I cannot praise Spalding & Co. highly enough following the recent sale of our property and associated land. Initially, we had a survey completed on the house and land, both of which were thorough and followed quickly with detailed written reports. Having had this experience, we decided to also use Spalding & Co. to market the property and I’m very glad we did. The initial photographs were absolutely top class, as were the brochures produced and the advice we received around pricing & strategy to maximise viewings – all of which resulted in a sale over asking price within four days!! Following the sale agreement, the support we received throughout the sale process was again absolutely brilliant, especially given we had some slight chain issues, all of which were communicated, managed and taken care of efficiently. We have had many dealings with Spaldings since 1981 and they are always very professional as well as being straight forward and realistic (unlike some estate agents). Their knowledge of north Norfolk is considerable and we would definitely recommend them if you are looking for an estate agent. Saddened that we got let down by spaldings when trying to buy a new build last year! It was a long and emotional time made worse by our sometimes abrupt and in our opinion dishonest dealings with the co director. We can not say the sale falling through was 100 percent her or their fault, so being honest we know it was also our situations that hindered our purchase, but the fact we know but could not prove (always done via a phone call) the lack of truth that we got told and how much we got put under pressure was immense ! However, we feel that the lack of contact when we needed information to move forward at the last hurdle which resulted in the loss of a house was the fault of Spaldings. Our estate agents had also felt this was very unfair treatment on many occasions but could not do anything to help us. We did not want to kick up a fuss as this was our dream home and that is now our biggest regret ! So we would never recommend Spalding as an estate agent the only saving grace was Josh who was always lovely to speak to and tried his hardest to help but was always waiting on instructions.... They did not market our house as we had another estate agent at the time but trying to purchase from them over the course of a year was an awful experience for us. We had dealings that when we did eventually complain about on the final stages of it falling through, hoping to come to a resolution, but this did not get resolved at all just left being made to feel that all the uncomfortable and rude phonecalls and dealings we had been having, to be false.
