Our house was on the market for about six weeks and we only had two viewings during that time, so in the end we decided to take it off the market as the experience wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for. One thing I didn’t like was that we met one estate agent for our valuation, initial consultation, and photos, but after that we never heard from him again. Instead, a different agent we’d never met carried out the viewings. This person didn’t know us or what we wanted potential buyers to know about our house, including specific details we’d shared with the original agent. We were disappointed as we expected the person we’d built rapport with to be the one doing the viewings

6th Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)My experience renting through Peter Alan has been absolutely appalling. The property is poorly maintained and often left in an untidy and unacceptable condition. When issues are reported, the contractors sent out appear incompetent and unqualified, repeatedly carrying out substandard work that does not resolve the problems. Repairs are rushed, poorly done, and nowhere near an acceptable standard. Raising concerns with staff has been equally unpleasant. The attitude from staff members is consistently unprofessional, arrogant, and rude. I’ve experienced condescending behaviour, poor phone manners, and a complete lack of empathy or accountability when reporting genuine property issues. To make matters worse, the rent being charged is scandalous given the poor living conditions. The rent has increased by £350 within just 18 months, far beyond what is reasonable during a cost-of-living crisis, especially for a property that is clearly not being properly maintained. These living conditions are not suitable for human beings, let alone tenants paying such inflated rent. I am counting down the days until I can move out and would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Peter Alan to think very carefully before doing so.

We are extremely pleased with the service, professionalism and attitude that Smooth Move have shown us. Highly recommended!

From the very first meeting through to completion, the whole team was professional, proactive, and genuinely friendly. They kept me informed every step of the way, offered clear and honest advice, and made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth, manageable and a pleasurable experience. Their marketing was excellent with a beautiful video and lovely photographs, the communication was always prompt, and they were incredibly supportive during negotiations right through to the final stages. What really stood out was their personal approach. Every member of the team cared about getting the best outcome for me, and it showed in the result. I would highly recommend Archer & Co in Usk to anyone looking to sell their home. Thank you so much for all your hard work — I am truly grateful!
3rd Mar 2026 (15 days ago)I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked a viewing for a rental property, but no one showed up at the flat. I also did not receive any phone call or notification to explain what happened. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and wasted my time. I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.

9th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)House been on the market since June 25 only had 3 viewings. Sold Feb 26. No contact from m2 on to tell us when viewing was booked No updates at all in-between, where as other estate agents offer weekly updates.

12th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Review for Fine & Country Cardiff – Deeply Unprofessional and Untrustworthy I strongly advise anyone considering buying a property through Fine & Country Cardiff to think twice. We dealt with Gemma, and the experience has been nothing short of appalling. From the beginning, the team were overly pushy and dismissive of our concerns. But once the sale was completed, their attitude turned outright negligent. Despite purchasing a high-value property marketed as a “smart home,” no one had the courtesy to hand over the keys in person. Instead, we were told they were “in the mailbox” and that was the end of their involvement. Upon arrival, we found the garage door was broken and unopenable. An engineer has since confirmed it must be completely replaced at a cost of £2,000. The bathroom sliding door is stuck, meaning steam from the shower floods into the room. And most critically, the entire smart home system is inaccessible. We were given login details linked to an email address that is not ours. After 10 days of calls, emails, and speaking to the U.S.-based provider, we still cannot even turn on the lights. Fine & Country Cardiff have made no effort to assist. No follow-up, no explanation, and certainly no responsibility taken. Their behaviour has been unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic courtesy. I rarely leave reviews, but this situation has caused serious stress and inconvenience. Avoid this agency at all costs. They disappear the moment the payment clears and leave you to deal with all the problems they never disclosed.
