
Instructed Peter Heron to market by 2 bed apartment. Initially there were very few viewings and when I rang to query this I was told that I had it on the market at too high a price and asked if I wanted to reduce the asking price! At this point in time my property had only been on the market for less than a month!!
I persevered and after a couple of months did reduce the asking price but still not much interest.
The final straw was them marketing the flat next door to me in the same block for £10k less than my property. No courtesy heads up on this, and when I expressed my unhappiness they weren't interested, so I gave notice to remove my property from the market. I did look into whether this was a conflict of interests and apparently it can be viewed as such.
Amazingly I started getting viewings, but these viewers were also viewing the lower priced neighbouring flat. Problem now was the inability of Peter Heron to obtain any feedback from these viewers except for a small minority, despite Peter Heron staff actually providing accompanied viewings for these viewers.
That flat has now sold as it was reduced by a further £10k (landlord owned so able to take a lower price) so I assume they were able to gather feedback successfully for that property, and annoyingly when I went to retrieve my keys from them and mentioned that it was impossible to sell my flat with such a big price difference they were again uninterested and didn't even tell me that the neighbouring flat had been sold that day.

Found both staff in office and gentleman who came to value property both professional and friendly providing me with a clear and accurate valuation.
Marketing was great - loved the photos !
I was kept up to date on process throughout and could log on to see where we were at anytime if outside of office hours.

We booked Peter Heron to come out and do a valuation on our home. On the day they were supposed to come out they called to check they didn’t have our estimate written down wrong as we’d be lucky to get £115000 for our house. The guy on the phone seemed like he didn’t want to come out to value our home and basically cancelled the appointment at short notice using this as an excuse despite us explaining the increase in price from what we paid being due to a lot of work being done to the property. He claimed he’d be the first to apologise if we got more than £115 000 for our home despite not seeing it.
We just completed our sale for £135 000.
So use them if you aren’t bothered about an extra £20 000 I guess. We certainly never will and nor will our families who also own numerous rental properties in addition to their own homes. A very short cited business view for the sake of a valuation wasn’t it? We’re waiting on that apology.... Read more
