Really unhappy with agency behavior. When i came home and from my ceiling was raining, because upstairs in other flat broke boiler, i had to wait till after weekend,sort and dry everything on my money and time, my furniture was damaged, nobody checked our flat.. after few months we had issues with electricity all floor must be wet underneath but nobody checked it,they just came and said it's fine.. nobody offer help.. never mind..we have no access to meter reading and if I ask for it there is no response in weeks, even if i ask again! Really bad service from Greg. I am thinking to leave that flat even I like it before. Just because of agency. It's moldy and a lot of other issues and I do not have power to deal with it if nobody make time to respond. I am being just left and ignored. If i could, i would give to zero stars for agency

We had a great experience renting through this agency. Over the five years we lived in the house, any issues that arose were resolved quickly and efficiently. Whenever we needed assistance, we always received prompt and professional support. Highly recommend!

There needs to be an option for zero stars. Lazy, incompetent property managers. Rude and aggressive staff. Stay well away. So many other options in rugby, every single one would be better than Thornton's.

My daughter in law had the unfortunate time of dealing with these agents, moving out on her own she needed support and got none! Instead she was not helped in any way by these agents when she needed it and was verbally abused on numerous occasions by a male agent. This male agent should not be working with the public. The things they think they can get away with because they're " estate agents" is absolutely ridiculous!
I would not wish this service on anyone. She has a lot of proof and is taking it further with the relevant legislation.
I'm writing this review to warn all the parents out there, avoid this agents for your children's sake, they will not be treated fairly and its so upsetting!
I will do everything to support her through this and honestly just AVOID!!

If I could give them no stars I would. Absolute worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. Unprofessional rude and waste of time. Save your money and go elsewhere! Not worth your time or energy! Bad awful company!
I'd you do happen to use this agent stay clear of Greg! He is nothing but an abusive bully! Stay clear.

Best agency in Rugby. Super helpful, always there for us. We didn't had to wait a second to get our heating unit fixed when it broke down. Greg is always going above and beyond to keep the tenants happy. 10/5!

Never rented before, but for personal reasons had to get somewhere fast. Claire was very understanding and supportive, my anxiety was through the roof. Literally hadn't even a cup to my name. To find a box full of bits and pieces was mind blowing. Thank You . I am not settled and peaceful and ready to start my next chapter. My faith in people restore. Bless You Claire and others.

Completed on my first By to Let property, originally with the intention of managing myself. After speaking with a few agents, soon realised there was so much legislation compliance and the like. From that first call for fees etc, they were so helpful. Popped in for a chat and never looked back.
Collected my keys on the Friday and a my first tenant moved in 10 days later. Trouble free and stress free process. Joan will be moving her property over after Christmas. Highly recommend.

I was a tenant for 2 years. Whilst the service hasn't always been bad, they charge for basically everything and there's always the feeling they are trying to get money out of you whenever possible. The guy who managed my tenancy was not sensible to requests, took a long time to answer e-mails or didn't answer them at all.
Prior to leaving the property, I sent more than one e-mail and also called to arrange the inventory inspection to agree on the things they felt were needed. No answer or a call back received. Again, little to no communication can be established with them.
After I put my review here, I received a very aggressive call from them and was offended after I didn't want to justify my reasons for the low score.
Again, do not reccomend

When ever i have a property vacant, i just email them, post the keys and they do the rest. Great that they now look after my Birmingham apartments as well. Claire has been delightful. Five star service.

i recently moved to the area and had no clue on how to rent. Claire has been awesome, you can certainly tell she has been in the industry for many years. Very knowledgeable , made sure i understood the contract and liability before i signed. New friend x

Living in London, i needed the peace of mind that my properties are being managed to a high level. Been with this agent over a year now and its been brilliant service. Zero down time, rents paid on time month in month out. Minimal repair just lovely leave everything to them.
Just purchasing another in Northampton and they will be managing that one too. Landlords, look no further.

If you are considering using their services please look elsewhere. Service is very very bad, rude, unprofessional attitude.
Fees are very high and it is not worth the stress.
If you want to be treated in a good way avoid this agency !
I wish someone would tell me before I used their services.

Having never sold a property before, i thought it would be an overwhelming prospect. I did not like the thought of strangers poking around my rooms, i didn't even want the neighbours seeing it on the screen.

Let me tell you - rented through Greg for over 5 years, had to move with my job, the agent here in Bournemouth is hopeless. No repairs ever done. Greg was great, cant recommend enough. Grass is rarely greener.

