We’ve sold houses before and used a few local estate agents. As this was our home of 40 years I did a bit of research and found Northwood.
Nicola came to value our home, explaining why she had arrived at the amount. Her explanation during viewings of our locality and the services available within walking distance was second to non. Even though we’d lived there many years, I was complacent about how central we were to schools/ shops/ doctors etc
We were lucky to sell fairly quickly and can’t thank Nicola enough for her enthusiasm and positive outlook.
But this isn’t where the process ends…..
Karen is the SuperStar behind the scenes, making sure our sale didn’t just “drag on” unnecessarily and always kept her promise to inform us of any updates (never done before with previous agents) Karon did her best to alleviate the stress of moving house, ensuring it progressed as smoothly as possible.

Wow where do I start! Myself and my daughter started this year on the landlord journey looking to buy houses in the local area that were run down and bring them back to life for years to come. I’m a keen DIYer but had little knowledge of the buy to let world. Mel at Northwood has made this journey a breeze guiding me through the ups and downs and educating me through 3 house sales and completing the process by taking them all back on the guaranteed rent scheme. Which I never knew existed. Nothing is too much trouble and we have managed to work well as a team to build our portfolio with the low stress guaranteed rent. The entire team has been the most helpful, always picked up the phone and updated us at every step of the process, they were also really good and efficient to coordinate the sale between solicitors and chase buyer when it was needed.

I do therefore recognise and very much appreciate how fantastic the service has been and has continued to be from this office. I have mainly dealt with Melanie and Nicola for my lettings and they truly have been superb, friendly, professional, helpful, thorough, always keen to to their very best and ultra efficient. I have recommended them to other landlords and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They found me lovely tenants who needed a quick turnaround and they were even faster than I could ever have hoped and I feel went above and beyond to help not only me but my tenants too. Before you instruct any agent (particularly if you have been with the same agent for a while) check their fees against Northwood as you may be surprised to see how much you can save on fees. Low fees and great service is what us landlords want after all. Melanie and Nicola are an absolute credit to their company as are all the staff members I have dealt WITH. Where do I start, we was put in touch with this estate agencie via our solicitor at foys located at Worksop. From our first phone call to them we instantly was impressed with there customer service, they listened to us and added us to their books. We set the ball rolling and progressed through different stages of selling our home nothing was to much trouble for the Hatfield team at Doncaster. We had Mel Lucy &Nicola all doing their Own part to help us have a stress free sale. We was also introduced to Karen at the main Doncaster branch who again was with us every step of the way. Now having said this these guys went above and beyond for us when we got our conveyancing solicitors involved let's just say things declined a lot through absolutely no fault of Northwoods, they absolutely smashed it out of the park with their support, professional experience, and a caring team towards their clients. Our case was a little more stressfull than your general run of the mill sale and it's been one hell of a rollercoaster journey but we knew we could call these guys at any time and they was always very very supportive not just to us but to the buyers aswell. We cannot recommend this firm enough they are absolutely the best around the Doncaster area. We went in being clients but came out being friends. So Northwoods estate agents at Hatfield, and Doncaster main branch on behalf of myself and my husband we would like to say a very very big thank you to each and every member of your team especially Mel, Lucy ,Nicola & the lovely Karen who at the end of the journey was very very comforting when things didn't seem as though they was ever going to be completed. We've dealt with Melanie at the Hatfield branch previously when we sold our old house and received wonderful service so it made perfect sense to go back to her when we needed to arrange a mortgage. As we expected she didn't let us down, listening to us to understand our needs then advising us on the different options available to us before finding us a fantastic deal to allow us to purchase our new home. Not only is Melanie a lovely person who genuinely seems to care about her clients, but she is also the ultimate professional, making sure every is done correctly and submitted on time to ensure minimal fuss and delays. Melanie and the whole team at Northwood were very helpful and professional from start to finish. We had tried to sell our home previously through another local estate agent but with no success. Melanie, Louise and Alex were extremely helpful from the beginning making sure we were informed every step of the way and really helping to push the sale/purchase through. Within a matter of days our property was sold and we were on the path to finally moving into our lovely new home. We sorted our mortgage directly through Melanie who gave us excellent independent advice, talked us through a range of options and ultimately got us the best deal possible.
