I called Ocean Residential on Thursday the 11th around 10:55 to ask for the price of a property with their “For Sale” sign. The young woman who answered was extremely unfriendly and unresponsive. When I said, “Good morning, I’d like to know the price of a flat you have on offer, I’m standing right in front of it,” she said nothing at all. I thought the call had been disconnected. After I said “Hello?” again, she finally replied in an annoyed, bored tone, saying something like “I need to check.” The logical thing would have been to ask where the property was located or at least say “One moment please.” I have no idea what her problem was. By the way, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a negative experience with them.

I loved living in this flat in Southend and only moved out of Essex due to a change in work.

I was a little skeptical at first about using an agency to rent out my property, as I’ve always been worried about hidden fees and unnecessary hassle. But from start to finish, the process with Ocean Residential was absolutely fantastic. There were no hidden fees whatsoever, everything was transparent, and the whole experience was stress free.

Me and my wife tried to apply for rent but we ended been accused for fake papers after we provided personal bank statements and personal details, pathetic way to say no to other nationalities. We work for some of the biggest companies in UK who provided real references but not good enough for this agency. Avoid this agency!!!..Nop, is not a new account we just want to show how your lies and actions impact our lives. This are totally honest reviews and we can prove that by official papers.

Abusive requests, impossible conditions . Super credit score, bank statements payslip, employment reference but still rejected after a long delay. I do not recommend this agency, avoid if possible.
You just can't accept other nationalities and blame as for your bad checking, if you want the true why you're not paying for a professional company to do that?

Worst experience ever, they ignored official papers from employer delaying the whole process, asking an enormous number of papers, bank statements, payslips, contract of employment.....I'm sick and tired of abusive requests and everything ended with rejection. I will avoid that agency always. They made me feel discriminated. Your reply is sad, honestly saying is fake, you just not accept other nationality, that's the reality!

Awful agency, take on landlords that have a particular interest in what country tenants are from. I have never experienced such discrimination from a letting agency. Maybe they should rethink the properties they take on. Think twice about enquiring.

Terrible..checks go.through fine..Once your in the property nothing done.
Very high rent. Very damp.property, broken window catches in 2 rooms, shower door broken despite promises remained like it for over 3 months until an injury occurred. Cooker stopped working, nearly 3 weeks to send someone out. The list is endless.
When u do move out you have to go through tenany deposit scheme to get money back. Which I did, and won as property left cleaner than when moved in.

This estate agents, are piss poor, being try to view a property for over two week’s, keep telling me there going to get back to me but never have, excuse’s after excuse’s, the place has been on the market for a while, even reduced in price, but still nothing, also got my partner to call, and they said someone was interested, which is lie’s as they have told me everytime that’s it’s still available, do not turst this estate agents…..

I had the pleasure of being a client of Ocean Residential for the past 10 years, acting as Managing Agents for a property I owned.
The property Westcliff on Sea was in a highly sorted area close to the seafront, and I chose a local Estate Agent nearby who knew the area and what type of possible tenants I would likely receive.
I chose Ocean Residential primarily because I felt they would keep an eye on my property in the same way that I would manage it myself but with their being a barrier in between the tenants and landlord. They acted as a barrier in between phone calls in the middle of the night should there be a problem.
Before every single tenancy, Ocean Residential took a checklist of items what were in the property listing the status of
As a landlord, Ocean Residential carefully vetted potential tenants over a decade, so that we were exposed to very little risk, through damage or disruption from non-payment. None of our tenants caused any issue whatsoever because of this.
I had a plethora of tenants come forward to stay in our property, from newly divorced to a young couple with pets and on each occasion, we trusted the judgement of Ocean Residential to find us suitable tenants.
They would check on our property with routine 3-month inspections, finding anything that might be wrong with the property and alerting us to facilitate a possible fix if there were issues.
When I moved overseas, Ocean Residential would move get out of their comfort zone and make additional arrangements to stay in contact me with WhatsApp messages and conversations, enabling the service to our tenants to remain unaffected.
Along with inspections occurring periodically, Ocean Residential maintained consistent rental payments, none were ever late, and each was for the correct amount each time.
The property was that good that our last tenants eventually purchased the property, enabling us to move with our own lives.

Extremely shameful and disappointing. Called to ask for property to rent at desired area. The agent replied rudely that they dont have any thing available at the moment and hung up the phone, beofre I could ask him for alternative locations or ask him to take my details and inform if there are any properties available in future. Never had such experience with any other.

Ocean have directly assisted in my relocation on numerous occasions, and I couldn't be happier with how they have handled everything. I needed a property that would allow me to be near a train station for my commute, and even when I've needed to look for a larger property space they've hit the nail on the head.
Zaheen Buta and Riff are wonderful, honest characters. You can always go into the office for a chat, and no matter how busy they are, they'll find time for you.
