Savills were the letting agent for my property for about 6yrs after being bought by Area Estates. Savills do bare minimum with regards to repairs and maintenance. Camilla Kirby who recently left the company was lovely and made every effort to assist with the limited authority she had, sadly she was replaced by Rachel Bentley who is condescending, rude and quite frankly should not deal with the public in any capacity. Following a S21 notice due to selling before the new landlord rules come into affect in May, they attempted to charge £760 for removal of a fish tank from the loft of property despite it being in the property from the beginning of the tenancy and having no proof it wasn’t. She lied in a reference and stated that it couldn’t be changed as the director had approved it, and when I pressed her saying the reference was factually incorrect she stated “the DWP may be able to assist you with something in writing about your benefits”.... Just no! There customer service is beyond awful. There specialists are not worth there money. As proof I had two copies of 1 item, one valued at halls one valued by another firm. The halls valuation was less than 100 pounds. Yet the other was valued and sold for 800 pounds. Both items where I. Identical condition. I would not trust this company again. I should point out both items where sold in the Shrewsbury area. So the difference cannot be put down to regional differences. Be very wary if planning to or currently using this firm.... Read more
