I had lots of issues with SmoothMove when buying my house. I won't go into lots of detail, but I was constantly having to chase, and they promised callback after callback, even at specific times, and never got back to me. Full of empty promises.
I am now looking to sell, and thought I'd give them another chance as this was 5 years ago. I requested a valuation over a week ago, and they still haven't replied to an email or phone call. I made the request through their website.
Seems some things never change. Unless you want to chase an estate agent daily where it seems like they get a buzz out of not replying, I'd stay well clear.

Had to call them 3 times to get a viewing confirmation for a house on Holbeck, Astley (to the vendors, no wonder your house is not sold yet ????). Jack really has no customer service skills, and incompetent. On 3rd call asked to speak to a branch manager. One of the owner, Corrine called and did not want to listen, interrupted, and asked me what do you want me to do about Jack, mistakes can happen, fire him? lol. If Corrine as a business owner has no customer service skills, why would Jack have any? Possibly the worst business owner, i came cross, don't have the ability to listen to a customer and take feedback to improve her business. Kept asking me what else do you want, i have staff off sick, on grievance started complaining, raising her voice like she was having a some sort of tantrum. If you're not well, don't call a customer, may be have someone else do it. Anyhow, don't recommend them, if trying to book a viewing is like this, imagine trying to complete a sale with them. Big nightmare avoided, ended up telling Corrine, forget about it, cancel the viewing.

Agent incapable of booking a viewing. One of the owner, doesnt know how to listen and take feedback from a customer and try to improve her business. Possibly the worst business owner and anyone in customer service I came across. Overall experience was very unpleasant, and they have failed at the easiest stage, arranging a viewing. Imagine, actually trying to complete a sale with them? After being shouted at on the phone by one of the owner, cancelled the whole thing. Put us off from dealing with them, full stop.

Great. From stoke to north Lincolnshire back to stoke. Took care of my stuff all wrapped up multiple times. And the distance as well they covered with ease. He also liked how I was bilingual when I started counting the money in Spanish haha. Tipped them £20 each first time and a tenner each the second time. Not cos they weren’t as good but it was a new house so didn’t want fritter too much money away. Good company and good time keeping too.

Would have been 0 stars if that was a thing. Avoid this EA if you can. They use underhand processes to get you to bid higher once they know your maximum limit. No communication from them once my offer had been placed, found out via internet that the property had been sold to someone else. I would not recommend these people. The guy who did the viewing was lovely, everyone else, nah.

Very poor service, was told we would be in the house by 28/2/2015, so gave our previous landlord a month's notice. Was told on the 24/2/2015 that we hadn't got the property! So we now have nowhere to live thanks to these clowns! They even relieved us of £140, they are absolutely ridiculous!
