Red Lodge Lettings is second to none.
They’ve helped me and my family find a rental, and I can honestly say they went above and beyond in every way. Being an independent owned business, they truly care about the people they work with, and it shows. They made the whole process smooth, supportive, and stress-free. I can’t say enough good things about them — they are absolutely out of this world.

As a military spouse, I expected a safe and respectful home for my family, but our experience with Lodge Lettings was very disappointing. They showed little care or support, making what should be a stable place feel stressful and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, especially military families.

Warning to future tenants — especially military service members:
Many of us in the military who arrive in England are, understandably, far from home. We’re searching for a place where our families can feel safe, where we can enjoy a stable and secure environment while we handle the demands of our careers. Lodge Lettings is not that place. I’m not sharing this to start a debate, but because I feel a responsibility to alert my fellow service members and prevent others from making the same mistake I did.
I strongly urge caution before renting from Lodge Lettings. My experience as a tenant was deeply disappointing, marked by a complete lack of commitment to the safety, well-being, and dignity of my family.
For nearly six months, we dealt with a major structural issue that rendered one of the bathrooms unusable. The damage eventually reached my bedroom, making the space virtually unlivable. The apartment had two rooms, but one of them didn’t even provide enough space to comfortably fit my bed, drawers, and hygiene essentials. Despite this, Lodge Lettings offered no alternative accommodation and showed no effort to ease the situation for me or my wife.
To make matters worse, they decided to begin the repairs during the final month of my lease — while I was still living in the property. Had I accepted, we would have had to move our belongings, including the bed, into the living room without any compensation or logistical support. This was not only unreasonable but also inconsiderate and unsafe.
It’s important to note that discussions about these repairs had started the previous year, and I had never expressed any intention to renew the lease. My goal was always to leave once the contract ended. On April 11, I submitted a written notice confirming I would not be renewing. However, due to a contractual clause, I was forced to pay an additional (13th) month’s rent, even though I had already secured a new home. Ironically, that extra month was used to finally carry out the repairs that had been delayed for nearly half a year.
To top it off, when I returned to do the final cleaning — after paying the extra month — I was told I had to complete the cleaning that same day, because they planned to resume repairs the following day, despite the fact that I still had full legal access and rights to the apartment for the entirety of that paid 13th month.
This entire experience reflects a severe lack of professionalism, responsibility, and empathy from Lodge Lettings. They showed no consideration for the safety or comfort of my family. I do not recommend them under any circumstance.

DO NOT rent from Lodge Lettings unless you are okay with them keeping your deposit at the end. They will do you no favors and try to pin anything on you. They tried to bill me for the plumber to fix the heater once. The same heater that would go out 3 or 5 times per winter I was there. When notified that the heat was out they had no sense of urgency and I'd go days without heat.
The also tried to raise rent because they heard that OHA was increasing before housing even knew. Which I think is such a scam.
The movers did a little bit of damage while working and told Lodge Lettings directly that they would work with them directly to fix it. However Lodge Lettings refused that and went after my deposit so then I'd have to work with the movers. They will do you no favors or use common sense.
I left the house (in my opinion) spotless and regardless it was way cleaner than when I moved in. But because of a few spots they changed a cleaning fee. They also claimed "smoke damage" in the corners along with the entrance needing mopped again, but I know it was left clean. So maybe they tracked in the mess.
In conclusion, they are not the worst I have heard of but there are far better landlords in the area.

A fantastic team of professionals who have been wonderful to deal with both in the search for a property and as a tenant in one of their managed properties. Took a day off to go see a property and they didn't show up to the appointment, and I was told they had let the property and didn't bother to let me know. It's a huge waste of time, avoid them.