Rented with these people for 9 years, moved to three of their properties. Started in a one bed studio, then a larger flat and then a terrace. Always been very helpful, dealt with the repairs very swiftly. I guess the part we appreciated the most was once we were in a position to buy our first home, they helped us, with the areas to buy, and those to avoid. They helped with the pricing and the offers we should make. They didn't need to that, very grateful. When we move to a bigger house, you know you will be selling it for us. Cheers John and Marie

Dad recently passed, and he insisted that his house was sold through Tracy.
He had sold and purchased twice through her over the years and would not consider going anywhere else. In fact she is now considered the families Estate Agent. She sold Dads house while probate was being granted.
Explained everything, helped with the will paperwork, the conveyancing forms, spent hours helping the family . I'm sure she wont mind me adding, you can certainly tell she has over 30 years experience of property, conveyancing and probate experience. We will be forever grateful Tracy. Greg initially showed me around the property i rung in about, needed a bit to much work for my liking. Very annoying when landlords don't spend money updating their properties. He then took me to another house that i had not considered, it was ideal. Explained all the procedure ( i havent rented before) . Even helped me with my settee, when he was checking smoke alarms. Brilliant service, i owe you a pint, at least mate.

This agent has looked after my portfolio for many years, can not fault them. Rent received on time, month on month. Repairs organised swiftly and considering the number of properties i have with them, surprised its ran so smoothly over the years. The tenants they placed have been the same, often for many years. As your response has clearly been to portray us as "nightmare abusive tenants" I feel it is only right to echo my partners review and our awful experience with yourselves.
It was not in fact the problems with the boiler that has left us with such a bad feeling towards yourself but actually the appalling treatment of ourselves after this.
The phonecall that you claim to be "threatening" towards a member of staff was in fact a concerned parent reacting to not being taken seriously, the threat "to come down there" is being taken out of context when the actual words were "we will be in tomorrow morning." It was in fact Greg that seems to enjoy threatening people with social services (however being a deputy child protection officer myself I am certain that they would be more concerned about your behaviour than ours!)
I agree it was in fact the landlord who disposed of our property and not yourself, this will be dealt with accordingly as I'm sure he is aware of his legal duties around the disposal of a tenants property. As he had refused to discuss this with me, I have no option but to take this further.
As you state, life is short, and we are happy to move on with our lives now we have found a genuine landlord through a helpful and caring letting agents. We will continue to warn people against using your business and shall be forwarding our complaint and concerns about yourselves and the landlord through the correct channels.
I have no doubt you will respond to this review (unlike the emails I sent that were constantly unanswered) however I'm sure you'll appreciate that we no longer have an interest in communicating with you directly.

Recently moved from London, with many years in the letting Industry. A profession that is not for many, why you may ask, Because you have certain people that seem to think "The World owes them".
1) They expect / demand repairs are carried out that very day
2) They think shouting and threatening women is normal !
3) They never take ownership for their shortcomings, or lack of upbringing.
4) They seem to "get off" on simply being vile ...
5) Everone else owes them
BUT, you know what for every awful tenant that you come across, there are some simply lovely ones, the ones that :
1) Act respectfully, appreciate your trying to sort issues. Often when contractors are working flat out.
2) That pay their rent on time, month on month.
3) That look after the rental properties as though their own.
4) That even do normal wear and tear repairs with out expecting the landlord to deal with even a dripping tap in 24 hours.
5) The ones that are such a pleasure to deal with, you have housed and rehoused many many times. To then see them go on to buy their first home, then to come back three years later for you to sell for them. These are the human beings that give me joy in this profession. Thank the lord for these tenants and long may the good ones continue .........

Above and Beyond - Can not believe I could be so stupid to leave my bag on the train lat night. Thank god my phone was in my pocket, no house keys and getting on for mid night. I emailed in on the complete off chance, to get an answer at that time blew me away. within 30 mins you had collected the master keys and met me at the flat. I cant put in to words how happy myself and partner are to be away from this agents complete lack of empathy and care for their customers.
Left without a working boiler for nearly 2 weeks when our daughter was only 14 days old and we were advised by Tracy that she was annoyed because we were given her private heater and that it's not her job to keep our baby warm. They also threatened us with social services to deter us from sending emails with our concerns.
48 hours after leaving the property we notified Tracy at Thornton Robson that we had left my mothers wedding dress behind. We were never allowed to go and pick up the dress and my partner was advised she would have to go through bins to try and find it. We later found it had been thrown away by the landlord without a thought and not even an apology given.
The only saving grace was we received our full deposit back however this was only because we had left it near impossible for them to deduct.
Greg and Tracy are 2 of the most arrogant human beings we have ever had the misfortune to deal with and it seems looking at previous reviews people are becoming wise to the fact this agency is all about the money and not their customers who pay over the odds for a shocking non existent service. The stress and upset that this letting agents have caused to a new family in the first 3 months of our daughters life just shows the kind of people they are.
