Dreadful experience from the property team when looking to purchase a property. After being asked lots of questions to ascertain my position and me asking about notes of interest etc they booked me an appointment to view. On the evening before the viewing informed me the property was under offer after being on Rightmove for 3 days!!! If I had furnished with proper information in the beginning we would have had time to make an offer

Eddie was very professional in helping my parents set it their wishes in their Will and PoA.
We actually went around the houses and checked through lots of other options and in the end settled on exactly what he'd first recommended.
I'm glad we did the due diligence (checking other options) but it also shows that his recommendations were spot on the first time round.

WORST SOLICITORS I HAVE HEARD OF!
Moving day...Paris Steele were radio silent to all other solicitors involved in the chain of 6 other house sales for the entirety of deadline day. It gets to 4.30 pm and finally contact was made, and it was confirmed that we wouldn't, in fact be moving due to a massive oversight on their part. I have no idea how on earth a progression of buying a house was allowed to go to the moving day without fundamental parts in place.... and the most basic of things to confirm prior to any purchase of a property, to quote Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire, SHOW ME THE MONEY! Or in this case, not!
Moving day take 2...AGAIN, Paris Steele provide little to no information to all other solicitors in the chain and then it was confirmed by 4.57 pm that another fundamental part wasn't even in place!!! So strike 2!
Tomorrow is yet another go at the process with 4 households having their lives' packed away inside various removal vans, ready to move. So much money wasted because Paris Steele didn't have a purchase ready to proceed on their own given date and refused to engage/communicate to try to resolve the matter by postponing and letting everyone else get sorted too. I mean, you're a law firm trying to complete on the sale of a couples first ever home together and you switch off your phones! Bravo!
Folks, if carlsberg did solicitors, then... Well, need I say more?

I don’t use a solicitor often , therefore my experience may well be typical of all solicitors .
The receptionists are very friendly and easy to deal with as are the Paralegal and lawyers .
If I wanted to speak to the lawyer an appointment had to be made no matter how minor the question. Again this may be normal .
When the lawyer did contact me she was very helpful and reassuring, the problem then was dealt with .
On the house sales business they were very helpful and enthusiastic. There percentage and fee was reasonable and competitive too .
Would I use them again ? Yes

It really felt like we were being looked after through the the whole process and what was a stressful time with everything else to deal with, this major part was done with ease. Fraser & Tracy from the Dunbar office were very helpful on selling my house. We encountered quite a few problems with the time scale involved (I was moving to the United States) and had my flights already booked. From the very start to the end everything was no bother and explained very clearly by the whole team. I didn't know much about moving and selling so I asked many questions which where all answered so I felt calmer about the whole process!
