I had an excellent experience selling my property with Neville & Neville Estate Agents, and in particular working with Francis, who was outstanding from start to finish.
Francis originally found my buyer and handled the negotiations brilliantly, securing a result I was very happy with. What really impressed me though was his dedication throughout the entire process. He managed the sales progression and chasing exceptionally well, keeping everything moving and ensuring I always knew exactly where things stood.
He always provided viewing feedback the same day and was incredibly responsive, always getting back to me within the day whenever I had questions. Francis also made a point of giving me weekly updates, even when there was nothing new to report, just to make sure I was always kept fully informed. Selling a property can be stressful, but he kept me calm throughout and took the time to explain each stage of the process so I fully understood what was happening.
One thing I particularly appreciated was that he continued arranging viewings right up until exchange of contracts. This meant I had backup buyers in place in case anything went wrong or the existing buyer tried to renegotiate — which ultimately protected me and gave me great peace of mind.
What really sets Neville & Neville Estate Agents apart from other estate agents is their level of communication, care and attention to detail throughout the process. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I would absolutely recommend Neville & Neville Estate Agents, especially Francis, for his professionalism, communication and commitment to achieving the best outcome for their clients.

The whole team were professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and guided my mum through the sale of her house from start to finish. They kept us both fully informed and quickly notified us of anything that affected her or the sale, which really helped reduce the stress levels. EDIT - RESPONSE -<br><br>Adele showed us around and from our understanding she works for N&N, not Mansell??? We then proceeded with Mansell as you lied and said the house we were interested in was under offer with MMTG (it wasn’t). You’re lying in your response, it’s comical! Our offer wasn’t declined when it was never put forward due to your illegal and discriminatory behaviour! Saying that your colleague never showed us around when we have appointment confirmations plus texts from her apologising for running 10 mins behind. I have to hand it to you, I respect your delusional way of thinking! I would like to point out your introduction on the website - “In Thomas's opinion, many estate agents are disorganised and lacking respect”. Considering the way you treat your customers and seem to be confused about your own booked (or lack of) appointments, maybe you should remove that line from your website.<br><br>I don’t even know where to start. My husband spoke to Thomas to arrange a viewing which he either never put in their diary or just forgot about as no one showed up. When we called to chase he didn’t offer any apology and no offer to reschedule. Luckily, Adele contacted us to reschedule. After the viewing and many back and forths, Thomas told endless lies about the status of the house, constantly keeping us second guessing if it was sold or still available. He then refused to put our proceedable offer to the developer because our current house that we are selling is shared ownership. In his “experience” they take too long and that was his reasoning. This is not only illegal it’s also discrimination. Thomas has been consistently rude and condescending. Leading us up the garden path and wasting our time completely. Absolutely awful!

I don’t often leave reviews, especially not negative ones, but thought it only fair to warn potential buyers and sellers of my experience. I called recently to enquire about a property which was listed for sale. I was surprised when Thomas Neville answered, to hear the discourteous tone from the offset. I wondered what I had done wrong to receive this hostility. It turned out the house had already sold and the sellers were only open to back up buyers in a strong position, which is totally reasonable. However, the way I was spoken to, especially when it was decided that I was not a suitable candidate to view the house, really took me aback. I have seen similar reviews (see below) where the estate agent has replied stating they are malicious reviews from a competitor. I can assure people reading this that I am not a competitor, we are a local family hoping to find our family forever home! If you’re considering listing with the agent please consider that potential buyers may be spoken to very rudely.

I cannot overstate how impressed I have been with Thomas at Neville and Neville in achieving the sale of my substantial Grade II listed property.
He was my fifth estate agent, and yet secured more viewings in his first three months than others combined had achieved in the preceding three years.
His market knowledge, creativity and stamina have been remarkable and, in contrast to some other agents who were only available during ‘office hours’, he answered my WhatsApp messages promptly - sometimes even when sent at 0600 hrs or 2300 hrs at weekends.
Thomas also liaised proactively and persistently with both solicitors and mortgage lenders of potential buyers to expedite the sale.
If you seek an estate agent who exhibits genuine market insight, passion and enthusiasm to achieve a sale then I would unreservedly recommend Neville & Neville.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Neville & Neville Estate Agents. Practically speaking, they soon found a buyer for my house and then found a new house on their books for me. But, over and above the practicalities, was their highest standard of care, communication and support. They were always at the end of the phone to offer help and updates immediately. I felt I could talk to all of the staff freely and frankly and that they understood my concerns or questions exactly and could always do something to help right away. And of course their helpful, pro-active approach was extended to viewers, solicitors, my buyer and to the person I subsequently bought from. I have nothing but huge gratitude for their work and support through the choppy seas of house-moving!

