To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement! Roger Platt ‘poached’ me from another estate agent, claiming they would do a far superior job in selling my house. They did even worse. No communication week by week!! When I complained that they hadn’t found a single suitable person; they ‘magicked up’ a viewer whose story was so full of holes I believe it was a ‘mate’ asked to pretend. No due diligence was carried out as to the suitability of this person ( who was supposedly an employee of the person who couldn’t make the viewing!! )
When I complained they released me immediately from the contract…and my house sold in 12 days with 4 suitable offers once I found an estate agent who actually did some work for their fee!!

They did a drop of a load of flyers in our area, and this particular estate agent decided to leap over our garden, kicking our plants in the process, all because he couldn’t be bothered to walk the two steps to go around. My first review was based on valuation appointments only, but now that I have actually trusted my sale to this team, I must update my review as I would absolutely not recommend them.
The agents are great at making a brilliant and trustworthy impression but as soon as I had signed the contract, I had immense trouble getting hold of my agent. I was pushed into lowering my price (from their own evaluation) after only 1 week of being on the market with 1 interested party while having had other potential interests informing me that they had trouble getting hold of a viewing.
I then got stuck with the initial interested party that kept finding excuses to renegotiate the sales price until they just dropped out after 8 months of wasted time and huge bills.
It was an absolute nightmare even after escalating the issue to the area manager.
I have ended up with the competition and have already been treated better.

Sophie Collard was brilliant however I came across Daniel Applby when I went to speak to their mortgage advisor recently. I felt Daniel was trying to convince me too much that he is capable. He was in his "first time buyer" mode and failed to understand my requirements, failing to ensure crm record integrity is maintained. Lastly he was adamant on trivial information not required at this stage and refused to proceed further. I felt that was silly and childish. This was probably because I am a lifetime member and don't need to pay a £600 member fee. I have gone full mortgage application without that triviality when worked with Sophie. It was a waste of my time honestly. Sequence and Roger Platt, please escalate this to Sequence regional management.

When we decided to sell the family home and with little or no experience of selling a house, we were recommended Perry at RogerPlatt (Lower Earley). Much time was taken to discuss options and the property was marketed and sold via the modern auction method. Whilst it did not quite reach our minimum expected price (perhaps we over-valued it?), negotiations led to a successful outcome, a price close to our reserve and the exchange of contracts within 56 days. We were provided with an account online to monitor interest in the house and viewings and Perry (and others at RP) kept us informed of progress. The family are very pleased with the service provided by RP and would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell a property.

This review is solely for a viewing we conducted for a house in Lower Earley a few weeks ago which we didn't end up making an offer for.
However the level of service, knowledge and expertise we experienced in that 15-20mins by Assistant Manager *AERON WESTON* blew us away in comparison to the 5 previous viewings that day by 4 different local estate agencies!
Although the house didn't meet just one of our requirements, me and my wife were talking about the house and Aeron's expertise and honestly all the way back home and trying to convince ourselves why we shouldn't make an offer for the property as we were sure bought into him!!
We hope all our 20+ viewings had professionals like Aeron hosting. His knowledge of the area, his honesty, his enthusiasm, his life experiences in purchasing/moving, his level of background research on the property prior to the viewing were the best we experienced!
Take note all other agencies sending out unenthusiastic, unknowledgeable, fresh school-levers to the slaughter to help convince potential buyers in making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives!!!

We have met a few problems on selling the house due to certain reasons (Covid restrictions, Delays possibly due to pandemic, etc) but the agents were very helpful with sorting the sale out as soon as possible with our own preference of prize & timeline. We did meet more problems (Buyer Side) but the agents promised to work with the solicitors to fix it asap and were successful in doing so. I used Roger Platt in Lower Earley at the end of 2018 and I must say that having used numerous Estate Agents in the area, they were by far the best. Mark and Perry were very knowledgeable about the area and pricing in the area and once Mark had agreed the sale price, Alison was superb in the sales progression and we had exchanged within 9 weeks of the sale date.

The staff at Roger Platt were brilliant from the moment Mark came round to give us a valuation to the day we moved. Perry and Aeron kept us updated on any viewings we had and also gave us regular feedback. Once we had sold the property Alison was brilliant at guiding us through the whole scary process and keeping us informed of what was happening, not only with our property but also what was happening with the rest of the chain, which is more than the estate agent we were buying through did! We loved the fact that we could just pop into Roger Platts office and speak face to face about sale and the whole team were always friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble. First class service from a first class team.

i would not recommend this agency. having booked a valuation for 5pm today, they called to reschedule to 5.30. when i arrived at the agreed time i was advised that not only had the agent called and left at 5.10, but that it was a different name to the one confirmed by text. very unprofessional. despite having my mobile number, they decided to contact me by my home number to change the time again. i will not be using this agent in future, to sell from my portfolio.
