6th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)I have been extremely happy with the excellent service from Tom Brooks at Stephensons Estate Agents . From our first meeting I found Tom to be very professional and incredibly knowledgeable . We instructed Tom to help sell our late parents bungalow . This property had its challenges , however Tom did much research and found solutions along the way . He kept us fully informed at all times and made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and well managed . Tom was always available to speak to at any time of the day which I found very reassuring. I would highly recommend using Tom at Stephensons to sell your property.
15th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Our experience with this agent was extremely disappointing and, frankly, shocking. We initially viewed the property with the vendor, and everything seemed positive. The house was listed just under £760k. At the time, our budget could stretch to around £700k (possibly slightly more). We were told this wouldn’t be enough as there was an offer of £725k on the table, although that buyer still needed to sell. On that basis, we stepped back. Several weeks later, after running the numbers again and while our own sale was uncertain, we increased our offer to £710k. After a lengthy phone conversation, the agent told us repeatedly that £725k was the figure required for a deal and that anything below this would not be considered. We were also told the vendor was thinking of withdrawing the property from the market until spring. Once our buyer had sold again, we managed to stretch to £725k and arranged a second viewing to finalise matters. During that viewing, the vendor was surprised to hear that £725k had been presented as an acceptable figure — she stated she had never told the agent she would accept this and was actually looking for much closer to £750k. When we raised this with the agent, they denied everything that had previously been said and refused to provide call recordings to clarify the situation. When pressed, the conversation became abrupt and the phone call was cut off. Had we simply been told from the start that the vendor wanted closer to £750k, we would have accepted that and made an informed decision. Instead, we were repeatedly told that £725k was the deal figure, only to later discover this was not true. This showed a serious lack of professionalism and transparency, wasted time, and caused unnecessary stress. My advice to anyone dealing with this agent is to record your own conversations. In our case, clear discussions were later denied and no call recordings were provided when requested.

We sold our bungalow and the entire process from end to end was slick and efficient, from the original valuation carried out by Michael to the ongoing unapparelled support from Natalie who not only helped to actually sell our property but went on to provide continuous support and guidance throughout the entire process. It's a well know statistic that moving home is one of the most stressful things you can ever experience. However, we have to say that receiving the level of care and support we received from Natalie was not something we'd never experienced before and she enabled the move to be smooth and stress free. We have moved several times and we've never ever recieved such sublime service, care and support as we had with Redmove Estate Agents. If you're selling/buying a property and you want the very best then choose Redmove. High end fantastic service and value for money! Thank you so much to Michael, Natalie, & the Team for a job incredibly well done!!

6th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)I had Karen for my viewing and everything leading to me renting this new house in York. I genuinely couldnt have asked for a kinder, more attentive estate agent. Karen walked me through every single step, responding nigh on immediately to every part. Not only that but when I moved in, Ewemove were kind enough to supply a gift box and a welcome card. The house is well kept and was even cleaned! Never had an estate agent nearly as good, nowhere close. Thank you Karen. (Holly)

6th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)We selected Cook Residential to sell our apartment because we’d had a positive experience with them in the past and their valuation of the property seemed realistic. We are very glad that we made this decision as the sale on this occasion proved difficult for reasons outside their control but they remained effective and positive throughout. We had dealings with a number of their staff, all of whom were invariably friendly and polite, but during the prolonged conveyancing process it was specifically Zack Wojtowicz who made the difference. With unfaltering tenacity he kept the momentum going by liaising regularly with both sets of solicitors, ensuring that the appropriate next steps were identified and the necessary actions taken, and he was assiduous in keeping us informed of progress on a regular weekly basis. His calm, positive approach, sound advice , combined with his expertise and effective communication, made all the difference – without his interventions the process would potentially have taken much longer and would certainly have been considerably more stressful.

As a firm they don’t simply rely on RightMove, but instead Monroe offer a wealth of potential buyers who they take the time to match with the right property. Communication has been excellent, with good commercial and supportive advice always available. Monroe took time to learn about our house and delivered continuity with both viewings and feedback. Once we had agreed a sale Monroe’s sales progression coordinator ensured that all solicitors in our chain were kept in the loop and that potential delays were unblocked by exceptional communication skills. Having used a number of estate agents over the years we have never had such an excellent service and enjoyable experience as we have with the team at Monroe. What really stood out to us is that Harvey is a man of his word. If he says he’ll call you back, he does at exactly the time he promises. That level of reliability is rare and incredibly appreciated. He consistently goes out of his way to support us in our search, always making us feel like a priority. We especially value his honesty. If he’s unsure about something, he’ll say so then take the time to find the correct information and come back to us. There’s no guesswork, no hard sales tactics, and absolutely no “flip flop” answers just straightforward, trustworthy advice. The York branch is very lucky to have him. He was brilliant handling my many, many questions as a new Landlord, really clear in him communication and made everything feel achievable and simple at quite an overwhelming time. I would absolutely recommend the service provided by him at Reeds Rains to any new or tenured landlords.
