I’ve had a fantastic experience so far renting through Nathan and Bianca. From the first viewing right through to securing the property, they have been professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful.
Communication has been excellent throughout — they’ve kept me updated at every stage and responded quickly to any questions. They’ve made the whole process feel clear, straightforward, and far less stressful than I expected.

Found Richmonds to be very unprofessional and Nathan to be particularly rude. Trouble is when you are randomly rude to someone, as a business, you should just say nothing. You never know who you are being rude to and what they can bring to your business, or take to someone else's.

Drove over an hour to a property yesterday, was a no show, we even arrived early and after just under a hour of trying to call you still no one showed up, tried ringing the door and heard someone at the door, sounded like tenants but ended up ignoring us too. So we ended up leaving around 50ish mins after the appointment was meant to start. Before you say I am a bot or making up stuff like all your other reply’s to your negative reviews, I think it’s silly and childish really to try make out any negative reviews is a bot or spam and all the other excuses you come up with. Defiantly do not work with them.

COMPLAINT RAISED WITH THE PROPERTY OMBUDSMAN.
"Further to previous correspondence regarding your complaint held with us, please be advised that, due to the continued HIGH LEVELS of demand for our service, there will be a delay in you receiving a response to your submission."
Poor level of service provided to the vendor (whose in care) and myself as the buyer which nearly scuppered the purchase. Lack of honesty and transparency from the owner of Richmonds when investigating the initial complaint was also very disappointing. Will provide a further update once the Ombudsman has completed their investigation. If you're a vendor though I certainly wouldn't be recommending this company to act in your best interests.
Addendum - 01.11.24
If you're going to respond to my review an element of truth would be helpful to those who read it. My complaint was to the Property Ombudsman not the Court of Protection, who deemed it my word versus yours. Readers can make up their own mind regarding that and no solicitors were involved other than during the transaction itself. I won't be purchasing another property through Richmonds Property and certainly won't be selling one through it either. Caveat emptor.

Turned up late and didn't have the key so couldnt even see inside the property, wasted an hour of my time for nothing. Edit: The below comment from richmonds is ridiculous, I had a viewing at 4.30pm at the foxgloves hedge end and Mark turned up without the key wasting my time and now you're calling me fake and fraudulent. I'd whole heartedly suggest going to any other real estate agency as this company is unprofessional and rude.

Had a viewing booked but no one turned up. Phoned to see what was happening to be told there was no viewing planned. Further investigation confirmed there was a booking, but it had been cancelled by them. They were too busy to inform me of the cancellation.

Richmonds and especially Nathan McCathy went above and beyond in assisting my mother with her house move. I have used Nathan before 13 years ago for my house move and went through him for the purchase of my mother's new home in Hedge End.
Thing's went so bad with the estate agent mum was using to sell her old home in Romsey that we had to utilise Nathan to facilitate everything through him as my mother was suffering from a life threatening illness, and the stress caused by that other agent was making things worse. Nathan stepped in and sorted out all the problems every step of the way and we cannot thank him enough! I can't praise him or the company enough for all they have done and would highly recommend them. Thanks Nathan ????

I have used Richmonds for approximately 10 years now and have sold and purchased numerous properties with them.
I have always found them professional, responsive when raising questions and fair with their pricing and valuations.
Unlike many estate agents, richmonds provide weekend and out of hours contact providing mobile numbers for their agents which is perfect if you work typical office hours and need to contact them when it’s convenient for you.
Simply put I wouldn’t trust any other estate agent within SO30 and surrounding areas to provide the same services.

I don't recommend this agency. As a professional couple we had hope the Richmond's agency help us to find our first property. New difficulties arose almost from the beginning. Our agent from Richmond's didn't sent e-mail or messages on time, which he promised to sent. Situation was the same with telephones calls, I had to remind him about everything myself and still asking for contact. He didn't even wrote down our personal details, incomes, jobs etc. He asked about this three times throughout our contact periods. When we start process with application to rent a house, he declared to us, that our incomes didn't meet agency requirements. Fortunately, we didn't pay any application fees yet.
What's more now we are in process to rent a house from other agency, with the same price of rent like previously in Richmond's, and there is no problem, our income is adequate !
So I have bad experience with Richmond's, the agency is really unprofessional.

We are about to relocate from North Devon to Hedge End to be near our family and registered with them in our search. Although not actually finding "the " property for us sadly we have had several viewings and visits in our search and Bens help, time and patience was brilliant. Richmonds are not our estate agents we are buying a house through them.
We have had multiple problems with the sale of our house. We've also had problems being able to speak to our estate agents and conveyancers.
Kevin has been absolutely brilliant. He has been the only person who has contacted us regularly throughout the whole process to touch base and inform us of what's happening in the chain.
When we've had problems he has chased our estate agents and conveyancers for us.
He has also given us help and support and hes not our estate agent! He even phoned to congratulate us on exchanging contracts before our estate agent. Kevin has gone above and beyond in helping us.We now wish we had put our house on the market with Richmonds..
I would highly recommend Richmonds to everyone. I doubt there are many estate agents who are so committed to selling your house that they would be so helpful to your buysers.

I have bought and sold in separate transactions through Richmonds, and throughout both they were incredibly professional and efficient.
In 2015 I sold my house with another agent in Hedge End (with a orange and blue sign), and was buying a property through Richmonds. I had an awful experience with the other agent, who were disorganised, rude and rarely chased or gave me updates. Each week Kevin at Richmonds chased through the sale of my property (which dragged on for five months), instead of my lazy agent, and without his sterling efforts I would have lost the property I was buying.
So this year when I came to sell my property, there was no question of which agent I would use. Ben at Richmonds negotiated a sale within a week, and the transaction went through quickly and smoothly, with the usual weekly chase ups and update call from Kevin.
The valuation was accurate, and fees reasonable. They certainly work for their money, unlike the other agent I mistakenly used first!
First class service; they have restored my faith in estate agents.

We have previously experienced using other local estate agents to sell our property, but to no avail,Richmonds sold our house within 3 weeks. From first communication up until now we have been updated on the progress of our sale, they have a dedicated member of staff who chases the other solicitors and estate agents within your complete chain to move the process on, and I also received phone calls from Richmonds to check I have sent my paperwork off to the solicitor. The staff all are polite arrive very smartly in suits giving a good impression but more important the staff had previously visited to know the property they were selling.
We have moved ten times and Richmonds are by far the most professional in my opinion and also having the experience with them I can verify the above statement.
I hope they keep saturating the area as they are doing with their selling boards.

We recently put our house on the market with Richmonds. They were professional and proactive. Ben kept us fully informed regarding each prospective purchaser and contact with the rest of the team was always friendly and efficient.
We did ask another local agent to value the property and they didn't even bother to follow up the meeting so we felt that their passive approach was not going to help us sell our property.
Unfortunately circumstances beyond our control meant that we had to withdraw the property from the market. Again Richmonds were very understanding and courteous. I would have no hesitation in employing their services in future.

Probably the last Estate Agent I would use in Hedge End. Often posts junk though my letterbox saying they have a genuine buyer looking for a property in my street, a technique that is trying to drive the market and encourage otherwise contented people to sell. It is very annoying and Richmonds are the only local agent who stoop low enough do this. They have also let a neighbouring property to people who they clearly didn't vet well enough...
