Holly called every week and often gave us more information than we had. All staff I spoke to were highly professional and communication was first class. A special shout out to Annamarie who was really helpful acting as the go between between us the buyer. It seems like he knows the history and details of almost all houses in Whitchurch! This Practice are a strong Local Independent Practice who are highly professional and have a lot of local experience. If your property is out of the ordinary and want to get the best outcome, commission them and not a 'chain' who are more likely to be interested in hitting their Head Office 'targets'.

Not happy about this agency. We rented through them for over three years and we always paid our rent on time and never caused any issues. However when it was time to leave the flat they made up that my housemate owed some money, if that was the case why didn't they address the issue straight away? There was a contract with the amount to be paid and they said that it was not correct, they even made up some emails (we have proof) where they wrote a different amount. How is this allowed when you deal with an agency? Shouldn't there be more control? Also when we were in the flat there was a massive mould issue in the bathroom, I addressed the problem during one of the inspections (they usually did one every six months more or less) and they told me that it's a common issue and nothing could be done. So I had to buy with my own money a dehumidifier to allow us to have a decent and healthier bathroom! They also let us live in the flat without hot water/heating for more than 2 weeks in December 2022, we made the first call to address this on 15th December and they contacted the landlord on 30th December, then it took some more time to change the boiler. It's a shame because at the beginning in 2020 they were very good.

It was a simple decision to pick Thomas H Wood for our recent house sale. We had purchased the same house through them 7 years previously and had a brilliant experience all round (my previous review from that purchase is below). Well, 7 years later and the service they provided was just as good, if not even better still! They did a fantastic job of the brochure, photos, etc, with the result that we had multiple viewings within days, and the house sold incredibly quickly and for a much better price than we had thought possible. They did a great job of managing the situation with our buyers when it was taking us longer than hoped to find somewhere to move to, and we found all the staff to be very reassuring about any concerns we had. They also took the time to offer us very helpful and honest advice concerning the properties we were viewing (even those listed by other agents). Eventually it was Thomas H Wood who found us the perfect property to move to! They were also able to recommend good local tradespeople and removal companies when we needed these at short notice. The whole experience of selling and buying was made very pleasant and stress-free, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thomas H Wood to others.

I recently purchased a property through the Whitchurch branch of Thomas H Wood. I was really impressed with the service I received. All of the staff were pleasant to deal with, easy to contact, and not at all pushy like many other estate agents I've dealt with. Special mention goes to Simon Dews who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He had no problem answering my many questions and requests for additional viewings, surveys, etc. He quite literally went the extra mile for me, personally driving across Cardiff to collect and deliver a spare set of keys when I managed to lock myself out of the house within 10 minutes of arriving... You definitely won't get that service from your average estate agent! I'd like to say a big thank you to Simon and all the team.

Bought a house through Thomas H Wood in November 2022. Office staff and Paul Wood perfectly pleasant. However, I obtained a RICS 3 buildings survey of the property which identified the roof would need replacing and advised to renegotiate purchase price. Paul Wood however disputed the survey report and said it was subjective and that the roof was watertight. He also referenced the vendor's son being a builder and disputing any issue with the roof. Low and behold we have moved in and going into the loft have found it to be leaking.
Paul Wood is at the end of the day a salesman, good if your a vendor but buyers beware!

The rental team were always so super lovely, always responsive and respectful.
When it came to buying a house post Covid the housing market was at an all time high. Viewings alone we’re a battle with other agents.
Thomas H Wood, we’re amazingly calm as if the world hadn’t gone mad.
Simon was patient and honest showing us around which gave us confidence in making a decision to put an offer in, he guided us through the process and the team were super happy for us when the offer was accepted.
A few weeks in our buyer had pulled out but Anna- Marie on the sales progression team was AMAZING!! Calm, reassuring and the vendors stuck with us whilst we found another buyer.
Anna- Marie really helped push things along for us to complete, chasing daily, reassuring us and their vendor resulting in complete confidence and peace of mind.

Tried to view a property but told girls were too busy to book me in and would ring me back, this has happen when I tried to view another property with Thomas woods & yet again no call back. I rang again the following day and once again girls were too busy & would call me back. Didn't get the viewing just find it strange that I can't get to view with them. What can i say, house buying as we all know is a very stressful process but the people at Thomas Wood did everything they could from day 1 to help us out, no matter what the query. A special mention to both Simon and Annamarie both of which an absolute credit to their profession. I highly recommend Thomas Wood to anyone seeking an estate agent that goes over and above with all aspects of the process.

To leave the tenancy early, they made us pay the "marketing" costs of the property which were over £500.
Then, when there was an issue with the energy provider miscalculating the end of contract energy bill, they told me they can't do anything and to speak to the landlord.
Overall, they're really nice... until you have any issues. I feel very taken advantage of all things considered.

We very recently completed on a sale and purchase with Thomas H Wood. Having experience in the industry I was wrongly expecting an average service. Paul and Simon are both extremely knowledgeable and professional and are well connected if you are looking to buy your dream home or sell at the right price for you. Karen and Anna-Marie are excellent sales chasers and really arent afraid to pick up the phone to the conveyancers to het things moving. I will not use anyone else for any future moves or purchases. Sadly, we had to sell our mother's home following her death and, after considering a few estate agents, we opted for Thomas H Wood to market the property because they gave a realistic valuation that was what we predicted after checking what other properties in the area had sold for. Within a few days there were a number of enquiries and eventually, within a week, we were pleased to accept a good offer. Once this was done the staff were brilliant, particularly Annemarie and Karen (along with Simon and Paul) in ensuring the sale progressed smoothly. In the end, it was a trouble free process - because of the staff - and it made a difficult process more bearable for us. Well done!

Been desperately looking for a house recently and had a number of viewings. We found a house that was under this company that looked really promising and in a perfect location.
After booking a viewing for the property we had seen that the property was listed as let agreed online, so I rang up to confirm if it was taken or not. They assured me that the property was not taken and to continue with our viewing. We then took time out of work to show for the viewing and no one was there. I rang them up and they informed us that the house had been taken and we should have received an email. We DID NOT receive one call or an email letting us know the viewing was cancelled.
Terrible communication for such a small company, disappointed with the way they handle this situation.

The best estate agents I have used by far. I have been buying and selling houses for most of my adult life, and Thomas H Wood are miles ahead of most Cardiff agents. As they are a small unit they really do care. The service, the photos, the feedback straight after viewings and the whole process was absolutely pain free.