Couldn't have been happier with them, especially bearing in mind we were the buyers (ie they weren't 'our' agents, they were being paid by the vendor). Nothing was too much trouble for them whether it was keeping lines of communications open, making sure papers were moved in the right directions, ensuring appointments were properly arranged, recommending tradesmen and that sort of thing. Because they are not a 'branches everywhere' organisation, everyone in the office knows what is going on with your transaction and that means, even as a buyer, I always felt like I was their number 1 priority. Booked in to see a property, Thomas neville spoke with my husband, tried to put him off buying it, very odd for a estate agent trying to sell the property, then booked us in a week later to view. Did not turn up to viewing wasted our time. We called no-one could contact him, we called again after 15 minutes and were told he would be sent a message of urgency to call us, he then called to say it was under offer and that they had called to cancel our appointment. A complete lie. Neither myself or husband had a call or message.
He is the most rude estate agent I or my husband have spoken to.
Clearly didn't want to sell to us, all a bit dodgy if you ask me.

This is a genuine review. If anyone wants to contact me I can confirm the property we were booked into and times. We are a genuine couple trying to buy a property not a competitor. So the response to any negative reviews grows old. Thomas neville was rude and arrogant. Did not want us to look at property, then booked us in a week later and never showed up.
Take this estate agent on at your own risk as this man was totally rude and time wasting without apology.

Phoned to enquire about a property and spoke to the rudest estate agent I’ve ever encountered. The man I spoke to had zero interest in telling me anything about the property or holding a conversation. He answered my questions with rude and abrupt one word answers. Absolutely appalling customer service. Nothing at all like all the friendly agents I speak to who are actively trying to sell properties by opening their mouths and speaking!!
I’m not even interested in seeing the property now which is a shame. Sellers, Do your research! You're potentially missing out on buyers because they can’t even be bothered to speak on the phone, show an interest or thank you for enquiring! Flabbergasted!

Neville and Neville sold my property for full asking price which i was extremely pleased with. I found them to be very communitive and proffessional throughout the process despite some issues our buyer had. Having since purchased land sourced through Neville and Neville i have been thoroughly impressed with Thomas and his teams knowledge on how to go about making the most of the land and understanding which direction to take when it comes to planning. Lovely to meet a team that thinks outside of the box rather than the usual patter in this environment. Pleasant experience and wholly recommended.

I also would give this company no stars if I could.
I saw a piece of land in Ticehurst go on the market and immediately e-mailed the agent for an appointment. No Response! I then telephoned and as no-one answered left a message. No Response! I then rang again. No Response!
I then saw that the land went sold STC.
I am a cash buyer and had informed in my mail and calls this fact. I wonder if the seller knew that another very keen buyer was interested in the land and in a good position to move forward. It seems very odd that such little care should have been taken. I absolutely do not recommend buying or selling with this company!

If I could rate 0 stars I would.
We viewed a property with Neville & Neville back in April, we made some further enquires two days later with Thomas who said he would pass to the vendor after numerous phone calls and over a week later we were still none the wiser that the property had actually gone under offer the day after we viewed it. We found this out through a different contact who apologised that we were not informed.
The property fell through and we were told that the current buyers had 10 days to resolve the chain. The chain didn’t resolve and so we were able to make an offer which was accepted. We have completed all surveys, search’s and questions and were hoping to have an exchange date set. Sadly the chain broke below us. Our agent notifies Neville & Neville on Monday of the situation, and today I received a phone call from our solicitors confused stating that the house was no longer proceeding.
I contacted Thomas Neville to be told that the vendor had obviously decided to go with another person. I was told that the vendor asked about a back up buyer and that after exploring the chain they had obviously made the decision to change.
At no point we’re we even notified that on Monday when the vendor was told that about the chain breaking they wanted to reconsider buyers, we were not asked if we had any means of completing the chain or if we could be cash buyers instead we were completely blindsided by Thomas and are left VERY out of pocket and heartbroken.
This estate agents is horrific and if you can avoid you should. Many of people have said this along the way but sadly we had to find out the hard way. They have even tried to say that our selling agent is the one to blame for putting together a bad chain, Thomas has obviously forgotten that this very same property has fallen through twice!
We do however want to mention the incredible Adele who has always been polite and genuine. Thank you Adele for always being so considerate!

David Foley and Thomas Neville sold our converted barn in Etchingham and did a very good job. We always felt that they were very thorough, professional and considerate. The marketing information, including amazing photos was well researched and attractive.
We were also buying our next home through David and Thomas until the sale fell through due to a difficult vendor and a problem with undervalue. F&N handled the situation well in spite of abuse from the vendor.
