I tried to buy a house from them, but my initial mortgage application was delayed by two months after being flagged. I eventually found another lender, and everything was going smoothly—until they suddenly sold the house to another buyer in the middle of the process. They could have been upfront and told me there was another offer before my mortgage application, but they weren’t honest about it. It was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend buying or selling with them.

We thought about selling our property around March 2024 and after a property we liked had already sold, the team at Urban and Rural were patient with us while we tried to find the perfect house. Fast forward to December and we did. We informed them in early January and 10 days later our house sold.
I want to specifically thank Paul, Tracey and Amy. Paul is approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and transparent about what the housing market has to offer. Tracey was brilliant at keeping in touch after the sale and informed us of the process of post sale as we had never done this before. Amy had been great at booking in viewings to ensure our house had the attention in needed to sell. Most of all, all 3 were human. Thank you to you all for the lovely conversations while going through this process.

We recently completed our sale and purchase using Urban & Rural and we highly recommend their services to anyone considering a home move in the Ampthill area.
Whilst we had a difficult moving experience (through absolutely no fault of Urban & Rural) they stepped up and went the extra mile when we needed additional support. This included managing to re-sell our property within 24 hours, when the previous buyer dropped out just prior to exchanging. All of this happening whilst we had a 1-week old baby!
Big thanks in particular go to Paul and Amy from sales and Tracey in aftersales. Without the phenomenal efforts from these three people, I think we would’ve given up on the house moving journey. But, now we are unpacking boxes in our dream home!

We found David to be extremely knowledgeable and professional and appreciated the time he took to explain how the valuation of our house was determined. Having decided to proceed, we were on the market very quickly and our house then sold in little over a week - demonstrating the price was spot on. Recently sold our house through U&R Ampthill. Some parts of the chain were also using them so they took charge and valiantly lead the entire chain through to completion (without much input from the other agents involved). Friendly and professional from the start with Ollie who handles the valuation and getting you on the market, communication was so easy, happy to use WhatsApp when we were abroad, then Amy diligently managing the sales and viewings, and finally over to Georgina who was a complete superstar navigating the complexities of different parties involved (which was painful at times) to get us over the line. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again (not that we’re ever moving again ????). Thank you.

I have moved into Ampthill and my purchase was through this branch of Urban and Rural. Great service from all staff throughout the journey of the sale from start to finish. The sale was on the cusp of falling through but Amy and Briar went above and beyond to keep it going and to keep the vendor sweet. I could of negotiated the price abit more as the property was a dooer upper in alot of ways and I've had to spend alot to bring it up. However, it is Ampthill and at that point nothing was for sale anywhere and my house in Solihull had sold in 3 days of going live, so beggers can't be choosers. The prosecco and biscuits were a nice finishing touch to the sale but lol I explained im a Muslim and couldn't drink it :DD

Poor follow up, took seven months to exchange and required both myself and the agent working on behalf of my sale to continuously chase. Really a disappointing and unnecessarily stressful experience.
