their ability to do everything remotely made an huge difference for us working full time with young children. Highly recommend! Overall, a very smooth and well-organised service with lovely people!

A great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend.
Matt came out and talked me through how the process would look as this was my first time as a seller. He told me what he thought we should list the house for which I thought was reasonable.
Jade was great throughout the viewing process and the back and forth of when the offers started coming in helping to secure the full asking price after around 6 weeks on the market (suggesting the list price was about right).
Finally Kim was spectacular, keeping the sale on track, offering assurance as the chain started to drag and finally getting things over the line with an ever changing exchange date!
All in all I'm very happy with the service I received and the entire process.

We bought our first house through NAISH recently, and cannot recommend them highly enough. They are a small company and the communication between everyone is exceptional. They also take the time to get to know you and what you want out of the process, making you feel heard and supported.
Every member of staff throughout the whole process was kind, supportive and professional. The case manager, Kim, was incredible. As first time buyers, we appreciated having Kim taking the time to explain to us what was going on, what the next steps were, and offering reassurance and a friendly presence throughout.
We cannot recommend them highly enough and when it comes to sell our house, we will definitely be using them.

We recently bought a properyty and sold our previous property though Naish and couldn't wish for a better Estate Agent! We met Jade for the viewing of the purchased property and were extremely impressed with her knowledge and professionalism (which continued onto the sale of our property). Naish photographer took very flattering pictures of our proerty to be used on the listing.
Kimberly dealt with everything once we'd agreed the purchase and sale, her professionalism, knowlegde and constant reassurance was invaluable throughout the process (particlularly for us as first-time middle-chain buyers/sellers). If we could have sidestepped solicitors and let Kimberly deal with everythig then we would have. [Thank you Kim!]
Naish might not be the cheapest of Estate Agents in York but they're definitely worth the fees. Highly recommended.

It may seem strange to read a 5 star review for NOT selling my house, but the fact they didn’t in my case just shows the professionalism and honesty of Matt and the Naish team. Having recently had some personal challenges to overcome, I thought I would need to sell my house. Matt came to value the house (a valuation that ended up being absolutely spot on against the mortgage valuation), and talked through why I was selling. Instead of the hard sell, he actually worked through options to help me keep my house, putting me in touch with his financial advisor, and with his legal team. Fast forward a few months, and I am keeping my house. Honestly can’t thank Matt enough, I thought I was heading off the property market. Naturally if I ever do sell, there’s no question where I’ll go! Highly recommend the Naish team - transparent, knowledgeable, efficient and genuinely want to provide an amazing service.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience felt important to share. As a buyer, I cannot recommend Naish based on how the process was handled. I started out optimistic and ready to trust the agent’s guidance, but that trust quickly broke down.
Important information wasn’t communicated clearly. I had to chase updates even when the agent and seller were already aware of changes weeks beforehand but failed to share them with me or my solicitor, leading to last-minute damage control. When I raised concerns, I was met with a patronising tone that felt dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than feeling supported, the process became unnecessarily stressful and difficult.
It’s a pity, because with clearer communication and a more respectful approach, this could have been a much smoother experience. While Naish has many positive reviews online, my experience as a buyer was very different and disappointing. Based on my experience, I would advise buyers to proceed with caution.

Naish Estate Agents recently sold two of my properties in York city centre with professional tenants in situ after previously securing both fully managed tenancies.
I cannot recommend Naish and all the team highly enough with a very special thanks to Helen.
After being a professional landlord for over twenty years I have heard it all and dealt with it all with most failing to deliver.
Helen was ridiculously efficient in her efforts from day one spending unlimited time explaining exactly what Naish was going to do, how the proposed tenancies and sales would be achieved with unlimited communication throughout the journey. After being disappointed with other agents efforts I must say a sceptical eyebrow was raised.
Helen and Naish achieved to the letter exactly what they said they would do, within the timeframe they said they would do it, no drama.
Thanks to Sam a washing machine issue in one of the rentals was efficiently dealt with, replacement organised with updated plumbing. Not as straightforward as it sounds in the city centre, two floors up and no lift. Sam of course efficiently dealt with everything, happy tenant, no drama.
Let's not forget the Naish engine room, Annie and Co sales progression, without such excellent service progress can sometimes become bleak, none linear and where some agents often fall down.
A big thanks again to Helen and all the team at Naish, you all achieved what you set out to achieve...no drama.

We chose Naish to sell our late father's house. The choice was based on their valuation for probate - not the actual amount but the detail that went into the research for the valuation compared with the other two agents we'd asked. It therefore seemed an obvious choice to then go with Matt and the team for the actual sale, and we were not disappointed. The photos were outstanding, and as the house was in excellent location and in good condition we were not surprised to receive a couple of offers within days, and Naish managed to get us comfortably across the line. Other advantages were a flexible and cost-effective pricing scheme, and the presence of an in-house solicitor conveyancing service which made things very efficient. If we were ever to sell our own house near York Naish would be top of the list.

Jade's enthusiasm, drive and her knowledge of the village came across really well during the valuation and she identified all the positives and potential our home had.
We were looking for an estate agent who were prepared to try an off-market approach to the sale and Naish didn't hesitiate to accept the challenge where others shied away from this.
Within 5 days we had received multiple offers in excess of the asking price which was a great result.

You would expect Maryanne Smith, and the whole team at Naish Estate Agents, to handle property transactions professionally, and of course they have.
But they have gone well beyond their contractual obligations to provide a service that has far exceeded our expectations. We are based in Devon - too far to be able to oversee the transaction in person - and Naish have enabled it to happen smoothly, providing advice and support at all times with courtesy, common sense and good humour.
We think that this is the fourteenth time we have bought and sold property. My wife and I have promised each other that we will never move again.... but if we do, we will choose Naish to help us do it.

Simply the best in York. Over the years the Naish Team have dealt with two property sales and purchases for me, and provided a fully managed service for my rental property. Solicitor James has even updated my Will. The management of my rental property has been exceptional, with Simone dealing with issues so effectively and efficiently that the experience has felt problem free. The Team are professional, friendly, communicative, and always willing to go the extra mile. When selling my house with Naish, they couldn't do enough for me. They would answer every question - even my silly ones - with honesty and insight. There was no 'selling' it was honest, straightforward professional advice. Some agents try and tell you a really high number to get your business, but then you end up waiting months or years to sell and have to reduce your price anyway. Worse still, people see it's been on the market for months and wonder what is wrong with it, so avoid it!
With Naish, you are helped to understand what your house is really worth, and what you could do to make the sale more likely. James Naish helps you get what you are after - your house sold, at a good price that you will be happy with.
Their communication was also far better than other agents I've experienced. I think this is because they are a family business that care.
Next time I'm selling, I'll come back for sure!
