What can I say about Gethin? He’s a superstar! Squished in viewings back to back for us on short notice, sounded us out to hear what we wanted and found 3 properties that met our requirements. The most terrible experience from the beginning with Peter Alan Rumney. None of the staff had a clue what was going on at any point, clueless during the sales process, didn’t ever follow up, were rude, unhelpful and didn’t even know we were completing on the day I dropped in the keys. From day 1 I said I was using my own solicitors, not their in house ones and even on the week of exchange, they were still calling asking if I was going with them. DO NOT USE THEM. Buying/selling a house is stressful enough, these guys will only make your stress levels higher. Awful service.

Sold my house with Niall who oversaw viewings and Melanie who saw it through to completion. Though it was sometimes difficult to get hold of people if they were in meetings, out at viewings etc. (fair enough) there was always someone on the phone and I was able to leave a message (usually with Lottie or Jack who were both very helpful). All in all, they got my viewings in quickly, and got my house in Pontprennau sold within 9 days of being on the market. Everything went through smoothly, so I think they hand-held my first time buyer a bit through conveyancing, which really helped things along. All in all, I can't fault them, they were very good.

Poor service
We regret choosing Peter Alan to sell our house because their communication has been poor.
We have a buyer, a price has been agreed, but Peter Alan are not letting us know the latest.
We've been told that checks on our house have been completed, and we've been told the opposite. When we pressed them, the response was that they would call us back. They haven't done so, despite us calling again.
Moving house isn't a barrel of laughs at the best of times, but their inability to provide us with updates is making things worse. We are currently unaware whether we have a buyer or not, which could jeopardise our own purchase.
Shame - all it would take would be a few simple phone calls.

So having inherited a house through a family member who passed away. I was overwhelmed with what I needed to do, I had many estate agents contacting me telling me what I need to do but didn't know what path to take. I made a few calls myself and found my self with lottie who from the start was so caring with my situation and very understanding. I didn't feel pressured or pushed into making a decision it felt so natural. I finally put my house up for sale with all the advice I had and within 4 weeks had a offer accepted. I've been constantly updated by lottie by phone and by text evan little updates makes the process alot easier to understand. We are now at the final stages of competing and I can not say that I would of made it with out her. I feel the whole experience with lottie has been so relaxing and stress free and I can not thank her enough.

I would not recommend using this service if you're looking to sell your house quickly. My experience was frustrating and disappointing. The process was much slower than expected, with no sense of urgency. The marketing strategy seemed ineffective, and it felt like my property was just another listing with no special attention given. If you're on a tight timeline or need to move fast, I suggest looking elsewhere for a more proactive and responsive service.

Communication was awful. Very often it was impossible to get hold of them on the phone. There were multiple instances of my wife and I calling their office more than 10 times in a day and nobody answered.

Very poor experience around booking in for a valuation. An appointment was booked in for last week on a provisional basis by estate agent but then told it was not happening on the day by email. I did reply to same email to check they had the correct mobile contact number but no response to this. A postponed appointment was then offered for a week later- I agreed and moved some work meetings around to accommodate it. On the day of the appointment (Friday), I emailed and phoned the relevant office several times throughout the morning (correct number as confirmed online and by answering phone message) but no response to confirmation of time of appointment or whether any would even be turning up. Surprisingly disappointing experience- not one I’ve ever had with estate agents before- especially with sales for prospective client. Bizarre.

I have always been a sceptic about how estate agents do business, whether it be asking unreasonable sums of money for standard services, charging too much for listing photographs or simply palming off responsibility to solicitors… but I have experienced quite the contrary with all members of staff involved at Peter alan Rumney. Everyone involved in the process have been superb in supporting me and my family with the sale of our home, being at hand to assist with many queries at the drop of a hat, I couldn’t recommend them any more highly.

I used Peter Alan (PA) Black services to sell my property.
I cannot recommend and thank the team enough. Throughout the whole process they have been professional, informative, helpful, and the best estate agents I have worked with. I would not work with any other agent. Due to personal reasons we had to move fast, and they got the property onto market within a couple of working days with viewings lined up straight away. We were under offer within the week.
At this time, we were introduced to Melanie who is the real asset at Peter Alan. She stayed in touch throughout the whole conveyancing, dealt with every query immediately, kept me informed constantly and liaised with the whole chain & solicitors to get us to exchange. Without Melanie I don’t think we would have been able to progress as fast as we did.
The whole team in the Rumney branch are amazing. Massive thank you to David, Bernie, Robyn & Angela. Also, Robyn, does the best house viewings. She showed buyers around our house and honestly, she was a true seller! She made sure she fully understood the home before the viewings started and she pointed out every feature of the house. I've been to viewings before, and the agents don’t even know the house they are selling but Robyn was just a superstar!

I called up wanting to view a house that had just come on the market, I originally spoke to Angela who was very professional and helpful. Angela put me in touch with Stacey the mortgage advisor which was great as I had no idea how much I could borrow! It was alot more than I originally anticipated. Stacey was very friendly but very professional at the same time.

Great service received by nicola and the team at Peter Alan, Rumney. Friendly and patient helping us find the right property letting us view so many until we found the right one. Special thanks to Angela who had the thankless task of showing us around so many proprties and for being so honest it was a breath of fresh air.
The team did everything they could to answer any questions we had and communication was great. The online conveyancing tool was such an effective way of knowing what was happening with the sale and purchase of our properties and the legal team were also great at keeping us up to date.
We did our research before selecting Peter Alan and they didnt disappoint, they know the area so well and really understood our needs.
Would recommend them :)

I can't thank Stacey from Peter Alan enough. She's been able to find me an affordable mortgage to make my dream home to come true. Unfortunately, the sale fell through, the mortgage offer ran out and my circumstances changed significantly (it always sees to come in 3s). But nevertheless Stacey could help me in pursuing my dream home again by finding another mortgage offer despite the changed circumstances and it was all agreed just before Christmas. This was the best Christmas present ever! If she hadn't been so passionate, I would've never been able to move. Therefore, I can't thank her enough for her engagement and support.

i have recently purchased a property in Rumney where Peter Alan where acting for the vendor, from the initial viewing with Jane of the property to completion Peter Alan have been amazing, the viewing and sales process was really relaxed with no pressure. once nearing completion there was issues at the bottom of the chain, Rebecca and Nicola form the sales progression team went above and beyond to help rectify other peoples errors and played a massive part in getting the sale to completion, i cant thank them enough and would highly recommend the team at the Peter Alan office in Rumney. thanks all.
