25th May 2023 (2 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

15th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Our experience with this agent was extremely disappointing and, frankly, shocking. We initially viewed the property with the vendor, and everything seemed positive. The house was listed just under £760k. At the time, our budget could stretch to around £700k (possibly slightly more). We were told this wouldn’t be enough as there was an offer of £725k on the table, although that buyer still needed to sell. On that basis, we stepped back. Several weeks later, after running the numbers again and while our own sale was uncertain, we increased our offer to £710k. After a lengthy phone conversation, the agent told us repeatedly that £725k was the figure required for a deal and that anything below this would not be considered. We were also told the vendor was thinking of withdrawing the property from the market until spring. Once our buyer had sold again, we managed to stretch to £725k and arranged a second viewing to finalise matters. During that viewing, the vendor was surprised to hear that £725k had been presented as an acceptable figure — she stated she had never told the agent she would accept this and was actually looking for much closer to £750k. When we raised this with the agent, they denied everything that had previously been said and refused to provide call recordings to clarify the situation. When pressed, the conversation became abrupt and the phone call was cut off. Had we simply been told from the start that the vendor wanted closer to £750k, we would have accepted that and made an informed decision. Instead, we were repeatedly told that £725k was the deal figure, only to later discover this was not true. This showed a serious lack of professionalism and transparency, wasted time, and caused unnecessary stress. My advice to anyone dealing with this agent is to record your own conversations. In our case, clear discussions were later denied and no call recordings were provided when requested.

Each member of the team went over and above to ensure my purchase was seamless, and kept me informed at every stage. They were professional, courteous and made my first house purchase memorable for all the right reasons. Can't thank them enough!

Thanks to Thomas Barker and the staff at the YEADON branch for finally getting our house sale over the line, despite the involvement of a pretty inept conveyancing solicitor on behalf of our buyer. They arranged a viewing day within a week of contacting them and produced a professional online brochure. We had 3 offers from the viewing day and literally "sold" our house within the hour. What followed was quite a long drawn out process to completion but Thomas and the other members of staff remained professional, responsive & helpful, despite my nagging :). 10th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)I cannot stress enough how horrible this branch is. The staff are incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Any time a concern or question is raised, instead of being helpful, you are met with attitude, excuses, and condescending responses. It’s like they actively enjoy making tenants feel frustrated and powerless.<br><br>From start to finish, this branch shows zero respect or care for the people renting through them. They consistently ignore evidence, refuse to acknowledge mistakes, and seem to think that being unpleasant is an acceptable way to handle complaints. I’ve never experienced such a shocking level of arrogance and unhelpfulness from a lettings office.<br><br>Dealing with this branch is a waste of time, money, and energy. They have no accountability, no professionalism, and absolutely no regard for tenants. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this branch entirely, there are plenty of other agencies that actually treat people like human beings.

It was a bit of a battle throughout the whole process as dealing with leasehold properties isn’t straight forward at the moment but they stuck with it and got the job done! 1st Mar 2026 (17 days ago)I chose Fowler and Powell after a recommendation from my golf teacher! And I’m so glad I took his advice. I was assigned Caitlyn to help rent out my property in Leeds and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She secured a tenant after just 1 viewing, which exceeded all of wildest expectations. Any query I had - she usually either answered straight away, or within a few hours (also thanks to Kara!!). This really gave me the peace of mind everything was going smoothly and I was updated every step of the way. Caitlyn also took on additional requests such as plumbing work, EPC certificates and safety certificates to ensure I didn’t have to project manage all of those in addition to a full time job, moving responsibilities and other personal commitments. This took a weight off my shoulders and was all sorted within a week. Hand on heart - I could not have asked for more, and I have worked with 3 other estate agents in Leeds and none have come close to the service Caitlyn has provided to me. Being able to get an answer to maybe even the simplest of queries within a day has been exceptional , especially knowing I am one of multiple accounts she is juggling on a daily basis. Thankyou Caitlyn for being an all round star x

She handled everything, even down to perfecting photos to showcase the properties at their best. Her advice and guidance throughout were invaluable.
